C1960 Transcendent Soul Essence!

The Boulderdawn sect, far removed from the human world, had long ago mastered the art of transforming humans into primordial spirits without relying on the essence of the Everlands.

Tianqi, Taixu, and Taishi had all achieved this feat.

Kaiya, with her human form and Sky Fiend Soul, had also ascended to the highest level.

However, a primordial spirit that had not merged with the source appeared to be one step weaker than the supreme beings of the Everlands.

"Didn't you say we needed the New Everlands to initiate the process?" Xuanli asked, clearly puzzled.

"It's not the same method," came the reply.

At that moment, the hall was occupied solely by Xuanli, Yu Yuan, and Kaiya.

The three God-Kings, Taishi, Tianqi, and Taixu, were each in their own domains and had not come.

After a moment of contemplation, Kaiya instructed, "Have the others leave first."

By 'others,' she meant all the Bloodbrawlers' guests, except for Xuanli.

This included Razses, Yuan Qingxi, Luo Yue, and others.

Luo Yue cast a pleading look at Yu Yuan and implored, "Teacher..."

At her address of "Teacher," Yu Yuan gave a slight cough.

Kaiya, with a hint of resignation, nodded, "Fine, she can stay."

With a gesture from Xuanli, a reluctant Yuan Qingxi, Razses, and a sullen Taruer reluctantly exited the grand hall.

"What I'm about to say must not be shared outside of this room," Kaiya warned, her gaze fixed on Luo Yue. She harbored some doubts about Yu Yuan's former disciple.

Luo Yue nodded earnestly, her expression grave, as she affirmed her understanding.

"As we're destined to return to the Everlands, many secrets will be unveiled, so it's time I shared more with you," Kaiya spoke casually, conjuring a plush lounge chair beside a stout azure pillar. While enjoying exotic fruits, she mused, "You've never encountered the beast soul of an alien beast in the Wraithlands, have you?"

Yu Yuan paused, taken aback.

Upon reflection, he realized that the residual souls he had encountered through the Thornsnare were from a variety of extraterrestrial beings: the Starborn, Shura, Dawnbringers, enchantresses, Shadowkin, and Wingkind.

Similarities abound. The Sky Fiend does not venture into the Wraithlands, nor does it succumb to the Crucible of Rebirth. Humans, too, were once exempt, relying instead on the Root of the Lunar Meridian within the Everlands to perpetuate the cycle of their souls.

Upon hearing Kaiya's explanation, Yu Yuan had an epiphany—the alien beast was also exempt from this cycle.

"Sky Fiends, alien beasts, and cosmic giant beasts—their souls simply dissipate after death in the Star River. These unique beings do not enter the Wraithlands for purification in the cycle of rebirth."

"In any Astral Domain where life thrives and cosmic energy exists, a measure of Soul Power can be found."

"In some regions, the proportion of Soul Power within the cosmic energy is minimal, while in others, it's considerably denser."

"Typically, an Astral Domain with denser Soul Power indicates a higher number of deceased Sky Fiends and alien beasts, or that they were more powerful."

Kaiya elaborated with precision.

"The so-called evilkind and Fellbeasts of the Everlands, like the alien beasts, also vanish after dying in extraterrestrial realms."

"Fundamentally, they are identical to the alien beasts."

With a flourish, Kaiya conjured several orbs of light within her palm, causing Yu Yuan's eyes to widen in astonishment.

Contained within these orbs were the soul essences of the Dark Hound, Hawk God Soderis, Tectonic Ripper God, White Ape, and Galehound God—all brimming with potent Soul Power!

These Beast Gods from the Wasteland had their souls captured by Kaiya. Soderis, the Tectonic Ripper God, and the White Ape met their ends at her hands.

Yet, the Dark Hound was slain by the Lizard, and the Galehound God fell to the Abyssal Leviathan. Surprisingly, she had managed to secure the souls of these two Beast Gods as well.

"For me, only the souls of tenth-level Beast Gods hold significant value," Kaiya stated, and with that, the glowing orbs of beast souls vanished into her palm.

"To ascend to a higher plane without drawing from the Everlands' source, one needs a vast and unique Soul Power for transformation."

"That substance is known as transcendent soul essence," she continued, locking eyes with Yu Yuan. "It was a visionary concept of yours, later validated by the Demon God Bertain, who discovered a definitive method to harness it."

Luo Yue and Xuanli regarded Yu Yuan with curious gazes.

They were both well aware of Yu Yuan's identity.

