C2102 The Sublimation of the Origin Spirit!

The Light Origin Spirit was shrieking.

Deep within Yu Yuan's sea of consciousness, on the platform of the Soul Altar, a slender silhouette suddenly materialized.

Yu Yuan's face involuntarily twitched at the sight.

The delicate figure turned out to be a beautifully dressed girl in a white dress, her bright teeth shining as she frantically screamed in panic.

It was none other than Canli, the Saint of the Bright Clan!

Canli, trembling with fear, was vigorously shaking the Scepter of Light, pleading with Yu Yuan from a distance, her voice pitiful and tearful.

"Block it, let me escape, please, I'm begging you!"

"Canli" was so distressed that tears were falling.

But Yu Yuan knew all too well that this was not Canli.

It was the Light Origin Spirit.

The figure of Canli was nothing more than a shadow conjured from the energy of light, a soulless illusion.

It was exploiting the bond it shared with Canli, taking on her form to fabricate a false body and implore for his assistance.

It had grown more sly and troublesome, even learning to manipulate his sense of compassion.

"Something's not right."

Yu Yuan was struck by an odd sensation.

First the Darkness Origin Spirit, and now the Light Origin Spirit seemed to have changed.

They were nothing like the indifferent, emotionless Origin Spirits of his memory, those who stood aloof from the feelings of living beings.

The Origin Spirits he was familiar with were transcendent beings of intelligence, a fusion of order and spirit.

Origin Spirits were devoid of emotion, mechanical and insensate, acting solely on specific principles.

Then, with a crackle, a flash of green lightning surged at the pinnacle of his Soul Altar, unlocking a memory sealed for eons.

This forgotten memory stemmed from the Abyss Origin Soul that had been his companion for ages, the very entity deemed by the inhabitants of the Origin Realm as the wellspring of malevolence.

It had claimed that with its metamorphosis and breakthroughs, it could alter the Origin Spirits, endowing them with more than mere wisdom.

It had the power to imbue the Origin Spirits with the full spectrum of emotions, making them as sentient as any intelligent race, complete with the most unfathomable passions and desires.

One day, the Origin Spirits would experience sorrow, feel pain, understand love, and even grasp desire.

This was its deepest longing.

As the mightiest of the Origin Spirits, it was aware that both humans and the beings of the Abyss possessed these intricate emotions.

It lacked emotions, a state it could only long for but never attain.

Other extraordinary Origin Spirits like itself possessed intelligence and spirituality, serving as embodiments of the Great Dao of Law.

Yet, they were as cold and impersonal as metal.

It yearned for change.

Consuming the vast Abyss Origin Soul and achieving a breakthrough seemed to have sparked a miraculous transformation.

The Darkness Origin Spirit, after possessing Tan Xiaotian, began to manifest with a feminine demeanor, adopting the speech and mannerisms of a woman.

In a state of fear, the Light Origin Spirit took on Canli's form to plead, knowing how to appear pitiful and elicit sympathy from others.

These two Origin Spirits, somehow influenced by its power, were becoming increasingly humanized.

Though they lacked physical bodies, they now possessed the intelligence and emotions of living beings.

"They're going to kill me. You must save me; you promised!" Canli continued to scream.

Yu Yuan observed closely.

He gradually discovered that it resided in an extraordinary place atop the abyssal peak, amidst a multitude of Divine Stones of Light.

This place bore a resemblance to the Heart of Vast Water.

The Divine Stones, shimmering and clear, were brimming with unimaginable light energy, saturating the earth's core.

These Divine Stones of Light had formed from the boundless energies of the abyss and the cosmos deep beneath the surface.

In its dwelling, natural veins of minerals could form, giving rise to the purest Divine Stones of Light.

Any member of the Bright Clan who acquired these stones and refined the light energy within through their bloodline could undergo a profound transformation, purifying their marrow and being reborn.

Even if it departed, the land where it had resided for eons would become a beacon of light due to the presence of the Divine Stones of Light, allowing the abyssal lands below to bask in their glow.

"I must leave; I am bound for the Desolate Realm!"

In the cavernous underground, countless luminous lines, akin to the neural pathways of the Light Origin Spirit, converged towards a dazzling celestial body.

This star was the so-called Light Star that Yuen Bu had brought from the Desolate Realm and entrusted to it.

