C1992 The Glowing Land That Was Rising Continuously
Yu Yuan was taken aback when Yuan Le manifested in the Secret Realm of Time, post-destruction, disrupting his plans unexpectedly.
The Solar Spirit Body, now in the guise of an ape, had transformed into a crystal mountain, suspended from the Abyssal Gate. At this moment, he was pondering whether to refine all the arcane bloodline mysteries associated with the giant beasts and the Spinosaurus. He had already mastered the fundamental rules and the essence of life.
To obtain the complete life sequence of a world, one must gather the vital energy from both the realm containing the Primal Blood and the related species. Only by achieving this can one fully grasp the Secrets of Life and ascend to the eleventh level. The Old Titan Spinosaurus had accomplished this before venturing into the Abyss, during its quest for a new domain.
Moreover, by conquering the Abyss, the Titan Spinosaurus had enhanced its power and that of the Primal Blood through the bloodlines of vanquished Abyssal creatures. During its reign over the cosmos, it appeared that the Old Titan had deciphered the arcane laws within the bloodlines of surviving giant beasts, such as the Secular Bird Queen and the Abyssal Greater Basilisk.
Furthermore, by acquiring the lifeblood of the Lizard and the secular bird, the Titan Spinosaurus could analyze the bloodline chain in relation to the Primal Blood, achieving a convergence of the blood.
What he currently lacked was the lineage of the giant beasts that had once roamed this world, now possibly extinct after clashing with the Old Titan Spinosaurus. His initial plan was to gradually understand and sense this, using his time at the Abyssal Gate to fill these gaps. Thus, he could advance to the eleventh level without the gate shattering.
Yuan Le's arrival thwarted his plan. Lacking the luxury of time to unravel the giant beasts' bloodline secrets, he had to resort to a straightforward approach: assimilate the Secrets of Life imprinted by the Primal Blood within the Solar Spirit in one fell swoop. Like a giant beast consuming its kin, he needed no gradual understanding, just direct absorption.
However, this would inevitably lead to the destruction of the Abyssal Gate.
The Great Demon God Bertain, while evading the Evil God's relentless pursuit, had emerged below to caution him to protect the Abyssal Gate a while longer, urging patience before its inevitable fracture.
The supreme leaders of Shadow's Keep had also made a special trip, expressing their hope that he would continue his guardianship a little longer.
Their goal was to afford the Dark Phoenix Shrine in the Darkpinion more time to foster the emergence of additional Beast Gods.
Had Yuan Le not appeared, he might have been content to wait, especially without the descent of Yuan Le in the Ape's form.
Now, however, he could no longer afford to wait.
He couldn't be certain if Yuan Le's true form had arrived from the Origin Realm, nor if he was lurking somewhere near the Abyssal Gate, biding his time until he moved to another battlefield.
The moment he departed, the Abyssal Gate would be vulnerable to Yuan Le's assault, inadvertently handing him an advantage.
Instead, he decided it was better to preemptively consume it. Regardless of Bertain or the Dark Phoenix, he would shatter the Abyssal Gate first.
"It's settled then!"
With that resolve,
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Clouds of various hues, previously concealed within the Abyssal Gate, began to coalesce around his Solar Spirit, like swallows returning to their nest, eager to merge with his Solar Spirit Body.
Hua!
Beneath the Abyssal Gate, where impenetrable darkness once reigned, a piercing light suddenly broke through.
The brilliance was overwhelming!
Indistinctly, an immensely large tract of land could be seen gently ascending.
Peering through the increasingly translucent Abyssal Gate, Yu Yuan focused his gaze and could make out a majestic palace.
These vast and splendid palaces, built from luminous Hex Stones, sparkled with a captivating brilliance.
The barrier between the two worlds was now being lit by that colossal landmass, allowing Yu Yuan to glimpse into the Abyssal World.
Where there was once only darkness below the Abyssal Gate, the light from the glowing land now chased it away.
"At the highest level of the seven layers of the Abyss, there is but one radiant land, illuminating the six levels below," Yu Yuan contemplated.
He remembered his Lunar Spirit's journey through the Abyss alongside Jihui, vividly recalling the largest landmass he had seen when he looked up from the depths.
At the pinnacle of the Abyss, the land that served as a beacon to the worlds below was said to be the ancestral home of humanity.
Once, the beings of the Abyss referred to them as the Gods, commanding all the Evil Gods from the highest tier of land.
No, that's not right!
A new thought struck Yu Yuan, the idea that the radiant land, with its light bathing the entire Abyss, might hold something more...
Part of the Solar Spirit, resembling a crystal-clear Holy Mountain, suddenly burst forth with an unusual luminescence.
Thus, a spatial passageway connected to the Dragon Slaying Stage was created.
The Solar Spirit had mastered the arcane secrets of the Voidweaver and the Chronowyrm's blood magic through the Dragon Slaying Stage. This Solar Spirit Body could nearly transform into the Dragon Slaying Stage itself when needed.
"Cardo!"
Within the no-longer-existent Secret Realm of Time, Yu Yuan stood atop the Dragon Slaying Stage and gestured to Cardo, "Please come over here by yourself."
Meanwhile, Yuan Le was getting accustomed to the Ape's form while purifying the Heaven-Shattering Hammer with his blood magic.
He wasn't rushing to deliver the final blow.
"Me?"