"I have a faint recollection of transcendent soul essence," Yu Yuan said, slightly distracted. Noticing Kaiya's glance, and realizing no new memories were surfacing, he gestured for her to continue.

The transformation process was, of course, about elevating a human's dominant soul to the lofty status of a Primal Demon's Demon God.

It signified a profound change at the soul level!

In the Everlands, it appeared that the Origin was needed to harness the transcendent soul essence.

"Condensing transcendent soul essence is exceedingly challenging," Kaiya sighed. "It's believed that it requires the residual soul of a mighty being after their demise. Moreover, upon death, it's ideal to have a soul devoid of excessive thoughts and memories—a pure soul."

"The souls of tenth-level warriors from extraterrestrial Otherkin are typically detected by the Path of Undead at the moment of death, leading them straight to the Wraithlands."

"Such souls, laden with numerous thoughts and memories, are not the best candidates."

"The souls of human Primordial Spirit experts, when they fall in battle beyond our world, tend to return to the Everlands. Like their tenth-level Otherkin counterparts, their souls are cluttered with thoughts and fragmented memories, requiring purification by the Levi River of the Wraithlands and the tributaries of the Everlands' Lunar Meridian."

"This is common knowledge to us."

Her use of 'us' encompassed everyone present.

Yu Yuan, Xuanli, Luo Yue, and the rest were all privy to this information.

Xuanli was a towering figure within the Bloodbrawlers, and Luo Yue was the Ghost King, both having long resided in the Land of Terror.

"The ideal substance for crafting transcendent soul essence is the souls of the mighty that do not pass into the Wraithlands, especially those whose souls are quickly freed from chaotic thoughts and fragmented memories. These are the souls of cosmic giant beasts and the Dark Deities of the Everlands."

Kaiya provided the answer, then gave a wry smile. "Cosmic giant beasts have nearly been hunted to extinction by the Dark Phoenix following the death of the Titan Spinosaurus. Should a cosmic giant beast perish, its beast soul can coalesce into transcendent soul essence, giving rise to a God-King."

"Because the beast souls of the cosmic giant beasts are extremely impressive."

"The Dark Deities of the Everlands pale in comparison. Three Dark Deities perished in the extraterrestrial realms, and they must be properly collected before they can be refined into a transcendent soul essence capable of creating a God-King."

"How many Dark Deities have fallen in the extraterrestrial Star River over the past tens of thousands of years?"

"Tianqi, Taixu, and Taishi represent the pinnacle of our Boulderdawn. The birth of these three God-Kings and the creation of their transcendent soul essence are the result of many years of accumulation."

"I see, it's quite a challenging process," Xuanli remarked thoughtfully.

"That was certainly the case before."

Kaiya cracked a smile, "But now the dynamics have changed. The invasion from the Wasteland and the emergence of numerous Beast Gods have actually provided us with an abundance of raw materials for refining transcendent soul essence."

"Hehe!"

As she spoke, Yu Yuan was instantly reminded of the purple dark fire that blazed in the brains of the White Ape and the Tectonic Ripper God.

The dark fire was Kaiya's method of refining the two beast souls.

It swiftly extracted and purged the memories and extraneous thoughts from the beast souls, rendering them into two pure substances that could be refined into transcendent soul essences.

Given that only the souls of tenth-level Beast Gods could be refined into transcendent soul essence, she was understandably meticulous.

"The Beast God I currently possess can aid the transformation of your dominant soul, allowing you to join the ranks of Taishi, Tianqi, and Taixu. Furthermore, this method suits you well. Since the power you've mastered is diverse, you don't need to carve out a specific sacred way to ascend to the Most High."

Kaiya let out a soft chuckle and continued, "Humans from the Everlands seeking to construct a divine seat must pave a direct sacred way, whether it be through ice, flame, or some other element."

"However, by condensing the transcendent soul essence into your primordial spirit, you face no such constraints. You can delve deeper into the practices of the Voodoo Shade, the arcane of reincarnation, the Voodoo Poison's refinement techniques, and the numerous mystiques of the Colddeath."

"How does that sound to you?"

Kaiya finally inquired.

After a moment of contemplation, Xuanli asked, "What would be required of me?"

The essential ingredient for refining transcendent soul essence is the beast soul of a tenth level Beast God. Moreover, at least three tenth level beast souls are required to facilitate his ascension to the highest echelon.

All the necessary materials were in Kaiya's possession, and she was responsible for the refining process. Xuanli was skeptical that Yu Yuan's promise from before would hold any sway.

"It's quite straightforward. Join our Boulderdawn, and you, Xuanli, will ascend to the rank of another God-King within our ranks."
