C2256 The Primal Vitality That Was about to Die

The Genesis Continent, which had settled atop the dome of the sky, sank through the wall into the seal, gradually vanishing before their eyes.

This realm was immensely vast, dwarfing the Everlands by an immeasurable factor. To Qi Yunhong and Yu Yiyi, it now appeared slightly menacing.

Mountains on the land began to rise sharply, like steep peaks reaching for the heavens, exuding an aura of sharpness and ferocity.

It resembled an ancient dire beast, roused from a deep slumber, seemingly poised for a bloody hunt.

In a brief span, nearly a third of the Genesis Continent had disappeared. The cavern that housed the Evil Temple suddenly burst forth with an eerie light that sent shivers down the spines of Yu Yiyi and Qi Yunhong.

The light, a greenish-black hue, stood like a colossal pillar, erect at the mouth of the dark cave.

Within the enigmatic greenish-black light, a vivid image emerged.

Countless ghosts followed murky, blood-red rivers into an immense, funnel-shaped vortex.

The vortex's tip pointed downward, and the cleansed spiritual sense of the ghosts flowed towards an opening.

From this deep opening, a greenish-black light burst forth like a column.

The image within the column of light depicted the very cave and column itself!

"The Wraithlands! That's the Wraithlands!" Yu Yiyi exclaimed in alarm.

"The Wraithlands?" echoed Qi Yunhong, equally astonished.

The branches of the massive Tree of Life shook violently, and lightning crackled within its trunk.

Upon hearing Yu Yiyi reveal the Wraithlands and seeing the path of the ghosts, the Thunder Spirit and plant spirit suddenly understood what was unfolding.

"He has invaded the Wraithlands, using the Genesis Continent to erode the Primal Vitality! What you're seeing in the light column is actually happening in the Wraithlands! There, the Primal Vitality is concealed deep within the Crucible of Rebirth, which takes the form of this funnel vortex!"

The plant spirit was profoundly shaken, suspecting that another of its kind was on the brink of being utterly consumed by Him.

Yu Yiyi and Qi Yunhong stood petrified, unable to grasp the spectacle before them or comprehend why the Primal Soul's contamination of the Wraithlands and its consumption of the Primal Vitality necessitated the Genesis Continent's complicity.

However, very quickly, only a third of the Genesis Continent remained, still under seal. The deep chasms and the majority of the land appeared to vanish into another dimension. Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Suddenly, a chilling Soul Power began to drift from the remaining third of the Genesis Continent. This energy, marked by the traits of the Wraithlands and its ghosts, ascended directly into the dark depths above. The eternal darkness, situated between the seven layers of the Abyss and the Abyss of Truth, was suddenly infused with a new type of Soul Power created by the death of ghosts from the Wraithlands. This seemed to signify that it was rapidly assimilating the Primal Vitality of the Wraithlands, seizing the power it had long coveted.

"The vast Primal Soul of the Everlands and the Primal Vitality of the Wraithlands, both akin to the soul and both high-tier Primal Animas, have been consumed by Him." The withering yellow leaves of the Tree of Life now seemed to carry an air of profound desolation.

"The All Spirits Ban."

After an extensive period of contemplation, Green Willow had finally etched all the secrets of the Way of Heaven related to water into the Demon Heart, embedding them into his skeletal form and flesh. Within the All Spirits Ban, Green Willow's serpentine form was surrounded by brilliant celestial rivers. He continued to harness the robust water essence within the seal, transforming it into more heavenly rivers to refine his body. The All Spirits Ban had once ravaged the cosmic energy of the Wasteland's Astral Domain, resulting in a renewed surge of pure power of water within the seal. Green Willow was now drawing upon this power of water, intent on bolstering his combat strength as much as possible before breaking the seal.

Suddenly, Bertain, trapped within the seal and unable to leave, witnessed the emergence of a green, ghostly flame. At the sight of the flame, Bertain's expression shifted dramatically. Behind the eerie green flame, the indistinct phantom of a stooped old crone began to materialize. The ghostly flame transformed into a green lantern, now carried in the hands of the hunched old woman. Her face was not truly visible; as her phantom flickered into existence, it was already beginning to fade, exuding an overwhelming sense of sorrow and desolation. The lantern-bearing crone appeared mysteriously, drifting through the void as if searching for something. Her phantom grew fainter and fainter, and it seemed that with the passage of time, she would soon vanish into nothingness.

The eerie spectacle sent shivers down the spines of Lin Daoke, Ballo, the Astral Tiger, and the other Beast Gods in front of the Beast God Temple.

Boom!

She suddenly lifted the lantern and charged at the All Spirits Ban with full force, attempting to shatter the seal and escape.

