C2374 The Spirit of Fate!

"You're not Stephanie at all."

In the midst of the Primal Beast's piercing scream, Yu Yuan's face darkened as he exposed the true identity of the individual before him.

"Oh."

Stephanie responded coolly, then lifted her amethyst wand and thrust it downward.

Crack!

The skull of the small Primal Beast, as tough as divine iron, shattered into large fragments. When it heard Yu Yuan's stern call, a divine light flickered in its blood-red pupils.

It remained silent, its murky blood-red eyes fixed on Yu Yuan.

It displayed its agony, hoping to elicit Yu Yuan's compassion.

"You're not being truthful."

"Stephanie" let out a soft laugh as the amethyst wand in her hand suddenly elongated, piercing through the Primal Beast's skull and out through its jaw.

The small Primal Beast's body instantly seized up, unable to even emit a pitiful howl.

This formidable creature, once feared in the Origin Realm and the Wasteland, was now at the mercy of "Stephanie," a sight too ghastly to witness, unable to flee or even cry out.

"The Genesis Nebula has greatly amplified your power, and you've even managed to revive and seize control of this body!" Yu Yuan moved past everyone and positioned himself at the forefront of the Book of Time, confronting the God of Destiny who, wielding the amethyst wand, had skewered the Primal Beast's skull.

"What exactly are you planning?"

Yu Yuan let out a cold huff.

Boom!

Behind Yu Yuan, the Wheel of Life materialized, spinning into action and drawing upon the lifeblood of all beings to draw the pitiful Primal Beast closer to him.

"She's not Stephanie?" The God of Time, Heesters, was taken aback.

A moment later, Heesters came to a chilling realization, "Has she too been overtaken by the Primal Anima?!"

Zhong Chichen, Taishi, Youyu, and other supreme beings felt a tingling numbness upon hearing this, equally stunned by the revelation.

If even the leaders of the gods from the Otherworld had fallen to the Primal Anima, what hope remained for the other deities?

Prompted by Yu Yuan's words, the "Stephanie" who had been tormenting the little Primal Beast abruptly ceased her assault.

The small Primal Beast, now silent, also came to a halt.

The Primal Beast's once scarlet eyes were now brimming with blood. Its consciousness was hazy, and the scene before it was obscured.

Its world was awash in crimson.

It was consumed by remorse, regretting its impulsive foray into the Otherworld and its misplaced trust in Stephanie, which led to its current plight.

Deep within its mind, the amethyst wand, wielded by "Stephanie," hung like a sharp and towering Holy Mountain.

With the wand's presence, every flicker of thought was detected by "Stephanie," and no anomaly in its bloodline could elude her perception.

Having witnessed the formidable divine power of the Spirit of Fate after taking over Stephanie, it had resigned itself to its fate.

Had it not encountered Yu Yuan again and realized the terror of his two forms, it would never have dared to respond to Yu Yuan's inquiry or harbor any sliver of hope.

"What do I intend to do?"

In Stephanie's golden eyes, a mocking glint emerged as she addressed the dumbfounded Heesters, "Do you think a mere mortal body can rival the gods?"

The golden cape she wore was adorned with luminous, writhing threads of law, exuding an ancient and vast aura.

Her gaze fell upon the Wheel of Life in Yu Yuan's mind, and she shook her head gently.

With a resounding crash, the deep red light wheel, forged from Yu Yuan's life essence, shattered into nothingness.

"Your mortal body is somewhat lacking."

Stephanie's hand, still holding the amethyst wand through the Primal Beast's skull, spoke without panic, "The other two bodies you've left in the Origin Realm and the Wasteland would only merit my caution if they were to join us."

"But..." She lowered her gaze to the Primal Beast, which couldn't even muster a cry, and said, "You still have your uses to me. I didn't really intend to kill you just yet."

She swiftly withdrew the wand, and the Primal Beast's agonizing roars echoed intermittently once more.

"Lady Stephanie!"

Heesters, the God of Time, clutched the hourglass with both hands as divine power surged within him.

