C2112 The Demon Aura That Looked at Each Other

In the enveloping darkness, Yu Yuan, embodying the Undead Sovereign, stood at the edge of the Wellspring of Creation. This vast expanse, spanning tens of millions of acres, was a kaleidoscope of flesh and blood, seemingly composed of the very essence of all living beings, and it was both wondrous and terrifying.

He gazed downward, as if witnessing the once-mighty species of a doomed world undergoing a brutal evolution. "That's why I've placed my hope in you," he said, lifting his gaze to meet Yu Yuan's with a serene demeanor.

Yu Yuan was taken aback by this.

A glint appeared in his eyes as he continued, "The emergence of the Titan Spinosaurus, and that old dragon's exploration of the Abyss, has kindled hope within me. If there's Primal Blood with similar attributes in another world, and I can grasp it to comprehend the Secrets of Life, then I can thoroughly unravel the profound meanings within the Wellspring of Creation, based on that Primal Blood."

A soft chuckle escaped him.

"Because your Solar Spirit descended within the Heart of the Everlands, your insights into the Secrets of Life and your knowledge of bloodlines have been etched into it. I had intended to transport the Wellspring of Creation to the Everlands, to cast it into the Heart of the Everlands, and use the Bloodline Revelation within to decode the mysteries hidden in this mass of flesh and blood."

"It may be dead, yet the life power it once awakened eludes me. As a form of Primal Blood, it has ventured further than the Origin Blood from the Origin Realm and that of the Wasteland."

"My understanding of this force is limited; I cannot blindly fathom the power imprinted in this mass without guidance."

"Now, thanks to your Solar Spirit, I've acquired the Secrets of Life from the Primal Blood of the Origin Realm. Moreover, you've refined the Root of the Solar Meridian, which contains a fragment of the Wasteland's Primal Blood's true essence."

"Once the Wellspring reaches the Heart of the Everlands, I should be able to gradually unravel its secrets over time."

"But now, there's no longer a need."

He regarded Yu Yuan pensively, observing as the third eye on Yu Yuan's forehead illuminated the Wellspring of Creation, fixated on the amalgam of flesh and blood.

Within the undulating mass of flesh and blood, numerous substantial Life Seeds continued to vanish.

The vanishing Life Seeds were all situated on Yu Yuan's Soul Altar, forged from the life power of Primal Blood.

"Because I've found a superior option."

He permitted Yu Yuan to assimilate the Life Seeds of every creature and being from the destroyed world below, refraining from any intervention or obstruction of Yu Yuan's actions.

"Bringing the Wellspring of Creation into the Heart of the Everlands also requires time to fully grasp and penetrate its profundity, and it's a lengthy process. Since your Soul Altar is capable of absorption and refinement, it should be able to handle the Wellspring as well."

He paused briefly, then let out a knowing chuckle.

"Letting you digest and comprehend it amounts to the same thing. I can spare myself the effort."

"After all..."

His gaze lingered on the center of Yu Yuan's forehead, as if he could see Yu Yuan's six-tiered Soul Altar, and he proclaimed, "After all, the Soul Altar you've crafted will inevitably become mine. When I possess you, and we become one, what's yours will be mine."

"Everything you've gained, understood, and experienced will belong to me once my spiritual sense descends."

He smiled contentedly, radiating supreme confidence.

Having consumed the Primal Soul of the Everlands, he was unparalleled and ultimate on the Way of Heaven.

He was convinced that no matter how diligently Yu Yuan strived, he would ultimately be unable to elude him.

When Yu Yuan's Demonic Vessel, which had ascended to Undead Sovereign, was possessed by him, he also acquired the profound essence of Primal Vitality.

Having devoured the Primal Soul of the Everlands and grasped the Mind Magic of the Wraithlands, he was already assimilating and comprehending it, poised to eventually absorb the Primal Vitality in its entirety.

Once he achieved Great Perfection, he could possess and claim any suitable vessel for himself.

Bertain, Yu Yuan, and anyone capable of sustaining the might of the Sky Fiend and manifesting its combat prowess would be unable to resist him.

Even the mightiest, like Lin Daoke and Tan Xiaotian, could be possessed by him when necessary.

Their souls, however, were too frail to withstand his power or manifest his true combat strength. Upon his possession and the unleashing of his power, their souls would shatter and perish.

With a whoosh, the pitch-black mirror, once the Altar of Shadows, returned from the bordering Dark Realm to the Genesis Continent and descended into the location of the Evil Temple.

As the mirror vanished, it retreated underground at the Genesis Continent, to the dwelling place of the true Dark Anima.

"That Death Bird is proving to be quite the nuisance."

The Dark Anima, inhabiting Tan Xiaotian, found itself at the confrontation site between Yu Yuan and the Secular Bird Queen.

Yu Yuan's real body, along with him, turned their attention to the Dark Anima within Tan Xiaotian.

They also beheld a greenish-grey Divine Bird, wildly scattering the powers of death and destruction.