Divine light and ripples emerged in the area she assaulted, with the elements of metal, wood, water, fire, earth, and the celestial bodies of the sun, moon, and stars, along with ice and lightning, converging on her point of impact.

The All Spirits Ban shook violently, her impact astoundingly powerful.

A fading phantom and a lantern managed to exert more force on the All Spirits Ban than the Beast God Temple seized by Bertain, the Phoenix Shrine, and even the combined efforts of those before.

Yu Yuan's spirit was jolted as he peered from within the lantern.

He recognized the presence.

"The lingering will of the Primal Vitality, carrying the essence of its soul, had broken through from the Wraithlands to this place. Knowing it was nearing its end, it sought to pass the lantern in its grasp to Youyu."

Bertain let out a sigh.

Inside the lantern was the most precious Mind Magic of the Primal Vitality, which Youyu had not yet mastered, a part intentionally preserved by the Primal Vitality itself.

The will of the Primal Vitality, now in the guise of an old crone, brought with it an air of mutual destruction, prompting a wry smile from Bertain.

Bertain felt a nagging desire; he had wanted to try and collect it but was deterred by the still-persistent phantom.

"Why not let me merge with it? You can't escape anyway. Once the Primal Soul in the Wraithlands dissolves your original form, it will still pursue and refine what's left of you. Your fate is sealed."

Bertain spoke soothingly, hoping to curry favor with the Primal Vitality and obtain the green lantern.

Regrettably, the eerie green flames paid no heed to his entreaties.

"Take a look at me; I'm also present."

Yu Yuan, seated upon the multicolored flesh, suddenly called out to the ghost fire and waved his hand, trying to catch the Primal Vitality's attention.

With a mere thought, the eight-tiered Soul Altar drifted out from his brow.

On the sixth level of the Soul Altar, the presence of the green lantern and the Primal Vitality immediately resonated with each other.

The old crone, with great reluctance, ceased her assault on the seal and looked towards him with a sense of helplessness.

It was clear that as soon as the old crone had entered the seal, she was aware of his presence; she simply chose not to engage with him.

She had crafted the Undead Sovereign's form for him, which he had failed to protect. When he succumbed to the Heart of the Everlands, his body was usurped by the Primal Soul.

In the old crone's view, he had squandered her nurturing efforts and was no longer deserving of her investment.

"I promise to assist Youyu to the best of my ability, to facilitate the transformation of the Root of the Lunar Meridian within the soul stone. The items you've given me today, I vow to return to you in the future."

Yu Yuan pledged with solemnity.

Upon hearing his vow, the old crone's fading visage gave a slight nod.

She then hurled the green lantern she held towards Yu Yuan.

With no better options available, the lantern, bearing the deepest secrets of Spirit Magic from the Primal Vitality, inevitably made its way to Yu Yuan.

Whoosh!

The green lantern crossed the seal effortlessly and reached the enigmatic flesh.

The Dark Phoenix had long pursued the Beast God, whose flesh it would consume upon entry, showing no interest in the profound essence of the soul left behind by the Primal Vitality.

Unhindered, the green lantern entered the sixth level of Yu Yuan's Soul Altar.

A vast expanse of knowledge and the more profound arcane of the Undead were instantly etched into the recesses of Yu Yuan's memory, requiring no decryption.

He simply needed to receive it.

...

In the Creitecesh.

After a devil soul of the Great Demon God Bertain entered Yu Yuan's Undead Sovereign form, neither Yu Zhu nor Youyu, both adept in Mind Magic, could discern the condition within his body.

Yu Yuan's mind was a blur.

Upon awakening, Arthurs, situated at the Spring of Death, caressed the soul stone with a Soul Hand.

A newly conscious Root of the Lunar Meridian within the stone unexpectedly initiated contact with Arthurs.

A discreet remnant soul stirred only within the confines of the soul stone.

Arthurs paused, his interest piqued once he verified it was the Root of the Lunar Meridian. He quietly engaged in conversation, "Wait here, I'll go seek guidance."

The Root of the Lunar Meridian within the soul stone remained utterly still. As the Great Demon God Bertain aided Yu Yuan's awakening, Arthurs held the soul stone, which facilitated a clandestine exchange between the Root of the Lunar Meridian and the Death God across the divide. Arthurs inquired whether the Underworld had fertile ground conducive to its growth.

It was aware of the disturbances in the Wraithlands of the Origin Realm. The entity was impatient; it could not endure the lengthy wait for the Wasteland to evolve into a world suitable for its rapid development. Given the presence of a formidable being like Kurkova, the Underworld emerged as a promising alternative.
