C2337 The Primal Beast Returned Home
In the Wasteland, within the Creitecesh Astral Domain, the Primal Soul of the Abyss, having reformed the Evil Temple into a demonform, met its demise under the combined assault of Demon God Bertain and three deities from the Otherworld. The two wandering souls that arrived were swiftly drawn into the Dragon Bone Staff by Bertain.
"You, too, have met your end," the big devil muttered, gazing at the tempest of lightning within the Dragon Bone Staff. "You slaughtered the innocent in the Void Domain and the Underworld, causing the true Abyss to wither. You've inflicted so much suffering upon the Otherkin of the Origin Realm; now you'll know what it's like to be sacrificed."
Tiny spheres of lightning burst within the luminous wand, eroding his spiritual sense. The big devil's remnant soul and power, once rooted in the dragon bone, along with his fragmented memories and the intricate Spirit Magic he had mastered, were now being consumed by the big devil.
At that moment, the Space God Devitt commanded, "Prepare to depart." With a resounding boom, he lifted the Celestial Imprisonment, reconnecting the drained Creitecesh with the Wasteland.
"I must take my leave," the big devil announced, clutching the Dragon Bone Staff. With a grin, he called out to Yu Yuan, "I trust we'll meet again soon in the Origin Realm." With those parting words, he, along with Devitt, Harris, and Kurkova, set off towards the Genesis Continent.
From his vantage point atop the Dragon Slaying Stage, Yu Yuan's Undead Sovereign form watched them disappear into the distance. He then turned his attention to the devastating battlefield, observing the countless meteorites that had erupted and now clogged the void of the Creitecesh.
Yu Yuan's brow furrowed, and after a lengthy silence, he too departed from the Dragon Slaying Stage. Shortly thereafter, he settled at the site of the thirty-six Maws of Oblivion, alongside his Solar Spirit Body.
The vast, dark star-like pupil, now devoid of any spiritual sense or remnant soul, remained. The Dark Anima had vanished without a trace, and the myriad ghosts and devils that once floated in the depths of the eye had also faded into obscurity.
The eye persisted, yet all phenomena and energies associated with it had vanished. The only thing that remained was the All Spirits Ban, still brilliantly intact, continuing to defend instinctively against an unseen threat.
"Over at the Creitecesh?" Taishi, a fellow God-King, couldn't help but inquire as the Dragon Slaying Stage materialized beside the Wellspring of Creation.
The four Primal Animas immediately focused their attention on the Undead Sovereign, eager to learn whether the three deities from the Otherworld had managed to deal with his two avatars.
"The demonform he re-crafted shattered in the Creitecesh, and Jihui's body perished alongside it," Yu Yuan stated flatly from atop the Dragon Slaying Stage. "Teacher, the three Otherworldly Gods have now made their advance towards the Genesis Continent."
"Good riddance," Ballo, who loathed the Primal Soul deeply, remarked with a cold, gratified snort, hoping for the Primal Soul's utter annihilation.
In contrast, the four Primal Animas, who had been anticipating the Primal Soul's downfall, were struck with a pang of sorrow upon hearing of the events in the Creitecesh.
The Primal Soul was, after all, one of their own kind and the mightiest among them.
With both of its avatars destroyed by the big devil and the gods from the Otherworld, they couldn't help but worry about their own eventual fate.
Anxious about their future, the Primal Animas were reluctant to receive any more news of the Primal Soul's defeats, especially since this formidable peer had once driven them to flee to the Wasteland and was now the bearer of their hopes.
Suddenly, an anomaly emerged from one of the springs connected to the extraterrestrial realm.
The Maw of Oblivion, which enveloped the spring, had significantly weakened due to the absence of the Maw of Oblivion and Yu Yuan's real body delving deeper into the Otherworld, nearly relinquishing its control over the spring.
"That's not the spring the dire beast and Yu Yuan's real body entered!" Loong Jie perked up, licking his lips with a savage glint in his eyes. "Hey, it must mean a new deity from the Otherworld is about to arrive from the other side!"
"Let them come," Yuan Lianyao declared, her fighting spirit surging. With a mere thought, a series of fiery Mountains of Flames materialized behind her, her eyes sparkling with determination. "The gods of the Otherworld aren't as formidable as they seem. We're more than capable of handling them!"
"Since the Demon God Bertain can command the elements in the Otherworld, what do we have to fear?" Taishi was bolstering the spirits of those around him.