He endeavored to awaken the true God of Destiny within Stephanie, hoping that once she awoke, she would join him in vanquishing the Primal Anima before them.

"Heesters, there's no point in exerting yourself any further."

Stephanie, with an air of detachment, lifted her amethyst wand and aimed it at the God of Time. "Your survival is solely because the Spirit of Time within you departed upon entering the Domain of Origin. Had it not, you wouldn't have even had the opportunity to step into the Genesis Nebula; you would have been possessed a long time ago."

"Heh."

Before Heesters could respond, a scoff interrupted him. "What you refer to as refinement is merely a form of cultivation for the Primal Anima. By immersing themselves in the bodies of the supreme beings they've created, and deeply experiencing their emotions and desires, they gradually cultivate a profound spiritual wisdom."

"The Primal Anima, thus, acquires the seven emotions and six desires, no longer the cold embodiment of cosmic order."

"I've termed this process the essential metamorphosis of the Primal Anima into deities. I pioneered this method, which Stephanie has since widely disseminated. Those Primal Anima dwelling within the bodies of deities can awaken within the Domain of Origin. Some, more powerful, can awaken on their own strength even before entering the Domain of Origin."

While speaking, his gaze briefly met that of the Space God, Paxton.

It seemed as though a supremely powerful Spirit of Space had managed to complete its transformation prematurely through Paxton, whom it had created, and had awakened ahead of time.

He nonchalantly unveiled this most hidden of truths.

Heesters, upon hearing this, found his lips quivering, yet he was rendered speechless.

The method by which the beings of the Otherworld refine Primal Anima into the deities of various worlds was, in fact, an essential journey for the Primal Anima's ascension and transformation!

The Primal Anima, through this process, would integrate into the very flesh and soul of these deities, becoming a part of them and sharing in their joys and sorrows.

Ultimately, would the Primal Anima emerge from its chrysalis to ascend as a deity?

Heesters's most cherished beliefs, everything he had steadfastly clung to, seemed to crumble under the Spirit of Fate's few words, leaving him utterly disconsolate.

"Wuwu!"

As the amethyst wand was withdrawn, the little Primal Beast, its head riddled with bloody holes, continued to wail mournfully.

The Spirit of Fate, unhurried, allowed them the time to process this paradigm-shifting revelation.

After a moment, he turned to gaze at the star that lay behind him.

The golden cape draped over his form shimmered with many hues, as a formidable surge of space magic emanated from it.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Suddenly, beams brimming with immense space magic burst forth from the enchanted golden cape, infusing the numerous pores on the star's surface.

Once it entered the boundless void, the star, which had ceased to display miracles, was propelled backwards by his power.

Quickly, the star was drawn back into the outer reaches of the Genesis Nebula.

Upon entering the outer circle, space magic from the Genesis Nebula streamed into the star through the pores, and soon, numerous luminous openings revealed the tumultuous waves of void teleportation.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

A multitude of figures were abruptly pulled from the far end of the Genesis Nebula by this wondrous star.

Among them were the Moonborn Spirit that had possessed Canli, the Golden Spirit that had taken over Loong Jie, the Star Spirit that had claimed Ballo, the Water Spirit that had seized Green Willow, including the Fire Spirit that had inhabited Yuan Lianyao, and the Spirit of Calamity that had taken Dickinson.

The mighty beings, now vessels for the Primal Anima, emerged from the star's cavities, descending upon the gleaming star's surface.

Each Primal Anima, upon revealing itself in its new form, paid homage to the Spirit of Fate.

In that moment, Yu Yuan realized that the spirit which had possessed Ballo had been devoutly venerating the Spirit of Fate within the star, amidst the many refined starshards!

Subsequently, a host of unfamiliar deities from the Otherworld also emerged from the caves, alighting upon the star's silvery face.

"The God of Illusion, Lemon!"

"The God of Sorrow, Theresa!"

"The God of Celestial Melody, Zhu Di!"

Heesters involuntarily exclaimed the names of the deities he recognized.
