C1995 Unable to Hide It(1)

"You, you both?"

The Sky Fiend High Priest, Reid, pointed at Yu Yuan and Taishi, at a loss for words.

In that moment, he was no longer concerned with the battle between Yu Yuan and Yuan Le. His disheveled demeanor made it clear he was unaware that the human race, born in the Everlands, actually originated from the Abyss.

This raised the question: was there still a point in continuing with Project New Everlands, spearheaded by the Boulderdawn Sect and driven by Bertain?

Lord Bertain had ventured into the Abyss and had since vanished without a trace. Could he have fallen victim to foul play?

Was Yu Yuan involved?

Reid was suddenly unable to discern right from wrong. Observing Yu Yuan's real body and the equally bewildered Taishi, he found the situation utterly preposterous.

"Whom should I trust?"

Taishi whispered to himself, his gaze shifting between Jihui and Yu Yuan, unable to settle.

He was indecisive.

Jihui had presented undeniable evidence that the human race originated from the Abyss, revealing intentions to let the Abyss encroach upon this realm and claim it.

Yu Yuan, on the other hand, had always guarded the Abyssal Gate, only recently forced to shatter it.

Whom should he support?

"Listen to me."

Yu Yuan, engaged in battle with the Solar Spirit, addressed the Boulderdawn titan, "Let's proceed as we did before."

Taishi responded with a hint of bitterness, "The truth cannot stay hidden."

"Then there's no need to conceal it," Yu Yuan replied with a gentle nod. "I had planned to venture into the heart of the Everlands to seek clarity. Once I had made sense of it, I intended to share the findings with you all."

"But Jihui has forced the truth out prematurely. Still, I believe there must have been sound reasons for my past efforts to forge the New Everlands and to carve out another sanctuary beyond our skies."

"I will uncover the answer," Yu Yuan stated with conviction.

"Very well, then."

Taishi had long been accustomed to heeding Yu Yuan's guidance on matters of direction, and this occasion was no different. "As before, I'll follow your lead."

Yu Yuan felt a surge of emotion, though he wasn't surprised.

He was confident that Taishi, like Youyu, would always stand by him, trusting in his judgement and decisions.

"Your Excellency, it's time for you to head to the New Everlands."

Jihui bowed respectfully to Yu Yuan from the ground below and offered a smile. "Perhaps, you'll only be able to make your decision after the Everlands have shattered and you've truly seen it."

His smile remained as he turned his gaze to Taishi. "Do you see? This world that exists within the Abyss, standing at its peak, is the preparation I've made."

"All those who migrate from the Everlands, whether mortals or cultivators, as long as they are human, I welcome them here."

"It's more expansive than the Everlands, better suited for humans born in the Abyss. Isn't it superior to Tyria in the Ashlands?"

"Of course," Jihui continued, shifting the conversation. "It's not unsuitable for our human race to spread out in Tyria of the Ashlands. After all, we are one and the same. Watching the human race flourish in the Origin Realm, establishing a solid foundation across its vast starry skies, as a member of this most powerful race, I share in the glory."

Regarding the Evil Gods of the Abyss, Jihui paused briefly before adding, "When we humans ruled the Abyss, all Evil Gods were merely servants to our race, and it will be so in the future." His voice brimmed with pride.

In Jihui's view, the so-called Evil Gods of the Abyss would always exist to serve them. It was true in the past and would remain true in the future, even after the Abyssal Gate had shattered!

The Evil Gods, emerging from the Abyss into this world known as the Origin Realm, would only prey upon the Dawnbringers, the Starborn, the Shura, and the Shadowkin, never daring to oppose humanity—the true masters of the Abyss.

Suddenly, behind Jihui, a resplendent Origin Gate materialized. The Origin Gate that Arthurs had crafted with the power of the Evil Temple had crumbled, and this new Origin Gate that Jihui had conjured was merely a portal in space.

In the next instant, a figure emerged from it—The Demon Lord, Tan Xiaotian.

"Today, I've honored the promise I made to you," Jihui declared, standing before the gate. He addressed Tan Xiaotian, who had arrived from the now vanished wall with the aid of his soul. "Below lies the Abyss, with its seven layers. You've long been aware of this. You should be able to sense the location of the Dark Anima. Whether you can ascend to become the Dark Overlord, however, will depend on your own prowess."

"Oh, and one more thing."

Jihui slapped his forehead and said, "In the Abyss, the Darklords loyal to you have been eagerly awaiting your arrival, hoping to meet you in person."

"You're a man of your word," Tan Xiaotian said with a smile.

He looked up to see Taishi, Yu Yuan's real body, and High Priest Reid. Surprised, he remarked, "It's quite bustling here."

After a brief pause, he frowned and exclaimed in shock, "Why is she here?"

Cardo, the patriarch of the Dawnbringers and Tan Xiaotian's old adversary, was at this corner of the land, receiving the inheritance of light magic.

The Light Spirit was right beneath his feet!

Tan Xiaotian was startled and immediately levitated off the ground.

It was as if the most terrifying demon in the world lay beneath him, ready to ensnare and drag him down to the depths like a beacon of light. "Jihui, what's this about? You never mentioned that the Light Spirit was in the Abyss too!"

Jihui shrugged. "You never asked."

At that, Tan Xiaotian nearly exploded with frustration, "Damn it! What in the world is going on?"

"Just focus on what you need to do. Don't concern yourself with the rest. When it's time for you to know, you'll know," Jihui said coolly, showing no reverence for either Demon Lord Tan Xiaotian or Taishi.

The only exception was Yu Yuan.

The Demon Lord huffed and scanned the surroundings, noticing a pulse of vital energy emanating from deep within a blood cloud that made even him feel a sense of dread.

"What is that?" he asked again.

"The eleventh-level Yu Yuan, the Solar Spirit, is battling a king of the same level from the Wasteland," Jihui replied indifferently. "Mr. Tan, heed my advice. Until you find the Dark Anima and ascend to the eleventh level, refrain from engaging in battles of this caliber."

The Demon Lord paused for a moment, then without a backward glance, he plunged into the dark abyss below.

...

"Do you have too much time on your hands?"

In the deep crimson world, Yuan Le stood shoulder to shoulder with his blood shadow, wielding the Heaven-Shattering Hammer.

The Dark Tower beneath him gradually expanded, its structure woven from peculiar black iron material, reminiscent of the skeletal framework of some colossal beast. Within it, a light pulsed and flowed like lifeblood.

With a sly grin, his blood shadow then dissolved into the Dark Tower.
