C2400 A Patch of the Star River Suddenly Appeared
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a greenish-black divine glow descended upon the little Primal Beast, which seemed like a lamb awaiting slaughter. In an instant, it was absorbed.
The little Primal Beast's eyes, red as rubies, flickered with confusion before swiftly regaining clarity.
"Primal Soul!"
Bertain exclaimed.
He saw it clearly: as the dark red blood orb merged into Yu Yuan's palm, the greenish-black light enveloping the blood orb made a beeline for the little Primal Beast.
When the Dragon Slaying Stage crumbled, the Primal Soul and the little Primal Beast were separated. The Primal Soul, encircled by the River of Swords, sought out the little Primal Beast once its physical form was destroyed.
In the moment it descended, it effortlessly refined the little Primal Beast, claiming the body crafted by the Spirit of Fate as its own.
"Not bad at all," it murmured indistinctly.
Then, it radiated a golden glow. The many ultimate truths infused by the Spirit of Fate swiftly connected with its spirit!
The little Primal Beast transformed, shedding its phoenix-like form for a towering human shape.
And it took on the likeness of Yu Yuan!
This incarnation of Yu Yuan, born from the little Primal Beast, was significantly taller than the previous one and continued to grow, second only to Yu Yuan's massive, multicolored form.
"I have returned," it stated, looking at Lin Daoke with a detached expression.
Lin Daoke, his face devoid of emotion, had just sheathed his sword.
He did not rush to draw his blade again, but instead watched the newly formed image of Yu Yuan, created by the Primal Soul through the body of the little Primal Beast, with an unsurprised gaze.
"It was always meant to be mine," declared the Primal Soul, icily.
The Primal Beast, fashioned by Zhiya under the guidance of the Spirit of Fate, was heavily dependent on its primal source during the early stages of its growth. The vast source from the Everlands originated from the intricate cosmic order of the Abyss and the brain matter of the Chaos Titan.
These were among the reasons for the little Primal Beast's exceptional and peculiar nature.
Subsequently, the little Primal Beast devoured Yuan Le, the Lord of Ruin, and slew the little spinosaurus.
Yuan Le and the little spinosaurus had each acquired the Primal Blood of the Origin Realm and the Primal Blood of the Wasteland, along with the essence of their lives and Bloodline Revelations.
Within the vast Everlands, there lay the brain matter of a Chaos Titan known as "Creation." The body of Creation harbored a portion of the Secrets of Life inherent in the Primal Blood of the Abyss.
The little Primal Beast was a flesh and blood anomaly, second only to Yu Yuan's vibrant, five-colored form!
How could the Primal Soul possibly overlook it?
"You didn't choose this little Primal Beast, and the Spirit of Fate failed to take hold within it."
After swiftly refining the little Primal Beast, the Primal Soul spoke with a casual tone, "Since it has fed on the origin essence of the Everlands that I refined, this little one has essentially been in my pocket all along. The Dark Phoenix, the Spirit of Fate, and the Light Spirit, all attempting to refine it into their own bodies, are merely the butt of a joke."
From the moment he set his sights on the little Primal Beast, it was destined to be his.
Above that star, he had signaled for the Spirit of Fate to begin the refinement process because he had imbued the little Primal Beast with his own power, ensuring he could instantly supplant the Spirit of Fate and refine the little Primal Beast whenever necessary.
He would not permit others to lay their hands on a creature that encompassed both the Primal Blood and the Secrets of Life of the three realms.
Lin Daoke, standing with his sword at the ready, listened to these words, his stoic face twitching ever so slightly.
Slowly, a myriad of emotions began to surface in his usually impassive eyes.
Fear, bloodlust, greed, destruction, and resentment—complex and bizarre emotions flickered through his gaze.
This Lin Daoke, once akin to a lofty deity, had now taken on the form of a human, complete with the seven emotions and six desires.
"The God of Fear Tu Yan, the Wendigo, the Gluttony God Chai En, the God of Destruction Galuba," Bertain, the Demon God, murmured to himself. "The Primal Animas that these deities have refined are in fact emotions that have been separated from the Origin. His seven emotions and six desires have transformed into distinct Primal Animas, dispersed across the thirty-six worlds of the Otherworld, where they have continued to grow in strength."
"Is such a thing even possible?" Tan Xiaotian exclaimed in astonishment.
