C2067 The Creation of a God
"Let me be clear, I'm not doing this for you; I just can't stand them," Tan Xiaotian hastily clarified, fearing that any future rumors could tarnish his lifelong reputation.
Yu Yuan remained noncommittal.
Above him, a crimson star crossed the boundary of the sky, showering down endless blood light.
This blood light coalesced into a massive Wheel of Life behind Yu Yuan's head, casting its glow upon the dim Star River. A boundless surge of vital energy emanated from the Wheel of Life.
A sudden pull of suction emerged from the Wheel of Life, targeting every living being in the vicinity!
The Beast Gods, perched upon the stars and previously assaulting Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit, sensed the shift and quickly retracted their forces.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The onslaught meant to strike and pierce Yu Yuan's body was instead drawn into the Wheel of Life.
In that brief moment, Yu Yuan harvested an immense amount of blood energy, sufficient to refine a portion of life dew.
This arcane technique of life-draining was within his capabilities as an eleventh-level Solar Spirit, and so too could Yuan Le, who stood atop the mountain's summit, yet to take significant action.
The Beast Gods of the Wasteland, familiar with such forces, knew better than to persist and risk a loss, promptly ceasing their aggression.
Still, Yu Yuan managed to siphon a considerable amount of their vital energy.
Crack! Crack!
His eleventh-level Solar Spirit form began to sprout a natural crystal armor, adorned with swathes of blood traces that embodied the Bloodline Revelation of the Origin Realm's living creatures.
Illuminated by the Wheel of Life's radiance, the blood traces solidified, resembling mighty living beings.
The formidable creatures of yore, once vanished in the River of Time and born of the Origin Realm, seemed to find new life within Yu Yuan's colossal form.
A myriad of spectral images flickered in his mind, taking root within his very flesh.
Cosmic giant beasts, Dawnbringers, Shura, Shadowkin, members of the Silverscale Tribe, and beings from long-extinct tribes like the Water and Spiritual Demon Tribes—all were resurrected in an instant by his power.
These life forms, some enduring through the ages, others fleeting as daylilies, now thrived with a renewed essence of their Bloodline Revelation.
The principles and laws they had discerned were transformed into eternal tattoos and spells that could not be erased. These markings, like armor arrays, enveloped Yu Yuan's body, endowing him with boundless divine power.
"Wasteland!"
In Yu Yuan's eyes, a look of astonishment emerged as he beheld the Ape. Clutching the Heaven-Shattering Hammer and stepping forth from a mountain encircled by stars, the Ape exuded a fierce aura that warped the void, creating a violent storm of vital energy that even the Demon Lord Tan Xiaotian found stirring.
"After being oppressed by the Dark Phoenix for so many years, he has finally risen proudly with the aid of the Wasteland's power."
Tan Xiaotian silently acknowledged this.
Back in the Everlands, the Ape, who had clashed with the Dark Phoenix, could only seek refuge in the depths of the Marsh to fend off the Dark Phoenix's plundering of vital energy.
Before Tan Xiaotian ascended to the helm of the Devil Palace, he had been graced with the Ape's favor. Thus, after Tan Xiaotian rose to prominence, he lent his support in the covert and overt conflicts between the Ape and Zhiya.
He was quite aware of the Ape's combat prowess.
"Don't stand in my way."
Yu Yuan's violet gold blade, extending infinitely, noticed the Ape bursting forth from the Marsh, and his expression grew stern.
After a moment's hesitation, he maneuvered the Dragon Slaying Stage's violet gold blade to pass by the side of the massive Ape Demon, deliberately avoiding a lethal blow.
"Yu Yuan! I wish to witness your actual power!"
The Untamed bellowed in fury.
He was ready for battle, but when the blade of the Dragon Slaying Stage shifted its trajectory, his anger became genuine. "Do not assume that I will not demonstrate my full strength simply because I have not reached the eleventh level! Yu Yuan, are you mocking and insulting me?"
His giant ape form climbed higher and higher.
Dense storms of blood energy, spurred by his rapid growth, siphoned off some of the mountain's power from behind him.
"Are you seeking death?"
Boom! Boom!
Yu Yuan's brow furrowed as he gazed at the Ape wielding the Heaven-Shattering Hammer with deep, blood-red eyes.
Yu Yuan focused on his chest.
Within the Ape's chest, a heart teeming with vital energy housed the Life Keychain, a network of delicate bloodline chains that concealed the secrets of the laws. Yu Yuan understood all of it with just one glance.
To him, the Ape appeared as if he were made of glass, utterly devoid of any bloodline secrets.
"Step aside."
Yu Yuan's hand, not gripping the Dragon Slaying Stage, transformed into a blood-red mountain range that spanned billions of miles, striking at the Ape who had completely sided with Yuan Le.
As his arm descended, massive orbs of blood-red light plummeted from the Crimson Realm.
The Ape looked up to see endless layers of blood-red drapes cascading down. The presence of these curtains seemed to stretch the distance between him and Yu Yuan into infinity.
To Yu Yuan, it seemed as though the Ape's form was diminishing.
Hidden within those blood-red drapes, cosmic giant beasts, long extinct, emerged and growled, gnawing at his flesh.
The Ape's skin tore apart, and he was in such agony that he longed for death.