The four Primal Animas fixed their gaze on the unfamiliar spring, now certain that neither the little Primal Beast nor Yu Yuan's real body had entered it.
The two Yu Yuans remaining here, unable to establish a connection with their real body, were cautiously on guard, observing every movement of the spring.
Suddenly, a burst of rainbow light surged from the depths of the spring, revealing a power that Loong Jie recognized.
"Rainbow Sage!"
In his surprised delight, Loong Jie watched as Yu Yuan and Zhong Chichen leaped out of the spring one after the other.
Upon the arrival of Yu Yuan's real body, his Solar Spirit and the Undead Sovereign's body instantly connected with the dominant soul, exchanging information seamlessly.
The Solar Spirit and the Undead Sovereign's body were immediately informed of his adventures in the Otherworld, including the successful subjugation of three formidable dire beasts.
Wails and howls followed as three enormous creatures from the Otherworld began to materialize in their shrunken forms.
A malevolent and violent aura, unleashed from the spring that Zhong Chichen had ripped open with the Book of Time, altered the expressions of the four Primal Animas. Even Loong Jie, Green Willow, and other supreme beings felt a shiver run through them.
The dire beasts, having reduced their size manifold to traverse the spring, radiated a terror-inducing vital energy that surpassed even that of the little Primal Beast.
Not even the former Lord of Ruin, Yuan Le, the Direbear, or the Old Ape of the Everlands could match this intensity.
"The Titan Spinosaurus reigns supreme at this level!"
The Thunder Spirit, inhabiting Qi Yunhong's body, cast a deep look at the three dire beasts and instinctively moved closer to the Tree of Life, drawing near to its source within.
The four Primal Animas braced themselves as if facing a formidable foe.
"Don't be nervous," Yu Yuan, standing by the Wellspring of Creation, reassured them with a slight smile.
Then they watched as the Gluttony God Chai En, the Wendigo, and the Malformed Horror, all grumbling about the cramped passage of the spring, returned to their original towering statures.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Three colossal dire beasts from the Otherworld materialized, their true forms emerging one by one, dwarfing even the green-black pupils of their eyes. Behind them, thirty-six "Maw of Oblivion" loomed like mud pellets.
"The scent of flesh within the mixed cosmic energy is quite rich. Not bad at all."
Wendigo inhaled deeply, drawing in the turbulent and chaotic energy of the Abyss like a giant whale gulping water, savoring the taste.
Howl!
The Gluttony God, Chai En, let out a frenzied roar. His eyes beheld the expanse of colorful flesh that nearly spanned an entire Astral Domain.
There, amidst the vast expanse of flesh, was a dire beast that bore an uncanny resemblance to him!
Chai En's blood surged, his heart pounding with a primal rhythm. A natural kinship blossomed within him as he exclaimed, "My ancestor!"
Ignoring the others, the Gluttony God who had just returned from the Otherworld lunged toward the multicolored flesh.
His massive form, larger even than that of the Little Primal Beast, settled onto the flesh, evoking a sense of homecoming.
A Gluttony, manifesting within the flesh, merged with him as if it were an ancient totem and blood source.
Hiss! Hiss!
In the heart of the Gluttony God, a multitude of dense bloodline chains appeared, along with numerous arcane bloodline mysteries etched into his heart, bestowing upon him a power he had never before experienced.
The integration of the Gluttony totem and the return of the ancestral blood caused the Gluttony God's strength to surge dramatically.
"We, we..."
Both the Malformed Horror and Wendigo sensed something extraordinary within their beast hearts. Compelled as if by an unseen guide, they too descended upon the vibrant flesh, following in the footsteps of the Gluttony God, Chai En.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
From beneath them, mysterious blood lights surged from the jade-like flesh.
The streams of blood light burrowed into their beast hearts, transforming into new bloodline chains and imprinting upon them the ultimate truths of the Way of Heaven—truths they were destined to master but had yet to awaken.
The three Otherworld deities, having just arrived in the Wasteland alongside Yu Yuan's real body, stumbled upon an extraordinary adventure.
Some lay upon the flesh, others squatted, all basking in the grace of their origins, as scattered memories flickered through their minds.
In the depths of an ancient world, they glimpsed beings like themselves soaring through the skies. The Gluttony, Malformed Horror, and Wendigo they beheld seemed akin to their forebears, yet also reflections of their own essence. The realization was inescapable.
Yet, they could sense an undeniable empowerment within themselves, a strengthening tied to the Bloodline Revelation that was uniquely theirs.