The Dawnbringers' matriarch, who had been restraining Taishi and Reid with the Light Scepter, was taken aback when Yu Yuan unexpectedly beckoned her.
Cardo was bewildered.
"Go ahead."
Taishi willingly stepped away from the Light Scepter, resembling a vessel of light. He even tugged Reid along and propelled the Light Scepter with his divine force, sending Cardo to the Dragon Slaying Stage.
Cardo, together with the Light Scepter, vanished from the Dragon Slaying Stage.
When she reappeared, Cardo found herself at the Abyssal Gate, near the enigmatic crystal mountain formed by Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit. She looked down to see a dazzling land slowly ascending from the dark abyss.
Whoosh!
The Light Scepter contracted sharply, fitting snugly in her grasp. Her delicate frame shook uncontrollably.
Her hand and the scepter quivered as they pointed towards the increasingly luminous Abyssal Gate, fixating on the land rising ever brighter, "It's, it's, it's... inside!"
Cardo's words tumbled out in a frenzy, "The King of the Wasteland and that black goat have deceived me! The Light Spirit is not in the Wasteland at all—it's beneath that land right there!"
She was absolutely certain of it!
Even though she was separated by the Abyssal Gate, unable to feel the light from the land below or see it clearly, her conviction did not waver.
As the most powerful among the Dawnbringers in this world, the individual closest to the Way of Heaven's Light, she instantly knew that the legendary Light Spirit was indeed beneath the land.
There could be no mistake!
If the Light Spirit was below, and that place was the Abyss, then Yuan Le and the black goat were deceiving her.
They intended to entice her to refine a portion of life dew, to forge a Life Keychain and gain immortality. Subsequently, she would become bound to Yuan Le, compelled to follow his commands.
Once the Life Keychain was complete, her thoughts and spiritual wisdom might be corrupted and warped by Cardo.
At that point, she would no longer be herself, but rather a pawn of the Wasteland, an essential piece in Yuan Le's strategic game, leading his charge into battle.
Cardo broke into a cold sweat, gripping the Light Scepter as she naturally gravitated downward.
It seemed she wished to draw nearer to the ascending land, to get as close as possible.
Ideally, she would cross the Abyssal Gate to reach and touch the land below.
"Just as I suspected."
Yu Yuan's voice emanated from the Solar Spirit Body, which had reverted to human form. He paused his absorption of the arcane bloodline mysteries of the giant beasts.
Like Cardo, he gazed with curiosity at the land that continued to rise, seemingly pushing against the Abyssal Gate.
The higher it rose, the clearer it became, as it approached the gate.
He was about to glimpse the true essence of this world.
"Is that—?"
Cardo gasped in astonishment, her bloodline resonating mysteriously with the light source below. Empowered by the Light Scepter, she seemed to see even clearer than Yu Yuan.
She spotted a figure standing with arms folded on the vast, luminous land.
It was the familiar Jihui!
Jihui, who had long associated with the Demon Lord Tan Xiaotian and had fallen into the Abyss, now stood on that wondrous land, seemingly smiling directly at her.
At that moment, a consciousness crossed through the Abyssal Gate and manifested within Cardo's being. This consciousness was not Jihui's, but rather it lay hidden deep within the land, the very Light Spirit that Cardo had longed for in her dreams, the one she yearned to draw near.
The Light Spirit reached out to her with an olive branch, signaling its goodwill. It then expressed its desire for her to shatter the Abyssal Gate, to release this tract of land from the Abyss and into the Origin Realm. It spoke of this act as a return... to home.
Cardo, with her doll-like appearance, was torn. Doubts swirled in her mind, and she instinctively turned her gaze to Yu Yuan.
"Stop, do not set foot on the Abyssal Gate. If you do, the gate will consume all the vital energy in your body," Yu Yuan cautioned her.
As a pinnacle warrior of the Otherkin, Cardo's body also harbored extraordinary vital energy, and she too would be constrained by the Abyssal Gate. Stepping onto it would surely have consequences.
"Yu Yuan," Cardo said, her eyes filled with regret, clearly not eager to descend.
Instead, she directed the tip of her Light Scepter toward the vibrant Abyssal Gate.
"I'm sorry, it's only after truly feeling its presence that I understood. It seems I've been waiting for it since birth, seeking its approval," Cardo spoke softly, her voice laced with apology.
Yu Yuan's expression darkened as he asked sternly, "What are you planning to do?"
"If it's destined to be shattered, then let this gate be shattered. I'm ready to welcome its return; it's long overdue for homecoming," Cardo murmured.
"Return home? Who?" Yu Yuan exclaimed.
With that cry, Yu Yuan finally saw the figure on the land that was striving to rise, drawing ever closer to the Abyssal Gate—a figure he recognized.
"Jihui! Are you welcoming his return home?" Yu Yuan bellowed in anger.
The Jihui below was not the departed soul, but rather the flesh and blood form Jihui had forged in the Abyss. This was a human form, housing a primal force within, still consuming the Abyss's chaotic and ferocious energy, growing more formidable by the moment.
The Jihui below seemed exponentially more powerful than before to Yu Yuan.
Additionally, in the vicinity of Jihui, there were neither Evil Gods nor formidable creatures from the Abyss. Rather, a group of young men and women from the human race gathered around him, visibly tense and apprehensive.
They appeared to be absorbing his teachings, yearning for the life above the clouds, and eager to explore the vast expanse of the Everlands.
