C2073 I Was Forced to Use the Primal Vitality
Yuan Le's real body was right there, which brought Yu Yuan a sense of relief and lessened his worries.
If he could use a single Solar Spirit to draw the attention of the invading Beast Gods from the Wasteland, he would grant the inhabitants of the Origin Realm a brief respite of peace. The implications of such an act were profound.
Yet, should his Solar Spirit be defeated here, unable to restrain the multitude of Beast Gods, and Yuan Le's real body managed to accomplish a certain objective, Yu Yuan's intrusion would turn disastrous.
With no intention to conceal his thoughts, Yu Yuan directly addressed Yuan Le, "Where are you?"
"I knew you'd see right through it once you got inside."
Perched on Sekou's shoulder, Yuan Le surveyed the world below as if from atop an immeasurable, thick city wall, exuding an imperious air that seemed to command all creation.
"What good does seeing through it do? You're already here," Yuan Le retorted with a raised eyebrow and a nonchalant tone. "With Sekou here, this mountain, and these Beast Gods under my command, your Solar Spirit can't escape. Besides you, Bertain, who is also of the eleventh level, is ensnared deep within the Ashlands."
"Without your Solar Spirit, without the Demon God Bertain, no one in the Origin Realm can stand in my way."
In the palm of Yuan Le's Blood Clone, a miniature Dark Tower materialized, emanating spatial ripples.
"My real body, active on the outside, can instantly return using the Dark Tower. Likewise, the Beast Gods can depart with the Dark Tower's aid, accompanying my real body as it roams freely across the Origin Realm."
"You'll be trapped and eventually worn down, while I remain unfettered, capable of traversing the Origin Realm, doing as I please."
Yuan Le spoke bluntly, "To confront you, I can't choose a battlefield that you're familiar with, one that would amplify your strength. Places like the Ashlands or the Dark Star would only empower your Solar Spirit."
"Therefore, we can select any Astral Domain we wish. If we act drastically enough, threatening to destroy the Origin Realm, you and the force that created you will inevitably be compelled to intervene."
Yuan Le, the Lord of Ruin, was cunning and strategic, not the type of leader to rely solely on brute force.
"The deaths of Cardo and Taishi were designed to enrage you, to bait you into our trap."
"The woman from the Dawnbringers failed to deceive you and drive you to madness, so we brought in Taishi. If even Taishi's grave injuries can't lure you, others will be drawn in."
"In short, if your Solar Spirit does not step in, those you care about will continue to be pulled into this conflict."
Yuan Le laid out his strategy.
As Yu Yuan's vast Solar Spirit spoke, it was encircled by the numerous stars under the dominion of the Beast God.
The once invisible chains began to take on substance, transforming into a kaleidoscope of colors, resembling thick, twisting rainbows that enveloped Yu Yuan.
Countless rainbows swirled around him, turning Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit Body into what seemed like an immense, radiant cocoon.
Yu Yuan's arms, shoulders, waist, legs, and even his neck were entwined by these thick, rainbow-like strands.
And they tightened more and more, constricting his bloodline power and making his chest feel oppressively heavy.
"You and I are adversaries, fated to be enemies. My primary goal in entering the Origin Realm is to merge with its Primal Blood. And since you are the manifestation of its will, its chosen spokesperson, how could I possibly tolerate your presence?"
"Yu Yuan, do you ever regret acting so rashly?"
Yuan Le's Blood Clone continued to speak as the other Beast Gods maintained their silence.
Below the mountain, the black goat, Death Viper, and smilodon, the four Beast Gods endowed with the Life Keychain and thus immortal, did not join in the fray or impose any restrictions on Yu Yuan like their counterparts.
The four mighty Beast Gods stood their ground, with the Direbear Sekou exerting his force, severely limiting Yu Yuan's movements.
Sekou, in particular, was in sync with the Earth Spirit concealed within the mountain beneath him. The Earth Spirit's transcendent will began to permeate Sekou's form, initiating its descent.
Sekou willingly relinquished control of his bear body, allowing the Earth Spirit's will to descend unimpeded, channeling the Primal Anima's rightful power through him.
Sekou harbored deep emotions for the Earth Spirit and would never betray its intentions.
He also understood that to annihilate Yu Yuan's eleventh-level Solar Spirit, he would need to release his physical form and allow the Earth Spirit to inhabit his body, in addition to harnessing the power of the Beast Gods.
Slowly, a certain detachment emerged in the depths of Sekou's eyes.
This detachment was characteristic of the extraordinary beings known as Primal Anima.
Lacking physical bodies and desires, they viewed the world, its inhabitants, and all things as mere instruments operating under the rules they had established.
Yu Yuan recognized this detachment and realized that Sekou could now be regarded as an embodiment of the Earth Spirit.
Boom!
A mountain of staggering proportions unleashed boundless gravity at its base.
Constrained by "rainbow" chains, Yu Yuan felt the force of gravity multiply a thousandfold.
Struggling to maintain his position in the air, he began to sink, descending toward the dark expanse of the Star River below.
As he fell, the surrounding stars, manipulated by the Beast Gods, descended alongside him, steadfastly accompanying him.
The mountain, meanwhile, advanced and loomed over his Solar Spirit.
