C2345 It Was Erratic
In the Ashlands, Yu Yuan stood before the Heart of the Everlands, transforming the Dragon Slaying Stage into a towering blade that cleaved through the sky towards the fourth All Spirits Ban. A cacophony of magic arts crackled with the fury of lightning and thunder, striking at the layered walls of the All Spirits Ban.
The solid ground of the Everlands trembled, unable to bear the force of the assault, shaking as if in the throes of an earthquake. Whoosh! The bright surface of the All Spirits Ban shimmered with an array of magic arts, conjuring images of the sun, moon, stars, celestial rivers, seas of fire, Gold Mountain, and glaciers.
"Heh!" Yu Yuan chuckled darkly as his Soul Altar, towering ten levels high, emerged from his brow and took its place above his head. With the appearance of his Soul Altar, corresponding elements of the sun, moon, stars, thunder, ice, earth, and vegetation materialized, mirroring the magic arts and true essence of the All Spirits Ban. At first glance, there was hardly any discernible difference between them.
Zhiya and Lin Daoke, witnessing the emergence of the Soul Altar, noticed the light from the All Spirits Ban's surface fade significantly. They instantly understood that Yu Yuan's Soul Altar was exerting a suppressive force against it.
Yu Yuan, too, could feel that the fourth All Spirits Ban stood no chance against his Soul Altar, especially before the other bans could unite. The radiance emanating from his Soul Altar, along with the intricate laws displayed on its tiers, was steadily dismantling the All Spirits Ban. This disruption caused the magic arts within the Dragon Slaying Stage's walls to falter, unable to maintain their form for long. With a whoosh, the freshly condensed nomological images within the seal collapsed.
Within the fourth Abyss, the All Spirits Ban still harbored considerable energy, continuing to absorb the cosmic energy of the Ashlands and transforming various types of power. It encompassed the ultimate laws of the sun, moon, stars, metal, wood, water, fire, earth, thunder, ice, and numerous Primal Anima. Yet, due to the overpowering influence and neutralization by Yu Yuan's Soul Altar, the All Spirits Ban's copious energy and intricate laws failed to synergize effectively.
Yu Yuan's mind steadied, a calm resolve settling in.
He was aware that unless the Primal Soul swiftly rallied additional All Spirits Bans and fused the three from the Wasteland and Genesis Continent, the current fourth All Spirits Ban would be ineffective in containing him.
With a covert surge of strength, the slender, blade-like Dragon Slaying Stage finally breached the All Spirits Ban, penetrating its seal.
The tip of the Dragon Slaying Stage grazed the Heart of the Everlands, resembling a massive crystal orb.
Whoosh!
In an instant, Yu Yuan's real body appeared at the tip of the Dragon Slaying Stage, directly before the Heart of the Everlands.
Meanwhile, his Soul Altar remained outside the All Spirits Ban, along with the opposite end of the Dragon Slaying Stage.
This strategic positioning was to thwart any desperate move by the Primal Soul to instantly call forth the remaining All Spirits Bans.
"This return marks a new chapter; it shall be entirely different."
Yu Yuan gently laid his hands on the translucent Heart of the Everlands, channeling the life force from his heart into a deep connection with the Heart.
In his eyes, a myriad of blood-red secrets emerged, twinkling like stars linked by lightning.
Inside the Heart of the Everlands, the once dormant and lifeless blood veins began to pulse with vigor, awakened by his life force.
At the nape of Yu Yuan's neck, the deep crimson Wheel of Life materialized, spinning softly.
The colossal Heart of the Everlands, under the influence of the Wheel of Life, began to fracture, breaking into countless shimmering shards.
The Primal Soul, once concealed within the Heart, was now laid bare before Yu Yuan.
"You've grown more vigilant and astute. You've certainly progressed."
The specter within the dark blue soul sea, sensing danger, cast a cold glance at Yu Yuan.
Whoosh!
The specter plunged into the dark blue soul sea, and just as Yu Yuan was poised to strike, the specter and the sea were swiftly shrouded by a new All Spirits Ban.
The fourth All Spirits Ban, cleaved by the Dragon Slaying Stage, was drawn back over the fragmented Heart of the Everlands by its own power.
This diminished All Spirits Ban also ensnared a ball of fierce flame before vanishing in a burst of thunderous lightning.
Crack! Crack!
The scattered crystal fragments, under Yu Yuan's command, reassembled into a crystal sphere, encasing a pond brimming with primal essence.
