C2189 The Hall Was Abnormally Chaotic
Zhiya's defiant words sent shockwaves through all the Beast Gods, and even Yu Yuan felt his heart skip a beat.
He paused his assault on Yuan Le as the vast vital energy surrounding him came to an abrupt halt. The Wheel of Life within his mind, with its myriad of fleeting worlds, fell into a deep silence.
Atop the mountain peak, the surging life force seemed to freeze in response to Zhiya's declaration.
The woman in the black dress, a black goat in disguise, and the Ape from the Everlands regarded Zhiya with eyes that saw her as the most fearsome devil in existence.
How could this woman dare to speak such words?
The Primal Blood was the source of all life in the Wasteland, the creator of every alien beast and intelligent life form!
Her own Life Seed originated from this realm's Primal Blood, making her, in the strictest sense, a child of the Primal Blood.
Yet she dared to encourage Yuan Le to refine and transform the very Primal Blood that had given birth to her and granted her the supreme life sequence?
Her audacity knew no bounds.
Under the Dark Phoenix's seductive incitement, Yuan Le, in his true giant ape form, stood bewildered at the mountain's summit.
He was still processing the staggering revelations from the Light Spirit, contemplating how to assist the Primal Blood.
Zhiya's statement, like a whirlwind, whipped up a storm in his mind, leaving him reeling from the horrific psychic assault.
Yuan Le, in his giant ape guise, gaped as he exhaled plumes of dark red mist. In front of him, Yu Yuan's chest transformed into a thunder ball that burst forth with crackling energy.
Yu Yuan raised his arm in defense.
Boom!
Yu Yuan effortlessly shattered the explosive orb resulting from Yuan Le's vital energy discharge, and amidst the splattering blood-red light, he multitasked with ease.
His life essence coalesced into spinning eyeballs that shot out from his chest in rapid succession.
Some sought the Wellspring of Creation, others headed for the Beast God Temple, and a few landed just behind Yuan Le's head.
In the void above the Peak of Creation, numerous peculiar dark red eyeballs materialized, their crimson glow observing the world from various perspectives.
He had just unlocked the power of the Eye of Life.
The Secrets of Life, known to the Primal Blood of this realm, transformed into bolts of blood-red lightning and merged into his Solar Spirit. He had absorbed and understood them at the earliest opportunity.
Being a supreme eleventh-level being, created with the Secrets of Life from another Primal Blood, comprehension came easily to him.
With lifeblood, he refined the Eye of Life, which he used to probe the magic arts of the world. His initial attempt was a success, and he quickly applied his newfound knowledge.
As Yuan Le was lost in thought, the dark red Eyes of Life had already spread throughout the Peak of Creation.
One of these Eyes of Life kept a close watch on the Wellspring of Creation, meticulously observing the slowly withering Uxthar Tree and the emaciated Direbear.
The Direbear was Yuan Le's steadfast ally. Yu Yuan was indifferent to its fate, just as he was unconcerned with the demise of the Uxthar Tree.
His concern lay with his other self, trapped within the confines of the wall.
Whoosh!
A fist-sized Eye of Life seized the chance to dart towards the stone door left ajar by Zhiya.
Yu Yuan intended to use the Eye of Life to ascertain whether the Secular Bird Queen, confined and suppressed by Yuan Le in the Beast God Temple, was alive or dead.
As the Eye of Life was on the verge of entering the Beast God Temple, the hall trembled violently.
Yuan Le snapped out of his reverie with a start. With a roar, he harnessed the power of the Beast God Temple, and the stone door slammed shut.
Etched deeply into the rock face of the door, the blood grooves flowed with blood, creating a life force-sealing array.
"The life power you understand—I'm also contemplating it," Yu Yuan mused.
His immense Solar Spirit contracted suddenly. Before Yuan Le could sense the danger, the colossal Yu Yuan, who had astonished the Beast Gods, vanished into thin air atop the mountain.
In the blink of an eye, Yu Yuan became the Eye of Life soaring towards the Beast God Temple.
"Open!"
The Eye of Life morphed into Yu Yuan, now the size of a man, his palms facing the sealed stone door, with lines pulsing outward.
Infinite strength emanated from his palms, stirring the Star River in the void.
Crack!
The solid rocks at the edge of the Peak of Creation split apart, succumbing to the patterns on his palms. Tumbling down into the Star River, they transformed into a miniature cosmos.
The deep grooves on the stone door, resembling blood channels, suddenly resonated with the lines in his palm. As the palm patterns expanded outward, the stone door rumbled, on the verge of swinging open.
"You should know, the moment I absorbed those blood-colored thunderbolts into my body, you stood no chance against me."
Creak!
The stone door was pried open by the force of Yu Yuan's palm print.
