C1975 Secret Realm of Time
Pantley, Harry, and Ferris from the Oceanfolk took refuge in a place known as the "Secret Realm of Time," a mysterious location situated within a void crack. The Secret Realm of Time, once akin to the Dark Realm, Ashlands, and Wraithlands, was a relatively intact part of the Starry Sky Forbidden Zone, brimming with wonders.
However, the Secret Realm of Time fell prey to the supreme Titan Spinosaurus, which not only ravaged the realm but also absconded with its most vital treasure: the Book of Time. This artifact had once been integral to the realm, slowing the passage of time within and making it vastly different from the real world's temporal flow.
Before the Book of Time was taken, intelligent life could use the Secret Realm of Time to cultivate their strength and harvest cosmic energy, gaining immense power and insight into arcane skills in a relatively brief span. But with the departure of the Book of Time, the realm lost its extraordinary properties and ceased to be magical.
As remembered by the trio, the now fragmented Secret Realm of Time bore a resemblance to the layer beneath the Taishi bronze coffin, where time trickled by at a snail's pace. Yet, that was the extent of its capabilities.
The Secret Realm of Time was no longer conducive to cultivation. Upon entry, one's thoughts, blood circulation, and life force would decelerate. All beings within would enter a hibernation-like state, with their bodily functions significantly slowed.
Within the Secret Realm of Time stood the Spirit Temple, established by an ancient black goat. This black goat possessed a ninth-level bloodline, enabling it to commune with a Beast God from another world. Its counterpart was the tenth-level black goat god of the Wasteland, sharing the same bloodline origin.
The black goat god of the Wasteland was among the rare entities versed in Soul Power, a distinctive creature within the Origin Realm. As no other alien beast had managed to reach the tenth level, the Spirit Temple founded by the ninth-level black goat remained an obscure and little-known power.
The experts of various races did not value it at all.
The Spirit Temple found it nearly impossible to absorb powerful alien beasts with high bloodline levels.
Instead, the Spirit Temple and the black goat selected warriors on the brink of death, such as Pantley, Harry, and Ferris from the Oceanfolk.
Within the Spirit Temple, the passage of time was slower, allowing these individuals to die more gradually than creatures in the outside world.
With the memories of these three, Yu Yuan learned the location of the Secret Realm of Time and how to enter it. He acted swiftly in the heart of the Wraithlands.
His thoughts were instantly conveyed to the Solar Spirit.
The Solar Spirit, stationed at the Abyssal Gate awaiting the jade box, used the Life Keychain to relay the message to Zhong Chichen.
"The Beast Spirit Temple in the Secret Realm of Time, along with the ninth-level black goat, must be connected to the Beast Gods that entered. You possess the Book of Time, making you the perfect candidate to investigate. Don't forget to take Loong Jie with you. Your mission is to demolish the Beast Spirit Temple in the Secret Realm of Time and slay the black goat."
Zhong Chichen responded without hesitation, "I'm on my way!"
With the Book of Time in his possession, Zhong Chichen had a keen interest in the so-called Secret Realm of Time. Despite previous searches that turned up empty, the Book of Time had been stolen by the old spinosaurus and hidden in the Ashlands, only to be later acquired by the Voidweaver. Ultimately, it fell into his hands.
He was eager to uncover the temporal secrets of the mysterious place where the Book of Time was kept.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
The souls of three tenth-level powerhouses burst in the Levi River, transforming into three streams of Soul Power.
During his recent seclusion, Yu Yuan had been focusing on understanding his dominant soul, gradually uncovering the events of his first life.
Memories related to others, as well as many from his earlier cultivation, began to emerge.
Memories involving Pantley, Harry, and Ferris, for instance, came back easily, free from any particular restrictions or prohibitions.
The extreme measures Pantley once took in her entanglement with him suddenly resurfaced in his mind.
Harry and Ferris had encountered two adversaries when they first burst into the Star River from the extraterrestrial realm. Both opponents had fled after being severely wounded by them. Neither was particularly noteworthy.
Yet, some crucial memories lingered deep within the recesses of his dominant soul, seemingly waiting for the soul's transformation to surface.
As he was lost in contemplation, a strand of Mo Baichuan's Lunar Spirit finally coalesced, regaining its sentience. Gazing at the winding Levi River and the surrounding ghosts, Mo Baichuan quickly grasped what had transpired. He was aware that Han Qi, Youyu, and Han Miaoyuan had previously visited this place, albeit in a different manner.
"I'm still dead," lamented Mo Baichuan, now only a ghost, his expression one of despair and resignation. "I ascended to the highest level with the power of blazing fire, yet I was still no match for her."
"To surpass her, you must not just ascend with blazing fire; you need to assimilate it, making the blazing fire an integral part of yourself," advised Yu Yuan.
Mo Baichuan was startled. "Dare I even attempt such a thing?"
"Only by doing so will you have a chance to reach the eleventh level and overcome her," Yu Yuan revealed, sharing a secret Mo Baichuan was not yet privy to. "The blazing fire deep within the Everlands is but a nascent Primal Anima. It's possible for you to refine it and incorporate it into your being."
Upon uttering these words, Yu Yuan, the God of Ghosts presiding over the Wraithlands, sensed the world's disapproval.
Somewhere, or perhaps everywhere, the Primal Vitality seemed enraged by his audacious statement.
"Let's leave it for another time," Yu Yuan decided.
After a cough, a vast, funnel-shaped vortex of souls appeared in the depths of Yu Yuan's eyes.
"This is the Crucible of Rebirth. I can preserve your memories and grant you immediate rebirth. Only I can enable you to reincarnate in your current form. Would you like to live once more?"
"Without a doubt!" Mo Baichuan declared firmly.
"Very well, your soul will randomly manifest in one of the human newborns, but you will retain the knowledge that you are Mo Baichuan. Your arcane practices from this life will gradually emerge after your birth."
"You will embark on the path of cultivation once more, and it will be smoother than in this lifetime. You may also have the chance to encounter the Earthfire again."
"If you seek to uncover more secrets about the Earthfire, about yourself, come find me when you have grown strong enough."
"Just mention that you are Mo Baichuan to the Skyreach Consortium, and they will lead you to me."
"..."
These instructive words crystallized into vivid memory sparkles, branding themselves onto Mo Baichuan's Lunar Spirit.
They became an indelible mark upon him.
Wrapped in the power of the Wraithlands' Undead Lord, Mo Baichuan's Lunar Spirit defied the currents of the Levi River and materialized at its destination.
"Arrange his reincarnation properly; choose an appropriate Astral Domain for him."
Yu Yuan's voice echoed above the Crucible of Rebirth.
"Understood."
A reluctant voice responded as a female Undead Lord targeted Mo Baichuan's Lunar Spirit beneath the Crucible of Rebirth.
...
"Mo Baichuan has perished."
In a floating palace of the Ebon Star, Han Miaoyuan's expression was grave as he observed Cao Jiaze in the opposite palace, who was attempting to ascend to the Most High.
Lin Daoke, Tan Xiaotian, Qin Luo, Zu Ann, and others were all gathered there.
"But his primal essence has not returned to the Everlands!"
The concern in Han Miaoyuan's eyes was evident to all. "The entity deep within the earth, along with the blazing fire, remains unaware of how Mo Baichuan met his end!"
"From this moment forward, those aspiring to become the Most High must not venture beyond the Everlands!"