Now, Lin Daoke, whose emotions had suddenly become rich and complex, stood with his sword, seemingly on a quest to reclaim those very feelings that were originally his, yet had been fragmented by him.
"For him, nothing is impossible," Bertain marveled.
In a flash, Lin Daoke reverted to his usual impassive demeanor, as if he had suppressed a whirlwind of complex emotions.
At this juncture, only Yu Yuan, representing blood, and the Primal Soul, representing the soul, remained around the Origin Realm. They were joined by Bertain, Tan Xiaotian, Chen Qinghuang, and Ji Ningshuang.
Lin Daoke's gaze finally moved from the Primal Soul to Yu Yuan.
Yu Yuan, with his vibrant, multicolored form, clutched the Dragon Slaying Stage. His towering stature was reminiscent of the very first creature at the dawn of creation, his features level with the Blood Crystal at the zenith of the Origin Realm.
His crystalline body shimmered with innumerable scarlet sparks, dancing like an endless stream of Life Seeds.
When the Solar Spirit and his primary form succumbed, Yu Yuan's immense life essence and limitless perception instantaneously spanned the myriad realms.
He had previously scoured each world, seeking flesh superior to that of the Primal Beast, swiftly passing over the bodies of formidable beings.
Now, such laborious efforts were unnecessary.
As his perception emerged, a blood-red canopy unfurled across the cosmos, shrouding every world in its expanse!
Any world teeming with life was, in an instant, enveloped under the blood-red canopy he conjured, its inhabitants reflected in his gaze and mind.
The fates of beings across the realms seemed to hinge on his singular will.
This dominion over life and death, a power befitting one who has achieved Great Perfection, was his to wield following the fusion with the Solar Spirit and his true self.
Whoosh!
Scene after scene unfolded, eight vivid images materializing before him.
He reminisced about his visits to the Origin Realm across the previous eight epochs, alongside the Primal Soul, where they witnessed the integration of Primal Anima into the fabric of the universe.
In these moments, the Origin Realm would select either a titan versed in the Spirit of Fate, a revolutionary proficient in the power of time, or a master of space magic, formidable and fearsome.
The Origin Realm would refine them, infusing a portion of the true essence of the Primal Anima within them. They relied on the Origin Realm and the All Spirits Ban to suppress both him and the Primal Soul.
Each time, he and the Primal Soul would be defeated and, after suffering severe injuries, would lose their self-awareness.
Devoid of their self-awareness, he and the Primal Soul would be pulled into the Origin Realm. He would land on the Bloodstone Pedestal, stripped of his foundational Primal Soul, which would then assimilate into the Soulstone Pedestal.
When he and the Primal Soul lost their consciousness and were overwhelmed by the Origin Realm, the realm would initiate its world-ending scheme.
The Origin Realm required the strength of both him and the Primal Soul, as well as the altar-like power of the Origin Realm itself.
It first aimed to unify all domains within the Domain of Origin and disperse a summoning magnetic field capable of enveloping the heavens, drawing all Primal Animas to be absorbed into the Origin Realm.
Only after this would Yu Yuan and the Primal Soul be stripped of their identities and dragged into the Origin Realm.
This was the established sequence of the Origin Realm's prior acts of destruction.
Upon grasping this sequence, Yu Yuan's diverse thoughts and the memories from the previous eight epochs began to merge and align in his mind as he sought a breakthrough.
Lin Daoke of the Ninth Era was nothing short of the Origin Realm's crowning achievement, surpassing the might of those refined by the realm before him!
Those previously refined by it were merely chosen executors, primarily adhering to the original Cosmic Order, complemented by a fraction of the Primal Anima that significantly enhanced the primary rule.
However, these individuals could not fully encompass all aspects. They were unable to embody the full spectrum of ultimate truths of the Primal Anima beyond blood and soul within the Origin Realm.
Lin Daoke was different.
He was not chosen by the Origin Realm; he was the unique creation of the Origin Realm itself—he was the Origin Realm!
The swordsmanship Lin Daoke mastered, with the sword formed from his primordial spirit, was capable of revealing the profound truths of all Primal Animas across the eight great epochs!
Lin Daoke was vastly superior to the so-called titans of the previous eight eras.
"In the Origin Realm, I can actually suppress Lin Daoke and the humans of the Everlands," Bertain, the old devil, muttered as he touched his nose, observing Lin Daoke swiftly quell his emotions and desires. "I must admit, I'm feeling a bit proud."
