C2217 Panic of the Demon Phoenix

"It would be best if she dies. With no ruler in the Desolate Realm, you, Yu Yuan, are the rightful new king."

Mother Earth, who had been eyeing Zhiya with disapproval, seized the chance to stir up trouble.

She hovered over a floating meteorite, casually gesturing with her hands. In response, thousands of massive rocks began to shimmer, filling the starry galaxy around her.

In an instant, a miniature Creation Peak materialized.

This scaled-down version of Creation Peak, resembling a fortress built from giant stones, obstructed the essential route between the two divine halls and the sea of demonic energy, drawing even more meteors to it.

"Yu Yuan, regardless of your relationship with that girl, I advise you to stay out of it."

"Once she enters the Creation Pool with her flesh and blood body, her fate will be no different from the Demon Phoenix's."

"In fact, it might be even more tragic."

Mother Earth's voice was melodious yet laced with spite. "She lacks a deep understanding of the profound truths of life. Once inside, she likely won't have a chance to fight back."

Unaware of the depth of the bond between Yu Yuan and Yu Zhu in the Origin Realm, Mother Earth pressed on, "The Desolate Realm may be barren now, but that could change. After you refine the Origin Blood and fully unite the Desolate Realm, your power will surge once you assimilate the Beast Temple."

"With such strength, you'll be equipped to challenge him. Should he dare to enter the Desolate Realm, I will stand with you!"

With these words, Mother Earth, once devastated by Yu Yuan, made her position clear.

To confront their shared adversary, she was willing to ally with Yu Yuan in the Desolate Realm.

In her view, the deaths of the Demon Phoenix and Yu Zhu would be to Yu Yuan's sole advantage.

"The matters concerning her and me are not open to interference by anyone."

Yu Yuan's expression grew stern as he turned to face Mother Earth, "Just focus on guarding the Creation Pool. Leave the rest to me."

"I am not one of your soldiers!" Mother Earth retorted with fury.

"If you wish to ally with me, you must acknowledge my leadership!" Yu Yuan stated flatly. "Remember this: I will always be more powerful than you. Even your current form is a gift from me; you have no standing to negotiate with me."

He narrowed his eyes slightly, and a delicate blood-red light suddenly flashed within them, forming a symbol that seemed to encapsulate the true essence of life.

Mother Earth, who was poised to counter his argument, felt the life and blood energy within her body threaten to scatter at the very moment Yu Yuan's eyes revealed the strange talisman.

A chill ran through Mother Earth's heart as she recognized that Yu Yuan, having refined the Origin Blood, possessed the power to erase the life force from her body.

It appeared that if Yu Yuan harbored a single malevolent thought, her body would be forfeit.

Her body was perfectly suited for his spiritual consciousness, allowing him to manifest his power without the need for cumbersome creatures like the Earth Bear.

She was determined not to lose this unique vessel.

Thus, she hesitated, holding back her rebuttal, and chose silence instead.

"Don't go, Your Highness!" the Sky Tiger bellowed.

Whoosh!

Yu Zhu and the Phoenix Shrine instantly traversed a section of the galaxy, bypassing Yu Yuan and his arm, as well as the newly formed Creation Peak, and emerged steadily in the midair above it.

The Phoenix Shrine harbored a rich and potent spatial force, capable of traversing the void.

The shrine above Yu Zhu's head began to contract, as if she intended to grasp it in her hand before stepping into the Creation Pool.

Yu Yuan's face fell, taken aback by her arrival through the shrine's spatial breach. He commanded in a grave tone, "Wait! Don't go yet!"

The Demon Phoenix Zhiya, within the Creation Pool, seemed to detect their arrival. In the confines of the seal, her massive phoenix form began to shrink in a flurry of panic.

Zhiya transformed into her human shape in an instant and fiercely yelled towards the Phoenix Shrine, "You're not allowed in!"

Her pale hands were riddled with sword wounds, yet not a drop of blood was shed. However, fine cracks at the corners of her eyes betrayed a soul-deep injury that seemed to seep from her gaze.

Her cry was stifled, unheard.

Yet anyone observing her in that moment could discern her plea through the shape of her lips and her frantic demeanor: "Do not enter!"

"She can feel panic too?"

Mother Earth was taken aback.

The White Divine Tiger, the golden deer, and the host of Beast Gods and Demon Gods who had long pledged allegiance to the Demon Palace had never before witnessed such a flustered Demon Phoenix.

She had never imagined that the invincible Hall Master would show such a look of panic at the thought of Yu Zhu and the Phoenix Shrine entering the Creation Pool. Even when her wings were pierced amidst the onslaught of countless forces, her phoenix eyes only reflected a grave weight, never a hint of panic.