As the mountain bore down, it seemed to garner the support of the numerous worlds within the Wasteland, creating an unimaginable weight that rendered Yu Yuan's Solar Spirit completely immobile.
The rainbow-like chains persisted in their pull, the mountain above pressed down, and Yu Yuan's eleventh-level Solar Spirit, under the dual forces of pressure and entanglement, radiated an endless glow as it valiantly resisted.
...
Ashlands.
The Everlands trembled fiercely, igniting once more into a towering inferno, resembling a fiery orb ablaze.
The flames devoured the entirety of the Everlands, obscuring the Evil Temple on the Aetherius Continent from view.
The stage of the fierce conflict between the Great Demon God Bertain and the host of Evil Gods remained unknown.
What was known to all was that Bertain's return prompted the Primal Souls, having departed the minds of Tan Xiaotian, Lin Daoke, Taishi, Xuanli, Tianqi, Taixu, and others, to regain their self-awareness. These souls delved into the depths of the earth to engage in battle with the Primal Souls spawned within the Abyss.
The Primal Soul of the Abyss, bolstered by the support of the Blazing Flame, still held dominion over the Heart of the Everlands. The battle raged on, obscured by the overwhelming flames, leaving everyone unable to discern the unfolding events.
Elsewhere, the Secular Bird Queen and the Dark Phoenix, Zhiya, clashed in a fierce battle that spanned from the Ashlands to the far reaches of the extraterrestrial. The Shadowkin and Wingkind warriors, along with the Uxthar Tree, abstained from this conflict. Likewise, the Phoenix Shrine that Zhiya had erected, along with the Beast Gods and Dark Deities that stood before it, did not partake in the battle.
The secular bird and the Dark Phoenix appeared to share an unspoken agreement. Their war, a destiny entwined struggle, had persisted for over a hundred thousand years, and today was the day a victor would be determined. Aside from Yu Yuan, who was closely monitoring the fight, only their respective followers were invested in the outcome.
"Taishi has vanished into thin air," Taixu announced, his voice tinged with anxiety, having regained consciousness with the departure of the Primal Blood's will.
Zhong Chichen, Loong Jie, and the others only sensed that something was amiss after Taixu's alert. Where could Taishi have gone? They exchanged puzzled glances.
"He was summoned away by a bear," Yu Yuan answered.
He was in the midst of constructing the Soul Altar and the Demonic Vessel, which was on the verge of evolving into the Undead Lord. Both had lost their connection to the Solar Spirit abruptly. This happened after the Solar Spirit, reacting to Taishi's grave injuries, resolutely headed for the mountains.
Yu Yuan was at a loss, unaware of what had transpired or why, upon entering the mountain, the two bodies could no longer detect the Solar Spirit's movements. He was also oblivious to the fact that the Solar Spirit had encountered Yuan Le, who was not his real body, in a separate realm encircling the mountain.
The third tier of the "Soul Altar," aligned with the red crystal platform of this realm, was complete. The topmost emerald table would naturally finish its forging as his memories gradually emerged. The radiant white platform awaited the Demonic Vessel, which needed to be endowed with the full authority and profound meaning of the Primal Vitality to take form.
The Primal Vitality from the Wraithlands had already departed from Youyu's body and entered the ancient tree. The Primal Blood's will, which had entered the bodies of the Abyssal Leviathan, Taixu, and Ann Ziqing, had left in accordance with the pact they had made with him, sparing them from exhausting their life's potential.
"My Solar Spirit Body lost its spiritual connection with me after it descended onto a mountain in the Wasteland."
Yu Yuan's Demonic Vessel gazed upon the ancient vine tree, sensing the will of the Primal Vitality residing within. "I need you to swiftly imprint all of your Mind Magic onto my Demonic Vessel. Once this vessel ascends to become an Undead Sovereign, it will hasten to join the battle."
He proposed this as a trade with the Primal Vitality.
His real body had to vigilantly monitor the Primal Soul deep within the Everlands and maintain control over the situation in the Ashlands; he could not afford to leave hastily.
With his Solar Spirit Body constrained, the only other force at his disposal was the Demonic Vessel.
Without reaching the eleventh level or possessing the combat prowess of an Undead Sovereign, this vessel would be unable to exert its full strength.
The consciousness of the Primal Vitality, nestled deep within the ancient tree, had begrudgingly granted him the Mind Magic after his Solar Spirit had departed and an agreement with the Primal Blood was established.
Since the Primal Vitality had come in person from the Wraithlands, Yu Yuan's nascent Soul Altar could not coerce it into compliance.
He could only observe the Primal Vitality's lackluster efforts, powerless to intervene for the time being.
But now, the circumstances had changed.
After his Solar Spirit Body became ensnared in trouble, his Demonic Vessel had to advance rapidly, striving to achieve the status of Undead Sovereign in short order to stand a chance in aiding the battle.
The ancient tree's leaves rustled as the spiritual sense-infused Primal Vitality, left with no choice, continued to infuse the intricate Mind Magic.
The dominions of the other two Undead Lords swiftly integrated with Yu Yuan's Demonic Vessel.
The metamorphosis of his Demonic Vessel proceeded without hindrance, no longer impeded by the Primal Vitality.
