C1952 The Legend of the Eleventh Level
The fire phoenix, whose true name remained unknown, ventured into a desolate and unnamed Astral Domain, devoid of life.
The Abyssal Greater Basilisk, heeding Yu Yuan's command, refrained from pursuing the fire phoenix and instead listened to Yu Yuan's reasoning.
Yu Yuan, with a grave look, watched the departure of the fire phoenix, acknowledging the gravity of the moment.
He was not certain of victory against the fire phoenix; the light barrier imbued with fire magic was not something he could shatter with ease.
The presence of the fire phoenix brought him to the realization that even the Wasteland harbored a Beast God of his caliber.
"Earthfire."
Yu Yuan slowly withdrew his attention.
The stance of the phoenix and her coveting of the Earthfire ultimately persuaded Yu Yuan to relinquish his hold.
The Earthfire served as the final bastion for the Everlands.
The Abyssal Treasure, known for its soul-corroding and beguiling powers, had ensnared the First Undead Dominator, the Root of the Lunar Meridian, during the establishment of the Path of Undead within the Everlands.
The Lunar Meridian, craving the Primal Soul, had taken root in the Everlands and appeared to be slowly succumbing to the Abyss's transformative influence.
The Earthfire, intended as the guardian of the Primal Soul, seemed to have suffered corruption after the Primal Soul's integration with the Abyssal Treasure.
Neither the Primal Soul nor the Root of the Lunar Meridian could evade the influence; it appeared that the Earthfire had also been compromised.
This was evident when the Earthfire instructed Mo Baichuan to summon his Solar Spirit back to the Everlands.
Before long, he would rejoin Taishi and the Boulderdawn Sect's mightiest in a return to the grand world of the Everlands.
They would then confront not only Lin Daoke, Tan Xiaotian, Jihui, Han Miaoyuan, and the god-like Untamed but possibly the Earthfire as well.
Even if the Everlands were to fracture and crumble, the Earthfire, still enveloping the Abyssal Treasure merged with the Primal Soul, would present a formidable challenge to his fleshly form, and even his Solar Spirit would find it difficult to traverse those ultimate flames.
The emergence of the fire phoenix was an unforeseen boon, one that might indeed prove beneficial.
Upon the Dark Phoenix's initial descent into the Wasteland, her inaugural visit was to a fellow fire phoenix, to whom she pledged the Earthfire. She must have recognized the fire phoenix's unique capabilities.
"Alex!"
"Torres!"
After the fire phoenix took her leave, Panot, the Rat God stationed at the Onyx Altar, fell into contemplation. Suddenly, he bellowed out.
"You dare address me by that name?"
The ice phoenix, Alex, bristled with rage. Already seething with anger due to her sister's departure and the exchange between her sister, Panot, and Yu Yuan, she seemed on the brink of losing control.
"This is not the time for conflict!"
Panot remained detached, his gaze fixed on Yu Yuan as if preparing for a formidable adversary. He didn't spare a glance at the ice phoenix. Clutching the buckle in his plump hands, he winced as he conjured a sphere of bloody light.
The fist-sized bloody light, multifaceted like a crystal, shone with a brilliance that even Yu Yuan found astonishing. It was a blend of the lifeblood from numerous Beast Gods.
"Return!"
At Panot's command, the ice phoenix, Alex, transformed involuntarily into a streak of icy lightning, racing towards the Dark Tower and vanishing in the blink of an eye.
The Starbeast God, nearly obliterated by the combined forces of the Abyssal Leviathan and the Lizard, and the crystal in Panot's hands, suddenly established a bloodline connection. The towering Starbeast God, with its crystalline body, burst forth with swirling nebulas.
With a thunderous boom, the Starbeast God, now with a clear destination, burst forth from the Water Domain.
"I apologize."
Once free, it cast a regretful glance at the Galehound God, still ensnared within the Water Domain. "When my king arrives, he will seek vengeance on your behalf. Your lifeblood, in the hands of my king, will ensure your resurrection in the Wasteland."
With those words, the Starbeast God's massive form illuminated the dim starry expanse.
In an instant, it teleported.
When the Starbeast God and Alex reappeared beside Panot on the Onyx Altar, their Beast God forms had diminished, matching Panot's stature.
The Starbeast God was none other than Torres, an indispensable Beast God whose presence was crucial.
The star chart within Panot's body was an item coveted by the Lord of Ruin. Hence, within the multifaceted crystal, there resided an additional drop of divine lifeblood.
"A minor setback like this is no cause for panic or alarm."
Once the two Beast Gods had settled down, Panot exhaled a sigh of relief and offered them soothing reassurance.
"We, the ones who have entered here, are essentially scouts, the vanguard. Our significant losses serve to inform our king of the current combat capabilities of the Origin Realm after all these years."
"It's also... to prepare for what's to come."
He slowly regained his composure.
After his sister departed, Alex, with his memories now restored, appeared lost and disoriented, paying no heed to Panot's words.
Torres, the Starbeast God, continued to gaze at the Water Domain with eyes filled with fear and unease.
Once the Lizard vanished, it was known that he had teleported to the Dark Tower, and he had since made his way there.
Within the Lizard's platinum scales, currents of space magic flowed.
Yu Yuan's strike with the Life Blade had completely shattered the Dark Tower's seal over the Aihoyari. The Lizard sensed that space was no longer constrained.
"Enough babbling!"
Torres cried out sharply.
"Yu Yuan, Taiyin, I will not forget these names. Upon my return, I will report to our king. Yu Yuan, and the Starborne Lizard, never underestimate the might of the Wasteland. Among our numerous Beast Gods, the leader of the Phoenix Clan, the esteemed Fire Phoenix, ranks only fifth in combat power."
