C1946 Devil Soul's Continuous Transfer(2)
Having delivered her message, she paid no mind to whether Zheng Luanjie left or not and set her sights on the Hawk God Soderis.
Her Solar Spirit Body had transformed into an amethyst-like form. In flight, it began to draw in cosmic energy, which she refined into strands of magic power that complemented her devil soul.
She flew in a graceful arc, her form flickering uncertainly, until she finally converged with Soderis, who was desperately trying to evade the Lizard.
Overcome with fear and anxiety, Soderis caught sight of a small purple light. Upon realizing it was an inconsequential Otherkin of this world, he lazily swiped at it with what remained of his eagle claw.
With a slash, seven bright silver lightning bolts erupted from the claw, weaving into a cage of electric arcs, seemingly poised to engulf Kaiya.
Kaiya let out a mocking laugh.
She deftly escaped the encroaching cage of silver lightning and, in a flash, was beside the eagle claw, her arm wreathed in purple mist, lightly grazing Soderis's talon.
With a playful giggle, she distanced herself from Soderis.
It appeared she wasn't inclined to let Qin Yan's Solar Spirit Body be so easily destroyed.
Once Soderis's claw was touched by a hint of purple soul fire, it ignited rapidly like a wildfire!
The dark fire crept into the eagle claw, traveling up through flesh and blood, and with the speed of lightning, it invaded the beast soul, setting it ablaze with ferocity.
Soderis's eyes, the head of the eagle, his nostrils, and mouth were all ablaze with purple flames.
Kaiya, having possessed Qin Yan, withdrew slightly, the deep purple hue of her body gradually lightening.
The majority of her descended devil soul had been transferred into Soderis's body through a burst of dark fire, penetrating the Beast God's form and wreaking havoc unchecked.
Soderis let out a harrowing scream, his silver-gray wings beating wildly as if trying to dispel the horrific dark fire consuming his mind and mouth.
His consciousness began to blur, and the memories within his beast soul seemed to be devoured by a demonic force.
His spiritual link to the Dark Tower, along with his frantic flight, were abruptly severed.
The Lizard seized the opportunity to catch up.
Arriving on the scene, he stared in astonishment at the Hawk God Soderis's altered state. Witnessing the dark fire burning in Soderis's eyes, he immediately began to scour the area.
Qin Yan appeared to be an outsider in the scene.
"Reid, or... Kaiya?"
The old Lizard inquired with a hint of uncertainty.
"Qin Yan!" she laughed lightly. "What do you think?"
The Lizard nodded, comprehending that Kaiya, who should have been in the Stellar Oblivion, had somehow managed to make her descent through an enigmatic mystique.
The mere arrival of the devil soul had already brought misfortune upon Soderis, who was oblivious to the true nature of the threat.
Had Soderis foreseen that the seemingly inconsequential individual he thought he could easily slaughter was, in fact, one of the mightiest beings in this world, he would have never been so impetuous.
He would have harnessed the power of the Dark Tower and summoned all his bloodline's might, encasing his Solar Spirit Body and beast soul in layers of protective silver lightning.
"I require the heart of this silver hawk, preferably still beating and with a sliver of residual soul consciousness intact," the old Lizard stated earnestly.
Kaiya, now inhabiting Qin Yan's body and wearing her visage with a pleasant smile, had witnessed the Abyssal Winged Lizard's torment at the hands of the silver hawk back in the Stellar Oblivion.
"In due time, you'll receive a more intact version of it," Kaiya assured him. "Unlike you, I harbor no craving for its blood or flesh. What I seek is..."
A sinister gleam shone in Kaiya's eyes.
The Hawk God Soderis was enveloped in a cascade of purple dark fire, yet his feathers and flesh remained unscathed, not even singed.
The dark fire did not rage fiercely.
Instead, it was Soderis's beast soul that seemed to fuel the dark fire, now ignited by Kaiya.
"I'm after the memories within its beast soul. I aim to unravel the state of the Wasteland and the power of the Lord of Ruin through it. Naturally, the soul of a higher-tier entity also serves as a potent supplement for me," Kaiya explained with a smile.
The old Lizard nodded in understanding. "Then, I leave it in your capable hands. I shall attend to the other two Beast Gods."
Casting a glance at the Abyssal Leviathan that had also entered the Water Mysterious Realm, the Lizard was about to depart when a thought struck him. "Kaiya, keep an eye out for the last of the six Beast Gods here. Be vigilant and try to discern where the final one might be concealed."
"Understood."
After her declaration, the Lizard wasted no time and dashed directly toward the Abyssal Leviathan without a backward glance.
...
Elsewhere.
Yu Yuan, in pursuit of Panot, glanced over and witnessed Soderis engulfed in dark flames.
He tuned in attentively and overheard the conversation between Lizard and Kaiya.
He could even sense that Soderis's beast soul was ensnared by another of Kaiya's ethereal specters at the location of his head.
The mystique Kaiya employed was akin to the technique he had previously used, siphoning strands of memories from Soderis's beast soul.
Meanwhile, Kaiya's devil soul shadow was becoming increasingly tangible.
This indicated that the phantom within Soderis's soul sea was bolstering itself with his beast soul while stripping away Soderis's memories.
Yu Yuan was taken aback by Kaiya's presence.
In Aihoyari, where the void was off-limits, the God-King, who should have been in the Stellar Oblivion, not only managed to reach this realm but also effortlessly subdued Soderis.
She seemed to have expended minimal effort.
"What are you sneaking peeks at? Finish off that plump rat quickly; I need to speak with you."
Despite the millions of asteroids and the expanse of the starry sea separating them, Kaiya caught Yu Yuan's stare. She beckoned to him before calling out.
Yu Yuan wore a peculiar look. For in this moment, she had taken possession of Qin Yan's body.
Speaking through Qin Yan's Solar Spirit Body, her demure appearance was somewhat incongruous with her typically brash and rugged demeanor.
Swoosh!
The Dark Tower, which had been drawn toward Soderis, was now summoned away by Panot after the invasion of Soderis's beast soul and the severance of their psychic link.
The Dark Tower had become the escape vehicle for the Beast God.
Panot, with a belt cinched around his waist, re-entered the Dark Tower. All the powers associated with the suppression of vital energy were discarded by the Rat God.
The Dark Tower was now evading capture within Aihoyari.
Fear overflowed in Panot's heart.
The two cosmic giant beasts were the least of his worries; he had the misfortune of encountering this realm's emissary of Primal Blood. In his frantic attempt to flee, Kaiya emerged unexpectedly.
Panot was clueless about the events that had transpired with Soderis. He witnessed an unknown force completely overtaking Soderis's beast soul.
It was terrifying!
Panot developed a deep-seated unease about the Origin Realm and its myriad of peculiar inhabitants.
