C212 He Was Able to Deal with Them with Ease!

Clusters of miasma cloud intertwined with the Heaven Banners.

Yu Yuan stood resolute at the heart of the banners, unmoving.

Centered around him, Bai Shenshen of the Medicine Sect and six young alchemists from various nations converged, vigilant and cautious.

Those young ones who failed to reach him in time had perished.

The undulating miasma cloud resembled a monstrous entity, its gaping maw swallowing and tearing at the flesh of the living.

Fear gripped everyone's hearts.

Jin Fann of the Ghoul Glyph Sect stood apart, observing coldly, awaiting their grim demise.

When he challenged Yu Yuan, Yu Yuan shifted the conversation, advising, "You'd better reflect on your own situation."

Jin Fann was momentarily taken aback.

Then, he witnessed the miasma cloud, now without a target, violently surge toward the Heaven Banners.

The previously gathered miasma clouds scattered, morphing into ghastly spirits and demons, exuding a savage and murderous aura.

"Hu!"

A cluster of miasma cloud shot into one of the banners.

Engraved within were images of spiders, lizards, and an unknown venomous creature.

These three beings, once vivid within the fabric of the banner, now screamed and shrieked, their cries harmonizing with the formation's binding spells to create rings of spiritual light.

Abruptly, a greenish miasma cloud materialized within the banner.

The cloud, with an eerie force, unveiled itself and in a flash, engulfed the spiders, lizards, and the mysterious insect.

The creatures within the banners let out piercing shrieks, their cries slicing through the air like blades, causing agonizing headaches.

Bai Shenshen and even Yu Yuan were compelled to cover their ears.

The anomaly escalated!

The remaining eight Heaven Banners were also infiltrated by the miasma cloud, which seemed to transport them into a different realm, where it feasted upon the engraved insects and venomous entities.

Intermittently, the creatures within the banners emitted shrill cries that pained the ear.

Yu Yuan, still covering his ears, remained composed. He glanced at Jin Fann and with a slight smile reiterated, "I warned you not to play with fire and risk burning yourself."

Bai Shenshen was taken aback.

At that very moment, the visitor from the Ghoul Glyph Sect had blood trickling from the corner of his eye.

Not long before, Jin Fann, who appeared to have everything under control, was dictating the fates of all present. He had deployed the Heaven Banners to create a formidable barrier that no one could breach.

All were left with no choice but to passively await the infiltration of the miasma cloud, which picked them off one by one.

However, following Yu Yuan's enigmatic remarks, the tide turned abruptly, and a series of bizarre events unfolded.

Firstly, Yu Yuan remained unharmed, utterly unaffected by the venomous miasma cloud.

Next, anyone who drew near Yu Yuan seemed to gain an amulet of protection, no longer pursued by the toxic vapors.

Ultimately, Jin Fann, the instigator, found his own Heaven Banners turning against him. The miasma cloud penetrated the banners and ravaged the venomous creatures and oddities bred within by the secret methods of the Ghoul Glyph Sect.

Jin Fann had painstakingly refined each of the Heaven Banners, infusing them with his essence and labor.

When the banners were simultaneously breached, Jin Fann felt an agonizing connection, as if his own body was being devoured piece by piece by those horrific creatures.

"Who are you, exactly?!"

Jin Fann, with blood now streaming from his eyes, seemed to grasp the gravity of the situation, sensing an anomaly.

His gaze fixed on Yu Yuan, deep within his pupils, threads of soul appeared to weave together, forming an intricate ghoul glyph.

A dazzling radiance burst forth from his eyes, as two strange talismans capable of perceiving the minutest details materialized in a flash, revealing to him numerous subtleties.

To his astonishment, he saw Yu Yuan amidst the Heaven Banners, from whose sleeves poured forth a dust finer than grains of sand.

This dust sparkled like tiny diamonds, emitting a soft glow as it dispersed in a seven to eight-meter radius around Yu Yuan, never reaching the ground.

The diamond-like dust was imperceptible to the naked eye, visible to him only with the aid of the strange talisman.

He paused, momentarily taken aback, then turned his attention back to the Heaven Banners.

After that, he noticed an additional, equally fine dust on the surface of the banner he had crafted, this one a subtle shade of purple, invisible to the naked eye.

