C2042 Small Details
The Evil Statue, crafted from the materials of Sword Prison, possessed both intelligence and spirit. Yet, because it hailed from the Abyss, much like Arthurs, it chose to remain hidden.
In previous encounters with Yu Yuan, it would often make exceptions, revealing its more amiable nature.
Now, it knelt before Yu Yuan's Demonic Vessel in the body of a stone statue it had refined, a gesture of devout humility.
It addressed Yu Yuan not as Lord Taiyin or Dragon Slayer, but as the revered Lord of the Abyss.
It appeared to have been awaiting Yu Yuan's return for millennia.
It, along with its kin from the Abyss, seemed to be eagerly anticipating Yu Yuan's awakening, ready to bestow the supreme glory of the Abyss, Origin Realm, and even the Wasteland upon Yu Yuan's ascension as Lord of the Abyss.
Its veneration for Yu Yuan surpassed even Jihui's in its extravagance and devotion.
This act of kneeling sent waves of despair through the non-human creatures.
Could it be that Yu Yuan was truly destined to descend into the Abyss?
Boom!
Suddenly, the Time Gate began to tremble, casting forth streams of light.
A force from within battered against the temporal barriers, striving to break through and manifest on Tyria.
Yu Yuan's Demonic Vessel watched the Time Gate's anomaly, its eyes pooling with a deep glow.
Whoosh!
In a flash, Youyu, the God of Ghosts, arrived on Tyria. He observed the peculiar Time Gate and detected the scent of the Wraithlands, declaring, "Yu Yuan, the creator of the Wraithlands, seeks entry into the Ashlands."
"Perhaps the one from the Dark Star Region as well," Ann Ziqing interjected.
The Divine Lady of the Colddeath Cult, with her unique physical form, perceived a powerful surge of vital energy within the Time Gate's assault – the Primal Blood that endowed Yu Yuan with a complete life sequence.
The Primal Vitality from the Wraithlands and the Primal Blood from the Dark Star Region had also felt the tremors of the Ashlands, attempting to extend their influence.
Hamm, the Evil God from the Abyss, whom Jihui had referred to, abruptly rose from his kneeling posture.
"Please forgive me."
A stream of green-black essence wafted in, instantly infusing the statue and turning it a dark hue.
The Evil Statue had undergone a radical transformation, as though it had been infused with boundless malevolent power. The deep sword scars, etched into the statue by Nie Qingtian, sprang to life as the green-black essence seeped into them, writhing like serpentine patterns.
These scars morphed into manifestations of the cosmic order of the Everlands, becoming streaks of dark green lightning.
A thick green-black mist billowed from within the Evil Statue, carrying with it the wild and tumultuous aura of the Abyss, and it gradually enveloped the Time Gate. The rich energy of Tyria, upon contact with the green-black cloud, was swiftly transformed.
The ground of Tyria trembled, and the resplendent walls that encircled it were tainted by the Will of Everlands, as if corroded by its overwhelming presence. It was as though an unseen, mysterious force was manipulating and twisting the rules.
The inhabitants of Tyria, along with those observing the celestial anomalies, were struck by a sudden realization. The Primal Animas had all stirred from their slumber and were now clashing in the Ashlands! The Everlands, which had been dormant for so long without the spark of flames to ignite it, began its slow approach towards Tyria.
With the movement of the Everlands, all eyes were instinctively drawn to it. Zu Ann, Qin Luo, Han Miaoyuan, Han Qi, and other exalted humans from the Everlands descended above it. Only Lin Daoke stood with empty hands atop the floating Sword Cave. Yet, as the Sword Cave followed the Everlands' approach to Tyria, Lin Daoke, a human with a primordial spirit, could not defy the Will of Everlands and had no choice but to comply.
As the Everlands drew nearer, the thick Abyssal power continued to disperse outward. "Cao Jiaze" had been silent since its appearance in the Moonfall Sanctuary. Han Miaoyuan, Zu Ann, Qin Luo, and even the wise Jihui seemed unable to engage in direct dialogue with it. It communicated solely through the transmission of thoughts and consciousness, and its directives, made manifest through its origin, were immediately known to the exalted beings. They, including Han Miaoyuan, had no option but to listen and obey without question.
It was beyond question, defiance, or wild speculation.
Han Miaoyuan and the others' thoughts and intentions were known to it through the origin.
It was the hub of the Way of Heaven, the wellspring of all living souls.
Behind it, Han Miaoyuan, who dared to gaze upon it, began to feel a growing sense of shock and bewilderment.
Han Miaoyuan had picked up on a subtle detail.
The green-black eyes of the entity inhabiting Cao Jiaze looked upon everything with extreme indifference.
Yet, when gazing upon Yu Yuan's body on the Dragon Slaying Stage, its demeanor changed, becoming peculiar.
It was then that a strange luminescence appeared.
This glow seemed to be filled with reminiscence, sentiment, longing, and a mix of dissatisfaction and questioning.
Clearly, it was only in its dealings with Yu Yuan that it differed; nothing else could stir it or cause a ripple of reaction.
Han Miaoyuan came to the realization that Jihui must be keeping significant secrets from him, such as the Evil Statue, the Evil God named Hamm, and the fact that he always referred to Yu Yuan as the Lord of the Abyss.
Suddenly, Han Miaoyuan saw it, through Cao Jiaze's eyes, fix its gaze upon the Lizard.
The cosmic giant beast, which had remained neutral while with the Abyssal Leviathan and the little spinosaurus, locked eyes with it.
A soul-piercing light emanated from it, reaching the Lizard's body as if igniting something within.
The Lizard emitted a low growl.
In an instant, the Lizard, who had taken the form of an elder from the Silverscale Tribe, reverted to its primordial giant beast form. Within its heart, green-black lightning was slowly being refined.
The power of the Abyss burst forth from the Lizard's heart, causing its scales to seem as though they had opened.
Thus, the cosmic energy from the Ashlands flowed into his body through the crevices of his scales.
The Abyssal Greater Basilisk, having once touched the power of the Abyss and pondered its profound truths, retained related imprints in its heart.
These imprints, once awakened and amplified by it, allowed the Lizard to begin absorbing the power of the Ashlands. Like the Everlands, it transformed into the essence of the Abyss, altering its flesh, blood, bones, and beast soul in the process.
The Lizard was evolving into a form far more suited to the Abyss.
Through such a metamorphosis, the Abyssal Greater Basilisk would become a true creature of the Abyss, as its name foretold.
The transformation of the Lizard had a profound impact on all members of the Silverscale Tribe. When Jessica, a Mighty with tenth level bloodline, gazed upon the Everlands once more, she found it remarkably appealing.
It appeared as though the Silverscale Tribe had formed a bloodline bond with the Everlands.
With a whoosh, Yu Yiyi emerged from the little world within the Crucible of Evil. Grasping the cauldron, she descended upon the main planet of Tyria.
Within the cauldron, the God-Kings of Boulderdawn continued their integration with the Origin.
Yu Yiyi had ascended to the status of a Demon God and had acquired a portion of the Origin. Her mind was inundated with memories, and the Origin that had merged with her seemed to dictate her every action, guiding her on what she should do next.
Thus, she arrived at Tyria and approached the Time Gate.