After being consecrated underground, the Light Star had become a vessel capable of holding its spirit and the principles of light. The Canli it had manifested resided within the Light Star, where it had amassed both spirit and the laws of light.

Whoosh!

A star burst forth from a fissure in the secluded valley once visited by Cadorath and Yuan Li.

This radiant star was so brilliant that no one on the surface could gaze upon it with the naked eye.

Even esteemed figures like Lu Hongpeng and Van Heqing involuntarily shut their eyes, unable to withstand the star's glare.

Its luminosity was overwhelming, and the intense light it emitted had the potential to blind anyone who dared to stare too long.

As it ascended, the world was enveloped in a blinding white, leaving everyone momentarily sightless.

The light it cast compelled the mighty beings of the lower abyss to bow their heads, too intimidated to look up at the sky or directly at the source of light it had become.

In that instant, it became clear that this star was, indeed, the brightest in the heavens and earth.

"You move swiftly."

The Darkness Origin Spirit, possessing Tan Xiaotian, let out a cold huff. Mounted on a cushion known as the "Heaven of Darkness," it pursued the fleeing Light Star.

With each ascent, the light above dimmed incrementally.

Darkness reclaimed the sixth and seventh levels of the Abyss World.

By the time it reached the fifth level, the dark energy it brought forth could no longer obscure the entire expanse.

The darkness welling up from below failed to rise to the fifth level, leaving it flickering between light and dark.

Yet, it continued its relentless climb.

Crackle! Crackle!

A flurry of orderly lightning entwined around it, abruptly slowing its ascent.

It came to a halt, sensing something amiss, and looked downward.

From the boundless darkness, the figure of Yu Yuan emerged again from the Creation Land where it had concealed itself.

Yu Yuan had not pursued the possessed Tan Xiaotian but had instead taken the opportunity to descend as it took flight.

Entangled by the familiar laws of order within the fifth level of the Abyss World, it could no longer rise.

Yu Yuan, wielding the might of the Abyss Lord and his masterful command of this world's laws, harnessed the world's power to restrain it.

As it struggled with the lines of order in Tan Xiaotian's form, the lands of the Abyss World trembled.

The fifth, sixth, and parts of the fourth levels quaked as if yanked by a colossal force.

Lands in close proximity collided, unleashing thunderous roars that echoed through the abyss.

The cities and kingdoms upon the land, crafted by the intelligent race of the Abyss World, had fallen amidst the world's tremors and collisions. Countless creatures of the Abyss met their demise.

It furrowed its brow in the shadows.

The ethereal chains of order that bound it were linked to every tier of the Abyss World.

Unable to break free, its contortions were pulling at the numerous Abyss Worlds.

Even after taking over the Eleventh Level Tan Xiaotian, it lacked the strength to pursue the Light Origin Spirit across the Abyss Worlds.

Only by severing the ties that bound it to the Abyss Worlds could it free itself and ascend further.

...

In the darkness.

Yu Yuan gazed once more at the vast chasm left by the departure of the Evil God Temple, looking at a pitch-black mirror that had materialized with his presence.

Whoosh!

The Soul Altar, nestled deep within his consciousness, drifted from his brow and hovered above his head like a divine diadem.

"Isolate."

With a mere thought, a surge of power emerged from the Soul Altar, creating a barrier between the Soul Altar within Tan Xiaotian and the one concealed in Creation Land.

"I'm not certain how much of your spiritual consciousness has descended into Tan Xiaotian's body," Yu Yuan said with a faint smile.

"But I do know that your inability to summon Tan Xiaotian at will for possession and combat is a significant setback for you. Moreover, part of your spiritual consciousness is trapped within Tan Xiaotian's body, unable to return swiftly."

"You are quite weakened now."

Yu Yuan remained still, directing the Soul Altar toward the obsidian mirror.

He intended to blend the unique properties of his Soul Altar with his own Darkness Stage, incorporating it into the altar, thereby augmenting his power.

He was aware that both the Darkness Origin Spirit and the other would make their appearance.

Sure enough.

His image reemerged within the pitch-black mirror, the form of the Undead Sovereign, now inhabited by the Abyss Origin Soul that had created him.

In the mirror, he locked gazes once again with the Heart of Vast Waters.