"Our King is widely recognized as having transcended the tenth level of Beast God, stepping into the realm of the eleventh level!"
"In the Wasteland, we determine strength more straightforwardly than in your Origin Realm. Only those who have exceeded the tenth level of Heir of Blood and have fully grasped the complete sequence of secrets can claim the eleventh level."
"The previous era's Titan Spinosaurus, and now Bertain, our King, are the true eleventh-level beings."
"You have yet to reach such a pinnacle of power."
"The Dark Phoenix falls just short as well."
Panot, the Rat God, seemed to be bolstering the spirits of Torres and Alex, as much as he was fortifying his own, as he spoke of the formidable eleventh-level power.
The Lord of Ruin, the Old Titan, the Titan Spinosaurus, and Bertain were regarded by him as peers within this esteemed tier.
The Dark Phoenix was just a hair's breadth away.
"You'll be meeting soon."
With those final words, the Dark Tower, no longer sealed in the void, was enveloped by rings of bloody light deep within the Aihoyari Astral Domain.
The blood light was replete with the secrets of spatial teleportation.
This Dark Tower, temporarily still within the Aihoyari, instantly connected with something from another Star River.
Yu Yuan sensed that the connection was with another Dark Tower.
But it wasn't the one in the Monsa Nebula!
There was another Dark Tower that had been brought along when they entered the Origin Realm. However, this third Dark Tower did not accompany the Beast God in the assault on the Monsa Nebula and Aihoyari. Shortly after entering, it had departed for a specific location.
Yu Yuan could not find any related memories in the dark hound or the memories of the Beast Gods who had perished.
The blood-red light swirling around this Dark Tower held the power from the crystal in Panot's possession, seemingly the Lord of Ruin's contingency plan.
Space shook violently, and space rifts burst forth uncontrollably. Yu Yuan was powerless to stop them.
"The belt, and... the Wheel of Life."
Watching Panot and the Dark Tower about to depart from Aihoyari, Yu Yuan's profound gaze suddenly turned a deep crimson.
It was as if a crimson canopy had enveloped the Primal Blood Continent.
The Dragon Slaying Stage underwent another transformation!
A colossal ring, resembling a hollow crimson moon, swiftly materialized in the void behind Yu Yuan.
A force that could draw on the lifeblood of all beings, emanating from the very essence of life, burst forth from within the massive blood wheel.
"The Wheel of Life," Yu Yuan declared.
The enormous blood wheel began to rotate slowly in the void behind him.
An irresistible magnetic field, targeting the blood of living creatures, emerged from the blood wheel at his back.
His deep crimson eyes were the key to targeting the object.
He fixed his gaze on the belt that Panot cherished as a treasure and commanded, "Come here!"
The belt, which Panot had been gathering and which encircled his corpulent demonic form, seemed to be drawn by another source of power and slipped from Panot's grasp.
The crystal in Panot's hand suddenly shattered, and his hands, too, began to bleed profusely.
The fragmented crystals found their way back into the buckle.
With a whoosh, the belt that Yu Yuan had set his sights on was released from the spatial tremors of the Dark Tower and soared directly toward him, streaking through the air like a blood-red meteor.
As the belt drew near, a tremor of realization passed through Yu Yuan. He keenly perceived a potential connection between the Primal Blood of the Origin Realm and that of the Wasteland.
Panot was seized by a sense of dread, its expression upon the belt's departure more mournful than even the deaths of the dark hound and Soderis.
Involuntarily, Panot knelt at the Onyx Altar, hands clasped in prayer, calling out to the belt, yearning for its return.
Alas, the enigmatic belt, with an air of eagerness and proactivity, made its way to the blood-red halo behind Yu Yuan, as if it were returning to the embrace of the Lord of Ruin.
It was, indeed, seeking out Yu Yuan.
With another whoosh, the Dark Tower, Panot, and the two Beast Gods vanished from the Aihoyari Astral Domain, just before the Lizard could arrive in haste.
"Has it escaped?"
Ignoring his own gaping wounds, the Lizard once again summoned his mastery of space magic for a short-range teleport, only to materialize at the vanishing point of the Dark Tower, his disappointment palpable. He sent out tendrils of his vital energy, probing the void in search of the Dark Tower's path, but to no avail.
Meanwhile, the belt that had parted from Panot and the Onyx Altar now rested securely in Yu Yuan's grasp. He had secured the Wasteland's rare treasure he coveted and immediately infused it with a thread of his vital energy.
Tiny glimmers of blood-red light, bearing the essence of the Bloodwraith, intermingled with the Crimson Realm within the belt, reminiscent of the inner workings of the Baneblade and Bloodhell. The distinction lay in the fact that the majority of the bloody luminescence originated from the myriad creatures of the Wasteland, with only a scant few sparks belonging to the lineages of the Silverscale Tribe, enchantresses, and Stoneborn.
"A fine treasure indeed," Yu Yuan mused with a smile, contemplating the swift delivery of the belt to the Solar Spirit at the Abyssal Gate.
His Solar Spirit would be able to harness the full potential of the belt, extracting the extraordinary essence of beings that had never before graced the Origin Realm.
The contest and predation between the Primal Blood of this realm and that of the Wasteland seem to unfold in this manner.
Through their chosen representatives, they nurture, collect, and observe the blood of the beings from one world.
They possess their own modes of existence and their own trajectories for survival and expansion.
"The Lord of Ruin, a terrifying eleventh-level existence."
The Lizard, who arrived in haste, gazed into the empty expanse, recalling Rat God Panot's words. He slowly transformed into an elder of the Silverscale Tribe, his expression grave as he pondered the significance of 'eleventh level.' He murmured to himself, "At last, there's a definitive statement."
