C2094 Peeking into the Eyes of the Primal Anima

As the spokesperson for the Primal Blood in the Wasteland, Yuan Le was well aware of the essential conditions required for the advancement of Primal Anima. Both the intense cold and the blazing fire of the Everlands necessitated the birth of living creatures that were perfectly attuned to them. Once Yuan Lianyao underwent her metamorphosis into the progenitor of the Fire Demon race, the Blazing Fire gained the necessary foundation to evolve. Barring any unforeseen events, the Blazing Fire should have already reached the status of an Intermediate Primal Anima.

Upon encountering the Snow Kid, Yuan Le immediately surmised that its creation must have been influenced by the extreme cold, which had placed great expectations on the child. The snow bear, the Primal Blood of this realm, along with Yu Yuan himself, had both played a role in the Snow Kid's emergence.

The current state of affairs in the Origin Realm was complex. When Mother Earth set about refining the Earth Spirit, the two Primal Bloods joined forces, indicating their mutual understanding of who the true threat was. This collaboration suggested that the Snow Kid was likely out of harm's way.

"How can this be? The entity backing Yuan Le and the one from the Dark Star are supposed to be locked in an endless struggle!" The dire bear, now capable of shape-shifting and having advanced to the tenth level of its bloodline, still struggled with comprehension.

Yu Yuan spent considerable time trying to reassure Yu Han, who nevertheless persisted in his anxious outcries, "His name is Yu Han; I chose it for him. He carries your life essence; you can't just abandon him!"

"Yu Han..." Yu Yuan's demeanor shifted as he reached out to the Solar Spirit he had encountered en route. He sought to leverage the Solar Spirit's connection to inquire about the Primal Blood's stance on the extreme coldness.

Yuan Le and the towering mountain had not yet departed from the Origin Realm, meaning the rescue of the Snow Kid remained a possibility. In his mind's eye, the layer of the Soul Altar corresponding to the Primal Blood echoed with his inner voice.

To his astonishment, he discovered that he could directly engage with the Primal Blood of this world through the Soul Altar, bypassing the need for the Solar Spirit. With this realization, he sought the counsel of the Primal Blood using the Soul Altar as his medium.

A message sparkled within the crystalline, ruby-like surface of the altar, a clear sentiment emanating from the Primal Blood approaching the Dark Realm: There was no urgency in rescuing the Snow Kid.

The Primal Blood and the bitter cold seemed quite content with Snow Kid's departure from the Origin Realm, accompanying Yuan Le, the Lord of Ruin, to another world to advance his bloodline.

In this new realm, Snow Kid's ascension to supreme being appeared more congruent with the cold's progression.

"Don't worry, he should be alright," Yu Yuan reassured, gesturing once more for the dire bear to stay calm. "It and the Primal Blood Continent are en route; you'll be able to communicate with it shortly."

The dire bear, puzzled, scratched its head but, failing to grasp the situation, settled down nonetheless.

"Light! This place wasn't always known as the Dark Realm; it was once the Frostlands."

"Apart from the Shura, our snow bear clan once thrived in this world too."

After some time, the dire bear had an epiphany, slapping its head as it gazed upon the increasingly luminous void.

Known as the snow bear, it was the Shura's staunchest ally until it ascended to the tenth level and took human form.

Many Blood Kings had risen to the tenth level with its aid, becoming chieftains of the Shura clan.

With Yu Yuan's arrival heralding the return of light, the dire bear exclaimed with fervor, "The Frostlands have returned! They're back!"

"Light, Primal Blood..."

Yu Yuan, while weaving the fabric of light magic, emitted a gleam of light from his brow, sensing a connection with the Light Spirit in the deepest reaches of the Abyss.

Despite the Light Spirit's evasiveness and lack of response, he was aware of its presence beneath the continent's surface.

It was on the verge of a breakthrough, with the potential to ascend to the rank of an Intermediate Primal Anima through Yuan Le's Star of Light.

The Dawnbringers were in sync with the Light Spirit, and this tribe was in no short supply.

Left behind in the Wasteland, the seeds of light that had scattered there were returning as the Star of Light, endowing it with the potential for advancement.

If light could sense, so could Primal Blood. And so...

Within his sea of consciousness, he turned to the Soul Altar, attempting to perceive the Tree of Life and the Thunder Spirit intertwined within.

Swoosh!