His remarkable healing abilities and the Life Keychain within him were now rendered ineffective, suppressed by a higher rule.
He plummeted abruptly.
To the Beast Gods and Demon Lord Tan Xiaotian, the Ape wielding the Heaven-Shattering Hammer, struck by rings of blood-red light, was suddenly cast into the chasm below.
"There's a natural antithesis at play here," Tan Xiaotian mused silently. He recognized that the Ape from Godsblight Marsh had been endowed with additional power by Yuan Le because they shared the same lineage.
Yuan Le had once possessed him, demonstrating his might through the Ape's Dark Deity Body and leaving behind fragments of the Secrets of Life.
Yet, the Ape was not the chosen one of the Wasteland's Primal Blood and had not secured a complete life sequence. His strength surpassed that of many Beast Gods, but it did not mean he had ascended to the eleventh level.
How could the Ape hope to triumph against Yu Yuan, especially now that Yu Yuan was fully backed by the Primal Blood?
Tan Xiaotian wasn't surprised in the least.
"You may fight on behalf of Yuan Le, but you must also value your life. Yu Yuan might not wish to kill you outright, but by his side, there exists an impassive force."
Tan Xiaotian's remnant soul followed the Ape's descent, detonating in the profound depths below.
He was aware that the Ape could hear him.
"You little rascal, you're just as headstrong as I was in my younger days," Yuan Le said with a carefree laugh.
He addressed the venerable Ape as "little rascal," a liberty he could afford to take since he was the Lord of Ruin, the mightiest chieftain of the Ape's tribe.
Moreover, he had attained eternal life long ago.
Yuan Le saw in the old Ape a reflection of his former self, someone who favored brute force over cunning in his youth.
In Yuan Le's view, the old Ape, despite having lived in the Everlands for an extensive period, still seemed quite naive due to his limited experiences and narrow perspective.
"Yu Yuan, we've pulled out all the stops this time. Even it has joined us. You're certainly no match for what's coming," Yuan Le declared with a smile.
The Beast God Temple behind him radiated an enigmatic glow, seemingly in harmony with the mountain, channeling some mysterious force.
Crack!
The mountain vibrated abruptly, and a small stone broke off and tumbled down.
This tiny stone, bathed in the thick vital energy swirling around the mountain, began to swell at an astonishing rate.
It voraciously absorbed the cosmic energy previously engulfed by the mountain, its core marked with unique patterns, sparking a dazzling and bewildering transformation.
In this desolate and void Astral Domain, the small stone, once part of the mountain, swiftly grew into a star!
The scale of this new star was on par with that of the Zekrica in the Annihilation Nebula.
Moreover, it was teeming with life and abundant vital energy, with hidden rules woven within.
Many Beast Gods watched its emergence with eyes filled with envy and desire.
The mountain, enriched with Primal Blood and now in the Origin Realm, had gained the power to create stars by consuming the boundless energy of various Astral Domains.
Once the mountain had forged a fresh star, it seemed to integrate this celestial body into the fabric of the Wasteland.
Boom!
The Beast God Temple behind Yuan Le trembled subtly, as if giving birth to something new.
"Hehe," Yuan Le beamed with a radiant smile.
Moments later, Sanha, who had been slain by Green Willow, emerged from the Beast God Temple.
With an icy demeanor, she swiftly descended upon the nascent stars. The immense white boa coiled its form and turned its head toward Yuan Le, expressing gratitude, "Your Majesty, thank you for granting me new life."
"Those who remain loyal to me shall never perish, for they may be resurrected without end."
Yuan Le offered a faint smile.
"Green Willow! It was the Everlands' Green Willow who took my life. I beseech you, my King, to seek vengeance on my behalf!" Sanha cried out.
"Without question!"
The black goat, now transformed into a striking woman clad in black, replied, "Green Willow's name is etched in my memory. His demise is imminent. Such a vile and contemptible creature will surely face retribution."
*Crack! Crack! Crack!*
Stones continued to break away from the mountain, each one absorbing the thick vital energy and swelling into new stars at a rate visible to the naked eye.
With the emergence of each star, a Beast God who had battled in the Origin Realm and left behind a single drop of life essence in the Beast God Temple was resurrected by Yuan Le.
These revived Beast Gods retained their tenth-level bloodlines and their memories intact.
Their return seemed tied to this mountain in the Origin Realm, situated within various Astral Domains. Like the Maw of Oblivion, they consumed cosmic energy, with the mountain's power forging the Beast God Temple.
This represented a different mode of territorial expansion.
Consider the mightiest humans of the Everlands, active across the Origin Realm's Astral Domains, pondering and deriving the cosmic order, imprinting it into the Heart of the Everlands to refine even more primal essence.
The Wasteland's approach was more radical.
By turning each Astral Domain of the Origin Realm into a desolate void to harvest energy, it shattered the Wasteland's divine creation limits, giving rise to more Beast Gods.
The deceased Beast Gods could be resurrected through the blood seeds they left behind. Now, even the ninth-level beast kings possessed new powers to forge a tenth-level bloodline.
It seemed that with each additional star, another Beast God could emerge.
At this moment, the stars encircling the mountain stood as the Supreme God of the Everlands.
