C2093 Snow Kid
The dark gray mountain hovered on the far side of the Star River, drawing in the cosmic energy that suffused its mass. Whenever it encountered a unique star, the mountain, originating from the Wasteland and harboring the awakening Mother Earth within, would absorb and refine it. So far, it had integrated eight stars into its being.
Mother Earth's spiritual sense also influenced Sekou, the massive bear, who gradually came to recognize and accept the mountain, using it to perceive the new secrets of the earth.
Choosing a different path, the mountain traversed a star-filled sea teeming with alien beasts, avoiding the barren original route that lacked the necessary sustenance.
At the mountain's summit, a vibrant life force was brewing. Amidst the thick, mist-like smoke, plants and alien beasts flocked in droves.
Yuan Le remained motionless, yet his body emitted a series of hoarse roars.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Countless alien beasts, summoned by Yuan Le's call, emerged from the stars they passed, converging at the mountain's peak to find a new home on the expansive, nascent land.
As the mountain journeyed back, it gathered alien beasts from the Origin Realm to transport them to the Wasteland.
Yuan Le was aware that the Sky Fiend was preying upon the higher-tier alien beasts across the world. Unable to linger in the Origin Realm, he could not rescue all the alien beasts. He focused on those he encountered along the way, guiding them to the safety of the mountain.
One day, the mountain reached a frigid Astral Domain. This world was a wintry landscape, blanketed in snow and ice, where a segment of the Moonlit Wanderers and a few from the Silverscale Tribe made their home in the chilly Star River.
An Evil God, ablaze with silver-white flames as if emerging from purgatory, was reaping lives in this realm. Serpentine and devoid of flesh, its body was composed entirely of gleaming silver bones, each segment burning with a cold, silver-white fire. It slithered through the void, desperately seeking the souls of the living.
This sinister being had entered this secluded world through the profound caverns of the Eiwrone.
"Wow!"
A piercing cry echoed from the depths of a lake, blanketed by a thick layer of ice, as the surface suddenly cracked with a sharp snap. A young man, carved from ice as if he were a jade sculpture, with bones like Ice Shards, exuded an exquisite beauty. He burst forth from an icy hole and fled.
The Evil God, ablaze with silver-white flames, was pleasantly surprised to see the young man emerge.
The Evil God made a beeline for him.
"Hmm?"
Yuan Le, who typically avoided getting involved, raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
The young man was not an alien beast, yet as he soared through the void, the ice energy from the entire Star River seemed to converge upon him. He possessed an eighth-level bloodline, but the vitality coursing through him did not match any known race from the Origin Realm.
Intrigued, Yuan Le's eyes flashed with a blood-red light as he scrutinized the young man. "He bears the mark of the Primal Blood of this realm, and... that intense chill," he mused. After a moment's thought, he chuckled to himself, "I see now."
With a mere thought, Yuan Le sent the smilodon and the Death Viper from the Beast God Temple to confront the silver-flamed Evil God.
The mountain continued its relentless howling, unaltered by this brief interlude.
Half an hour later.
The smilodon and the Death Viper returned, dragging the carcass of the Evil God up the mountain.
Yuan Le paid no attention to the remains of the Evil God; his eager gaze was fixed on the young man.
The young man, with his ice crystal jade bones, had been brought before the Beast God Temple by the two Beast Gods.
As the young man took his place, the Primal Blood within the mountain initiated communication with Yuan Le. Yuan Le nodded enthusiastically, his face breaking into a broad smile, realizing he had stumbled upon a remarkable find.
"Young man, what is your name?" Yuan Le inquired with a warm smile.
"Yu Han," the young man replied in a clear and articulate human tongue. He eyed Yuan Le and the two Beast Gods warily, "You are not creatures of this realm!"
"Yu Han?" Yuan Le's smile widened as he laughed heartily, "I've deduced your origins. You're quite unique. Your bloodline bears the trace of a snow bear. Deep within your heart, you've been blessed with the Primal Blood of this world, and the bloodline chain within your heart is forged from the essence of extreme cold."