Beneath the Divine Bird was Chen Qinghuang, her Divine Visage displaying three heads and six arms.

In the uttermost depths of darkness, Chen Qinghuang's towering Divine Visage exuded auras of death, destruction, and poison, as though she were the sovereign of these three sacred pathways.

Her body's meridians and blood vessels were filled with the intent of death, devoid of any trace of life.

Her three faces were exquisitely beautiful, possessing a remarkable allure that any sentient being would appreciate upon gazing at her.

Yet in this state, Chen Qinghuang embodied a Divine Spirit symbolizing death and destruction.

Her very existence seemed to be centered on annihilating all life, on obliterating everything destructible.

This version of Chen Qinghuang was immensely powerful and profoundly terrifying.

"This is your domain, brimming with boundless dark energy and my Soul Power. The Tan Xiaotian you've possessed is an eleventh-level Undead Sovereign, and you are a mid-tier Primal Anima. You should not have failed to kill this Divine Bird."

He didn't catch what the Dark Anima replied, but he quickly perceived that something was amiss. "Odd, this isn't right. Could there be some force at play here...?"

In the depths of his eyes, a myriad of colors flickered—azure, black, deep purple, dark green.

His innate Spirit Magic, the arcane secrets gleaned from consuming the Heart of the Everlands' Primal Soul, and the recently understood arcane arts, all manifested within his gaze.

With these, he probed the depths of Tan Xiaotian's spiritual sense, seeking to understand his soul.

A vision unfolded before him.

It was a glimpse of Tan Xiaotian descending into the heart of the earth before his journey to the Genesis Continent.

Before delving underground, Tan Xiaotian paused at the entrance of the Evil Temple, its doors wide open, where he beheld the Demon God Bertain.

In the grand hall, Bertain's eyes, though filled with devil souls, were vacant and expressionless, betraying no hint of the extraordinary.

Yet, this very image had etched itself profoundly into Tan Xiaotian's soul memory. It was as if the scene had crystallized into its own world, perpetually illuminating Tan Xiaotian's innermost state of mind.

As Tan Xiaotian ventured into the Heart of the Everlands, his thoughts lingered on Bertain's condition. The more he pondered, the more vivid the image in his mind became. It was that very image, the hollow-eyed Bertain, that continued to exert a silent influence on Tan Xiaotian, aiding him in purifying his self.

Upon reaching the Genesis Continent and becoming host to the Dark Anima, Tan Xiaotian secretly sealed away his dark energy and the acupoints of his body. With his own power, he concealed a portion of his strength within the darkness of his flesh.

The Dark Anima, now the master of his body, had not obtained a complete Tan Xiaotian upon its arrival. Unbeknownst to the Dark Anima itself, Tan Xiaotian lacked the power of an eleventh-level sovereign.

The centipede does not falter even in death. Bertain's downfall was inevitable. As the spokesperson for the Everlands' Primal Soul and an eleventh-level sovereign who had mastered the Path of the Soul, his combat prowess was universally recognized as the strongest. Without Yu Yuan's awakening and the Solar Spirit's ascension to the eleventh level, and before the creation of the Soul Altar, Bertain stood as the de facto ruler of the Origin Realm.

Had Bertain not been constrained by the Evil Temple in the Abyss, Yuan Le would not have dared to encroach. Until the Everlands' Primal Soul, Bertain's creator, was consumed by the Evil God, Bertain required the combined forces of the Evil Temple and all contemporary Evil Gods to retain him.

Even after losing his source and under the relentless corruption of the Dark Anima, Bertain still had the strength to lend Tan Xiaotian a hand. With his assistance, Tan Xiaotian was able to confine his essence and bury part of his power.

The Dark Anima that had descended upon Tan Xiaotian could not awaken the full battle strength of the Dark Overlord and found itself compelled to seek aid from the Secular Bird Queen.

He couldn't help but regard Bertain with newfound respect.

...

At that very moment.

The blood crystal at the center of Yu Yuan's forehead withdrew into his sea of consciousness.

Within his Soul Altar's sixth level, numerous Life Seeds had appeared, their secrets still eluding his understanding.

These Life Seeds shone like a constellation of stars, emitting a dazzling blood-red radiance, each harboring infinite mysteries.

These mysteries originated from the depths of darkness, from another world that had perished, from the exquisite essence of life it had once nurtured, and from the unique Secrets of Life of another Primal Blood.

This other Primal Blood had ventured much further down the path than the two from the Origin Realm and the Wasteland.

It had not awakened to emotion; it was dead, and its spiritual essence should have vanished.

Yet the profound Secrets of Life it had explored, the vital energy of the beings that had evolved from its Laws, remained, preserved within the pulsating mass of flesh and blood at the Wellspring of Creation.

The Bloodline Revelation within the Life Seed required an immense supply of vital energy to endure.

This throbbing mass of flesh and blood provided the sustenance necessary for their existence.

With the departure of the Life Seed, the flesh and blood within the Wellspring of Creation gradually calmed, settling into a dormant state devoid of any terrifying tremors.