Upon closer inspection, he found another Blood Clone of Yuan Le, shrouded in a death aura, lying in a pool of blood at the center of the hall, encircled by both death and toxic laws.
The sound of birdsong emanated from the bones of Yuan Le's blood-drenched clone.
Chen Qinghuang was nowhere to be found in the hall!
Not only was she absent, but her death aura also permeated the deserted hall, entwining around the bone-white pillars, consuming the original flesh and blood that adorned them.
The interior of the hall bore a striking resemblance to the Crucible of Evil, with numerous grooves carved out.
Within each groove rested a vessel crafted from the bones of Beast Gods, each holding a drop of their lifeblood, intended to revive them post-mortem.
At that moment, the lifeblood in some of the Beast God vessels appeared to be contaminated with the death aura.
The sight before him signaled trouble to Yu Yuan. He refrained from entering the hall impulsively, choosing instead to linger at the stone doorway.
Could Yuan Le have been defeated?
Yu Yuan pondered in silence, his mood darkening as he considered the anomalies within the Beast God Temple.
Deep within the thick purple sea of demon energy, Zhiya, seated on her chair, spoke once more: "Primal Anima is a blend of energy, cosmic order, and spirit. The Primal Blood of this realm, hoarded within the Peak of Creation, is brimming with vital energy and encompasses all the rules tied to the lifeblood of this realm."
"Except for this moment, you would be unable to refine it as long as its spirit remains."
"Now, with its spirit submerged in that pool, unable to even make its descent, only the vast energy and the hidden cosmic order remain. This is your prime opportunity."
Zhiya continued her attempts to seduce Yuan Le.
Yuan Le, now in human form, halted before the open stone door through which Yu Yuan had passed. He watched Yu Yuan's retreating figure in silence, Zhiya's alluring words echoing in his ears.
He now understood that Yu Yuan, who had also received the realm's Secrets of Life and Primal Blood, was able to perceive the scenes within the hall.
In the hall, the images that were indistinct to Zhiya and the Light Spirit were clear to both Yu Yuan and him.
Yuan Le stood motionless, his expression dark.
"What's with the daze? Little Tree, the Direbear is on its last legs!"
The Light Spirit, from within the radiant celestial body, called out in distress.
"The Nine-layered Wall in the pool is sapping Little Tree's plant essence in exchange for the profound magic arts of the Great Way that Little Tree has grasped. If Little Tree can break free, as long as it survives, it can grow and evolve once more. Little Tree has also accessed the deeper plant truths concealed within the seal."
"…"
The Light Spirit explained that there was a trade-off between the Nine-layered Wall and the world's Primal Anima.
As a Primal Anima delved into the power of the wall, its spiritual sense would be ensnared, steadily depleting its energy and surrendering the cosmic order it had discerned.
In return, the Primal Anima sought to acquire the profound rules branded within the confines of the wall.
Should the Primal Anima manage to preserve its spiritual sense from extinction and escape the wall, it could integrate the acquired cosmic order into its being.
Take the Uxthar Tree, for instance; should it successfully reclaim its spiritual sense, even after expending ninety percent of its plant essence, it could still regrow and fortify itself by reassembling what was lost.
Moreover, the intricate plant essence it gained from the wall would aid in its genuine metamorphosis.
It could become a true plant spirit like the Tree of Life and might even advance to the status of a mid-level plant spirit.
The fear, however, is that if it fails to retrieve its spiritual sense, it would fade within the wall. All of its energy, cosmic order, and spiritual sense would then augment the wall's power.
"The mighty Demon God Bertain and Lin Daoke of the Sword Sect are also trapped within the wall. Yu Yuan, your main body that's confined has informed me that they have fallen from the vast expanse of darkness."
The Light Spirit spoke with a clear, crisp voice.
"Why don't you go and refine it?"
Yuan Le, with his back to the Dark Phoenix Zhiya, gazed at Yu Yuan's back. After the Light Spirit had elucidated the advantages and disadvantages, he posed a question in a suddenly deepened tone.
The black goat and the Ape from the Everlands were unsure to whom Yuan Le's question was directed.
The two Beast Gods reflected for a moment and realized that both Yu Yuan, with his Solar Spirit, and the Dark Phoenix Zhiya, who was equally versed in the Secrets of Life and Bloodline Revelation, were indeed qualified to seize the opportunity to refine the Primal Blood.
By exploiting the spiritual sense of the Primal Blood, while it was submerged in the nine-layered wall, they could claim its cosmic order and energy as their own!
For reasons unknown, after Yuan Le posed his question, the two Beast Gods, who were initially unclear about the intended recipient of his inquiry, suddenly sensed something.
Yuan Le's steadfast loyalty had begun to subtly shift.