"So am I," Tan Xiaotian said with a forced laugh.
In the era of the Everlands, he and Lin Daoke had stood shoulder to shoulder against the Dark Phoenix Zhiya. They also had to unite to fend off the Demon God Bertain. Tan had always believed that he and Lin Daoke were on equal footing, with comparable combat strength.
Yet, who could have predicted that the reticent master of the Sword Sect would awaken his true self in the Domain of Origin and turn out to be the avatar of the Primal Anima's creator? The Primal Anima is the deity of all worlds, and the Domain of Origin is the birthplace of deities!
Now, with complex emotions and a taste of bitterness, everyone was reassessing Lin Daoke, the master of the Sword Sect, contemplating how to confront such a formidable being. Oddly enough, Lin Daoke refrained from drawing his sword again, as if he too was awaiting something.
Suddenly, a mysterious and peculiar Star River materialized before everyone. The elongated Star River, encompassing the Origin Realm, the Abyss, and the Wasteland, had swiftly traversed the cosmos to emerge before their eyes.
Yu Yuan looked at the Primal Soul with a curious intensity. He understood that it was the Primal Soul's power that had steered the Star River to the Domain of Origin.
"If he triumphs once more, the outcome will be no different from the past. Forget the three worlds within; all life in every other world will perish," the Primal Soul said with an icy demeanor. "The fates of all those inside rest on our shoulders. It's better for them to perish with understanding than to die in ignorance."
The once murky wall of the Star River suddenly glowed with a translucent brilliance. The Primal Soul, drawing upon the formidable energy from the exterior of the Genesis Nebula, purified the Star River's wall, sweeping away the murkiness within, and granting all beings within the Star River a view of the boundless void beyond.
Even figures like Bertain and Tan Xiaotian could glimpse the extraordinary visions within the Star River.
"Very well."
Yu Yuan nodded slowly, signaling his agreement with the approach.
Since all living beings were doomed, they deserved at least to die with clarity and purpose.
—That is, if he and the Primal Soul were to fail once more.
"It's Yu Yuan!"
"Look, there's a pyramid!"
"I saw the Sect Master!"
"..."
The sky turned translucent.
The supreme beings gathered in the Ashlands of the Origin Realm, those who had attained the Primordial Spirit Realm, beheld a majestic pyramid wrapped in dazzling divine light in the far reaches of the void.
This pyramid appeared eternal, as if it had been there since the dawn of chaos, leaving everyone in awe!
When Heesters, Loong Jie, Zhong Chichen, Yuan Lianyao, Ballo, and Green Willow witnessed the resplendent pyramid, they instantly recognized it as the Origin Realm.
They had learned from Yu Yuan that the Abyss, Origin Realm, and Wasteland formed a long cylindrical Star River, nestled deep within the boundless void—and it was the closest to the Land of Origin.
"That is the Land of Origin!"
Heesters, the God of Time, who had been cast into the Ashlands by the Primal Soul, inhaled deeply and exclaimed, "The Domain of Origin is the world's most enigmatic locale, the dominion of the Spirit of Creation, with the Land of Origin as its dwelling. Ancient legends tell us that the Primal Anima scattered across the world were all conceived in the Land of Origin!"
The revelation caused a stir among the crowd.
It was only after hearing from Heesters, Zhong Chichen, and others that beings like Taixu, Tianqi, and the Abyssal Leviathan, who were of formidable strength, became bewildered by the proximity of the Land of Origin.
"Why can we suddenly see it?"
Loong Jie asked, perplexed.
Zhong Chichen glanced at the Eiwrone, which continued to emit a powerful psionic power and resonate with the Star of Wonder in the Genesis Nebula, and said, "It has to be the Primal Soul! The immense energy pouring continuously from the outer ring of the Genesis Nebula is not only invigorating the Star River but also dissolving the barrier that obscured our view!"
He sensed that the grayish cylindrical barrier had become transparent due to the power of the Primal Soul!
Zhong Chichen, a master of space magic, detected unusual spatial fluctuations in the Ashlands of the Origin Realm, the Genesis Continent, as well as in the Wasteland and the Abyss. In these places of anomaly, an immeasurable amount of cosmic energy was being furiously channeled into the Genesis Nebula from the Domain of Origin.