"Hey, you're in luck for running into me. I'll take you to the Wasteland."
Yuan Le's laughter grew louder with each chuckle.
The young man, who introduced himself as Yu Han, scratched his head upon hearing this. "The Wasteland? I've heard of you. You're the invaders from beyond our realm!"
"I need to tell Grandpa Bear!"
A crystal chain around the youth's neck, woven with Ice Shards, began to glow.
"No need to bother. Your Grandpa Bear can't sense you anymore. You're safe in the Wasteland," Yuan Le said, shaking his head.
Thus, the Snow Kid, Yu Han, was cut off from the outside world, unable to communicate with the snow bear in any specific way.
"Yu Han, once you break through your bloodline's limit, the extreme cold from that star will trigger a transformation. But for now, you're in my hands, and in time, I'll be able to have a proper talk with it through you," Yuan Le said with a hearty laugh.
...
In the Dark Realm.
Yu Yuan stood on an icy island floating in the void, his Soul Altar between his eyebrows radiating brilliance.
Crack! Hiss!
Beams of light, inscribed with the rules of light magic, shot out from the crystal on his forehead, spreading in all directions across the Dark Realm.
Wherever the beams of light traveled, they altered the underlying rules of the Dark Realm, imprinting them with the essence of light magic.
And so, light was brought into the Dark Realm.
For countless years, the Dark Realm had been stained by the endless darkness of the Abyss, its energies saturated with dark energy, erasing all light magic.
Since the Light Spirit from the highest tier of the Abyss couldn't reach the Dark Realm, the once luminous Starry Sky Forbidden Zone had been transformed into its current state.
Now, with Yu Yuan's arrival, his mind's Light Spirit held the complete mysteries of light.
Using the enigmatic Soul Altar, he imprinted parts related to light onto the fundamental rules of the Dark Realm, forever altering it.
The island he stood upon became a beacon of light in the Dark Realm, driving away the darkness.
With his presence, the Dark Realm began to shift back to its original state.
"Light!"
"There's a source of light!"
"Where there's light, Yu Yuan must be there!"
Those who had entered the Dark Realm by various means, including the cosmic giant beasts, were thrilled upon witnessing the bright source of light.
The Starpierced, the Abyssal Leviathan, the Titan Turtle, Ann Ziqing, Taixu, and others were all converging on the light source within the Dark Realm.
Whoosh!
The Dire Bear, now at the tenth level, had transformed into a robust elder with a mane of silver hair and a matching beard. Soaring through the Dark Realm, he used the Life Keychain within him to detect the arrival of Yu Yuan, tracking him all the way to the light source.
As he approached the icy island suspended in the void, he didn't even land before he called out, "I've lost the sense of that child! I witnessed him being pursued by an Evil God and then taken by two Beast Gods."
The Snow Kid, known as Yu Han, shared a faint bond with him. The icy star in Snow Kid's world had been consecrated with his lifeblood. In the Dark Realm, there were unique Frostfell where he could track Snow Kid's movements. Alarmed by the mishap that had befallen Snow Kid, he had rushed over, desperately seeking Yu Yuan's assistance.
"It's Yuan Le."
Upon hearing his account, Yu Yuan's real body immediately grasped the situation. Snow Kid, whom the Dire Bear had hidden away in a secluded Star River to strengthen his bloodline, had been discovered by the roving Evil God and subsequently taken at Yuan Le's command.
Yuan Le, with his insight, undoubtedly recognized the significance of Snow Kid. "Don't worry. He'll be safe. Perhaps, with Yuan Le's aid, he'll manage to advance his bloodline in the Wasteland, and the intense cold of this realm might even surpass the boundaries of the Primal Anima," Yu Yuan reassured him.
The progression of the ice spirit on the Primal Blood Continent was intrinsically linked to the living creature that resonated with it, and that creature was none other than the Snow Kid, Yu Han.