One was pink, the other, a delicate purple.

The pink dust kept the miasma cloud at bay, steering clear of it from a distance.

But the purple dust had the opposite effect. It wielded a magical power, beckoning the miasma cloud, drawing it in with a unique scent.

"Boom! Boom!"

Deep within Jin Fann's eyes, the strange talisman he had arduously formed was under assault by the banner's poisonous creatures and oddities, making it impossible for him, the spellcaster, to sustain it.

In the instant the strange talisman burst, Jin Fann could no longer discern the marvels, yet his mind was crystal clear.

"Yu Yuan, your name is Yu Yuan, isn't it?"

Jin Fann inhaled sharply, his face darkening with fierce rage, and suddenly he expelled a ghoul glyph. It morphed into a ghastly ghost face that soared towards Yu Yuan.

The ghost face glowed an eerie green, radiating a sinister chill, as though it could shatter the soul.

"Crack! Crack!"

The space through which the ghost face passed emitted strange sounds, as if it had been flash-frozen.

Bai Shenshen's face contorted with anger as she bellowed, "Despicable!"

"Low-down."

Simultaneously, another voice, mocking and elusive, drifted into the fray.

A golden rose descended from the heavens.

This golden rose exuded a majestic, ancient aura, capturing the attention of all present the moment it appeared.

By a stroke of fate, the golden rose landed directly upon the ghost face.

The malevolent, icy ghost face, like a snowball dissolving under the fierce sun, evaporated into mist, leaving behind invisible "meltwater" under the watchful eyes of the crowd.

In the blink of an eye, it vanished without a trace.

Jin Fann, the creator of the ghoul glyph, was further wounded, a gush of fresh blood spurting uncontrollably from his mouth.

Fuming, he turned to look elsewhere.

At the opposite end of the triangle from him, Yu Yuan, and Bai Shenshen, a man and a woman emerged unexpectedly.

The man was Lau Zaihe, a descendant of the Mighty Spirit King, who should have been evacuated, staying clear of the scene.

The woman stood tall, her face veiled in green, her exposed features as exquisitely beautiful as a painting.

Her eyes sparkled with a playful mirth, as if she were utterly unconcerned and fearless, exuding the pure innocence of a young girl.

Standing beside her, Lau Zaihe, who was typically aloof and icy, seemed unexpectedly nervous in her presence.

Emblazoned on the woman's shoulders were the symbols of the Luan Bird. Her chest bore nine medicinal herbs, marking her as a Spirit Level Ninth Grade alchemist—surpassing even Lau Zaihe in prowess.

Jin Fann, on the brink of rage, paused mid-tirade at the sight of her attire and demeanor, as if a memory had struck him, causing his face to dramatically shift in color.

Jin Fann, to everyone's surprise, regained his composure in an oddly serene manner.

The woman behind the green veil was the one who had thwarted him and shattered the ghoul glyph. Yet, his anger was directed at Lau Zaihe as he darkly warned, "Even if she is a descendant of the Mighty Spirit King, after I've allowed your departure, you should know to behave."

Initially, Lau Zaihe had no desire to get involved or linger, wishing to avoid further conflict.

But now, bolstered by the presence of the statuesque woman, he seemed to find a newfound courage, as if fearing her disdain, he feigned bravado and declared, "The Ghoul Glyph Sect isn't the Demon Palace or the Demon Palace of the Quietus Continent. Having grown strong enough to stand against the Blood God Cult and the Red Devil Sect, they can't just run rampant in the Profound Sky Continent."

"Boy! You think you have the right to lecture me?" Jin Fann bellowed, his fury unabated as he suddenly turned his aggression towards Lau Zaihe.

In his fit of rage, he no longer held any regard for the lineage of the Mighty Spirit King.

"Why has this fellow returned?" Yu Yuan asked, bewildered, turning to Bai Shenshen beside him, "Coming back after being let go is a serious breach of etiquette."

He then noticed Bai Shenshen was silent.

Bai Shenshen, along with the surviving young alchemists from the various empires, all gazed at the woman with the green veil, their expressions softening.

It was as though they had found their anchor, a source of calm assurance.