Deep within the darkness, the Tree of Life was bathed in the light of the Soul Altar. He could now clearly see the Tree of Life and the Thunder Spirit nestled within.

"What more do you want?"

"We've already shared everything we know with you!"

"You've reclaimed what was once yours. What more could you possibly want?!"

"It has emerged in the Genesis Continent. We all felt it. Are you trying to kill us?"

Both Primal Animas voiced their discontent in unison.

"Don't be nervous; I'm just taking a look at you."

Yu Yuan withdrew his probing consciousness and attempted to sense the Primal Vitality within the Wraithlands through the Soul Altar, but to no avail.

Whether it was the unique conditions of the Wraithlands or the Primal Vitality's rank surpassing that of the Grass and Thunder Spirits, he couldn't even pinpoint its location.

He failed to detect the Primal Vitality, but instead... he caught sight of his Demonic Vessel in Eiwrone.

The vessel, now an Undead Sovereign, stood impassively in Eiwrone, the energy vortex around it having ceased its furious outpour. Sensing his gaze, the possessor deftly manipulated the flagpole in hand, stirring the void.

In an instant, he saw nothing more.

The flagpole, a fusion of the Wraithbanner and the Banner of Duality, had been taken along with its departing spirit.

Whoosh!

Zhong Chichen, astride the Book of Time, led a formidable procession including the little spinosaurus, Loong Jie, Duskjaw, Abyssal Leviathan, Starpierced, Titan Turtle, Duskjaw, Grey God Crocodile, Three-legged Golden Crow, Stormwraith, and numerous ninth-level giant dragons, soaring mightily through the skies.

"Yu Yuan!"

Upon sighting him, the Abyssal Leviathan's eyes brimmed with tears, its voice breaking, "Has the old lizard passed? I can no longer sense him. He must be dead. Who is responsible for his death?"

"Was it the Secular Bird Queen?!"

The Abyssal Leviathan's gaze turned fierce, as if ready to engage in a desperate battle with Chen Qinghuang, frantically searching for any sign of the Azure Bird.

"Calm down!"

Loong Jie glared and scolded, "You're well aware of what the Lizard has turned into! He's been dabbling with the powers of the Abyss for ages. His infection was due to his relentless pursuit of that power, seeking an edge to challenge Bertain."

"He was also the one who actively pursued the Secular Bird Queen. He's lost his self-awareness. If he's dead, then so be it."

Loong Jie had no connection to the Abyssal Greater Basilisk. Upon discovering that the Abyssal Greater Basilisk had been tainted by the Abyss, Loong Jie abandoned the Lizard, treating him as an enemy.

Many lower-tier Nagas were unable to leave Tyria, partly due to the Lizard's interference.

"What a shame. I should have pursued and devoured that old Lizard."

The little spinosaurus expressed its regret.

The Starpierced and the Titan Turtle that came with them shuddered at its words.

As cosmic giant beasts of the new generation, these two behemoths were terrified of the almighty Titan Spinosaurus.

This fear also extended to the little spinosaurus, which they suspected might exploit the chaos to prey on them.

The world was in turmoil, with the Evil God hunting Otherkin far and wide. The Sky Fiend and humans were united in their pursuit of alien beasts, creating an environment where everyone felt vulnerable and sought to amass power quickly.

The little spinosaurus was naturally brutal. Had Yu Yuan not kept it in check, it might have been devoured before it could grow.

"It was Yuan Le's doing."

Yu Yuan coughed, breaking up the dispute and revealing the truth, "He possessed Cao Jiaze and gave chase. Yuan Le commanded the Lizard to strike, only to be crushed by Yuan Le with the Heaven-Shattering Hammer."

"The Lizard was utterly consumed by its power, beyond saving. Its remains have been taken to the Beast God Temple."

Yu Yuan also expressed his regret, saying, "As for the Abyssal Winged Lizards we rescued before, if you find them in the future, nurture them well. As for the Lizard, I fear resurrection is unlikely."

Whoosh!

Ann Ziqing, Taixu, and Tianqi finally reached the source of light, standing before Yu Yuan's real body. Upon seeing Tianqi, Yu Yuan's brow furrowed; he was uncertain whether he could help Tianqi escape the Primal Soul's grasp.

"Let's give it a shot. Tianqi's physique is robust, and it's not out of the realm of possibility."