Above the pond, the enigmatic soul sea of green and black, the All Spirits Ban, and the fireball symbolizing the Blazing Fire had long since departed.
"Even this managed to escape."
In the newly shattered Heart of the Everlands, Yu Yuan had already imprinted his blood mark, claiming it as his own.
The Heart of the Everlands, crafted from the heart of a Titan Spinosaurus and fine gold, was now unmistakably under Yu Yuan's control.
Yet, a significant portion of the Primal Soul from the Abyss had slipped away, causing Yu Yuan to furrow his brow, devoid of any sense of victory.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
With the Blazing Fire and Earthfire gone, the Earthfire transformed into clusters of fire clouds and intense meteors, spilling beyond the Everlands.
The Everlands were rocked by a massive earthquake. Numerous mountains and rivers collapsed, and the rules that pervaded the Everlands began to disintegrate with his absence.
Yu Yuan's real body, within the Heart of the Everlands that had healed after fracturing, surveyed the pond.
Then, he turned his attention to sense the shifts in the Wasteland.
He quickly realized that his counterpart in the Wasteland was still bombarding the All Spirits Ban through the Peak of Creation and the Wellspring of Creation, depleting its power.
His green-black eyes showed no sign of the soul sea or new Primal Souls.
"Genesis Continent!"
Yu Yuan instantly understood that the Primal Soul that had vanished from the Heart of the Everlands, along with the soul sea that signified its origin, had migrated to the Genesis Continent.
...
On the Genesis Continent, the corporeal form of the Demon God, nearly identical to Yu Yuan, was locked in a fierce battle with Bertain, the Demon God wielding numerous Divine Artifacts amidst profound darkness.
Gigantic soul whirlpools morphed into terrifying "Maws of Oblivion," shredding the arcane secrets within the Dragon Bone Staff.
The thirty-six "Maws of Oblivion" behind him served as an endless wellspring of power, causing Harris, Kurkova, and Devitt to struggle immensely.
With his corporeal body, the Demon God became nearly impervious to attack, effortlessly deflecting the big devil's lethal onslaught.
Powers and intricate rules like lightning, ice, and space, deadly to souls, could no longer harm him. He defended against them with ease.
Suddenly, the Demon God, having merged the Primal Soul, Primal Vitality, and Primal Blood into one, furrowed his brow.
*Whoosh!*
A resplendent All Spirits Ban, cloaked in a greenish-black soul sea, silently emerged from the darkness.
The dark green soul sea vanished into the depths of his forehead, merging seamlessly with his expansive brain.
As this magnificent All Spirits Ban coalesced at the space between Devitt's eyebrows, it transformed into a vast net that ensnared the Space God.
In the instant Devitt was captured by the net, the Demon God, possessing a corporeal body, was also ensnared within the web of light.
With a swift motion, his hand plunged from above into Devitt's skull, and with a gentle tug, he extracted all of Devitt's flesh and blood.
Devitt, the Space God, was reduced to a mere skin, caught by the immense net formed by the All Spirits Ban.
Devitt's flesh, blood, bones, and soul were all drained in an instant.
The events unfolded too swiftly, his power surging with such ferocity that Bertain was caught off guard, and Devitt met his demise.
He let out a cold snort, emotionlessly stowing away the pitch-black crystal. Then, he collected the various peculiar crystals he had released back into his palm.
The darkness of this world, along with its vast Soul Power and the All Spirits Ban, all converged into his being.
His presence swelled with unchecked intensity!
The big devil, the God of Oblivion, and the Death God all sensed an ominous turn. At this moment, thoughts of avenging Devitt were far from their minds.
"I will come for you again."
With these words, he vanished from the sight of the big devil and the rest.
It was only after a considerable time had passed that Bertain and the others realized they were still beneath the Genesis Continent, in a barren cavern.
Yet, the cavern was devoid of everything.
Absent were Devitt, the Dark Anima, the expansive World of Darkness, and the enigmatic crystals.
The All Spirits Ban had also vanished without a trace.
"Where has he gone?"
The God of Oblivion paused, then suddenly shrieked, "Everlands! He must have gone to the Everlands!"
"My brother... is he truly gone?"
Kurkova gazed at the discarded skin, feeling no vestige of Devitt's presence. She inquired, "Lord Bertain, is there any hope of finding my brother's soul? Does any part of him remain?"
Bertain shook his head solemnly.