Sky Tiger had witnessed the great rift between humans and the Demon Race during the Vast Ocean Era. Even when Lin Daoke and Tan Xiaotian had banded together to fight her in the Outland Star River, she remained unflustered.

"It's because of Yu Zhu. She fears that Yu Zhu might die."

Sky Tiger grasped the Demon Phoenix's concerns.

Thus, the White Divine Tiger, renowned throughout the Origin Realm for its lethal prowess, opened its mouth and released a straight spear enveloped in endless murderous aura, breaking through the void's seal.

The Sky Tiger's face turned ashen as innumerable skeletons surfaced within the depths of his white Demonic Eye. The suppressed killing force within him transformed into ghostly white arcs of lightning, erupting from his Demonic Eye and resonating with a corner of the Phoenix Shrine's eaves.

With a swift motion, Sky Tiger and the spear defied Yu Yuan's blood constraints and shattered the barriers erected by Mother Earth, alighting upon the Phoenix Shrine's roof.

As Yu Zhu's soul and body began to part, Sky Tiger called out, "Hall Master, stay calm!" A white cloud burst forth from his chest, enveloping Yu Zhu and restraining her from unleashing her full might.

A luminous green sea of souls and a majestic river of golden blood materialized in Yu Zhu's eyes. Deep within that sea, flickers of soul light shimmered, hinting at buried memories of great depth.

Yu Yuan felt a sudden awakening. Gazing upon those flickering memories, he experienced a profound familiarity, as if his very soul's imprint lay within their deepest recesses.

His entire being vibrated as he tapped into the power of the eight-tiered Soul Altar within his true form. A green divine eye emerged on his forehead, casting forth a dazzling divine radiance.

He harnessed only the authority of the green jade tier, directing a beam of green light, forged from the purest soul energy, onto the verdant sea within Yu Zhu's gaze, pinpointing a single light of memory.

Into his soul poured knowledge—arcane and enigmatic.

Yu Yuan's Yang God form, as well as his true form in the distant Gal Starfield, trembled simultaneously. His face was a mask of astonishment, his eyes wide with incredulity as if he had witnessed something utterly bizarre.

Within that glimmer of memory, the knowledge that emerged was astonishingly connected to the Chaos Djinn! Yu Yuan was profoundly shaken by the realization that the knowledge within that flicker of memory—and perhaps even more memories that Yu Zhu had yet to unravel—seemed to originate from him. They were fragments of his own forgotten past!

The Chaos Djinn!

Involuntarily, his gaze returned to the deep purple sea of Demon Energy, trying to sense the elusive young Chaos Djinn concealed within. It appeared that the Demon Phoenix's understanding of the formidable Chaos Djinn stemmed from the memories in Yu Zhu's mind!

And the soul imprint within Yu Zhu's mind? That too had its origins in him!

Suddenly, he recalled Andrea's words. The Great Demon God Beilstein had parted with a fragment of his own soul to create his daughter, Andrea, endowing her with the innate ability to master numerous enigmatic Soul Arts.

Following her metamorphosis, Yu Zhu had the power to transform into a purple phoenix, identical to Zhiya. Having purified her soul at the source of the vast Yin Meridians, Yu Zhu had grasped the profound truths of the origin soul, which manifested as the Grim River in her consciousness.

But the question remained: where did that luminous azure soul sea come from?

With this thought, Yu Yuan's expression grew more somber. He knew he needed an answer, and it seemed that only Zhiya, the Demon Phoenix, could provide it.

"Stay here. I'm going in to bring her out," Yu Yuan said, taking a deep breath. With a dismissive wave of his hand, he signaled to the Sky Tiger to escort Yu Zhu and the Phoenix Shrine away.

The Sky Tiger was taken aback. "You're going in? You're getting involved and planning to rescue the Hall Master?"

Surrounded by a swirl of white clouds and previously glaring at the Sky Tiger, Yu Zhu miraculously calmed down at his words.

Yu Zhu bit her lip, looking at him with an expression of unspoken words.

"Go back!" Yu Yuan commanded sternly.

"Oh," the slender girl murmured, visibly relieved. She obediently flew down to the Phoenix Shrine, taking her place beside the Sky Tiger on the rooftop.

"He will bring Mother out," Yu Zhu assured the Sky Tiger with a serious yet confident expression. "Don't worry, Mother will be fine. He's certain to succeed."

"Do you truly trust him that much?" Sky Tiger asked, his face stern.

Yu Zhu nodded, her voice barely above a whisper, "I do trust him! I will always trust him, even more than I trust my own mother!"
