C295 Su Yan's Request!

Yu Yuan touched down with grace.

The resplendent ring of starlight that had accompanied his descent soared back into the heavens.

"Yu Yuan!"

A delighted shriek echoed once more.

As Yu Yuan neared the ground, he recognized the figure before him and couldn't help but remark, "Little Sister Su, what brings you here?"

He then turned to Su Xiangtian, offering a respectful bow. "It's an honor to meet you, Elder Su."

He found himself quite a distance from Wei Feng and Qin Yun, and similarly far from the mid-lake island.

This was the opposite end of the battlefield, where the Black Tusk Troops, the Silverfrost Dragon, and the stalwarts of the Thunder Sect and Cold Yin Sect were engaged in combat.

The area was a damp forest, home not only to the increasingly stunning Su Yan and Su Xiangtian but also to several unfamiliar faces.

Their attire suggested they hailed from the Taiyuan Sect of the Heavenly Source Continent.

The Taiyuan Sect, one of the seven lesser sects, ranked just below the Cold Yin Sect in stature.

Though neighbors, the Taiyuan Sect and the Cold Yin Sect were known for their discord, with their members often clashing.

Their disciples were no strangers to rivalry, engaging in both open and covert battles while journeying abroad.

The Taiyuan Sect enjoyed a commendable reputation across the vast expanse of the Boundless Land and was recognized as a truly upright and honorable sect.

Many of its practitioners ventured to the southern regions of the Quietus Continent, where they were met with high regard by the Medicine God Sect, the Artifact Sect, and the Babel Chamber of Commerce.

The Su family's father and daughter were in the company of individuals from the Taiyuan Sect.

A thought flickered through Yu Yuan's mind as he remembered that the pair had been absent for quite some time, with few within the Su family privy to their whereabouts.

"Did you just come down from the Fallen Star Eyes?"

An elderly man with snowy temples and a lively spirit inquired, his gaze fixed on Yu Yuan's remarkable presence.

"Fallen Star Eyes!" Su Xiangtian gasped, taken aback.

Su Yan murmured in awe, "Could it truly be the Fallen Star Eyes?"

"Indeed," Yu Yuan confirmed without hesitation.

"Xiao Yan, who is this gentleman?" The seasoned elder from the Taiyuan Sect inquired once more after Su Yan uttered Yu Yuan's name.

Just from his name, it was impossible to discern Yu Yuan's origins.

"Elder Yang, this is Yu Yuan from the Yu family in Darkmoon City of the Silvermoon Empire," Su Yan quickly introduced. "He's a very dear friend of mine."

Yang Yinquan uttered an "Oh," inwardly astonished.

He wondered how Yu Yuan had come to be in the Fallen Star Eyes and why he was delivered from the heavens by a circle of starlight.

Su Xiangtian and Su Yan had not gone into detail with the Taiyuan Sect about the events in the Fallen Moon Forbidden Area, so the sect was unaware of Yu Yuan's significance there.

Yet, Yang Yinquan was aware that Lau Ying, the current custodian of the Fallen Star Eyes, while seemingly approachable, was in fact quite indifferent and capricious.

Not just anyone could be invited to the Fallen Star Eyes.

Knowing Yu Yuan had come from there, he regarded him with newfound respect.

"Little Sister Su, what brings you here?" inquired Yu Yuan.

Three centuries prior, the vast, desolate land to the north of Elfview Town, bordering the Divine Might Empire, had no particular name.

He had once navigated the region with a flying artifact, finding the spiritual energy scarce and the land rife with deadly toxins—hardly a place for cultivators to practice long-term.

Yet, after speaking with Lau Ying, he learned that this nameless expanse had been dubbed the Absence Relic by those on the Heavenly Source Continent.

Clearly, the sects and powers of the Heavenly Source Continent had uncovered something extraordinary here.

Only a significant discovery would warrant such attention and a name.

With Lau Ying bringing the Fallen Star Eyes to this location, the Tusk Troops' commander defecting with his remaining soldiers, Wei Feng scattered about, and the unexpected appearance of the blue-clad youth from the Spirit Void Sect, who should have been in the Kingdom of Rewia, the situation was intriguing.

Furthermore, the arrival of individuals from the Taiyuan Sect, along with Su Xiangtian and his daughter Su Yan, deepened Yu Yuan's suspicion.

Had the Absence Relic, a place he had scrutinized three hundred years ago, recently revealed some marvel to attract the attention of so many sects and forces?

Lei Xiao and Lau Wei had also recently taken their sect's disciples on a training expedition.

"We've only just arrived," Su Yan said, her gaze inadvertently drifting towards Yang Yinquan.

Yang Yinquan, brimming with energy, gave a light cough and shook his head.

With a sense of resignation, Su Yan's clear eyes conveyed her regret. "Due to certain events, we found ourselves passing by the Absence Relic on our way back to the Empire. We didn't anticipate stumbling upon a battle. Not wanting to get entangled in the conflict, nor wishing to take a detour, we decided to wait it out here."

Su Xiangtian, the current head of the Su family, was not one for many words and offered little in the conversation.

His gaze, however, lingered on Yu Yuan, pondering the reasons for his presence and contemplating the nature of his connection to Lau Ying, who wielded the Fallen Star Eyes from the heavens.

Having recently returned to the Taiyuan Sect on the Heavenly Source Continent with his daughter, Su Xiangtian was well-informed about the affairs of the seven lower sects.

He was aware of Liu Ying's esteemed status within the Silver Moon Sect and her formidable talent for cultivation.

It was Liu Ying, renowned across the Heavenly Source Continent, who had used the power of the Fallen Star Eyes to send Yu Yuan plummeting from the sky.

What allure did this once obscure figure, who had abruptly risen to prominence in Darkmoon City, possess?

Su Xiangtian was cognizant of the fact that the Cold Yin Sect, a rival to the Taiyuan Sect, had its Great Elder lavishing praise on Lim Zhuyun and taking great care in her development.

The extent to which the Cold Yin Sect valued Lim Zhuyun was matched only by the disdain harbored by many for Yu Yuan, her nominal fiancé.

Su Xiangtian had also caught wind that the Cold Yin Sect's Great Elder had secretly selected another suitor for her upon their first meeting.

This suitor was none other than a dashing young man from the Primordial Yang Sect!

After Lim Zhuyun had ascended to the Profound Break Stage and was received by the Cold Yin Sect, this young man had promptly paid her a visit.

Pleased with Lim Zhuyun, he had urged the Cold Yin Sect's Great Elder to dissolve the existing betrothal without delay.

The young master of the Yu family might be blissfully unaware that he was the subject of scrutiny on the Heavenly Source Continent. Little did he know that one day, he might find himself facing grave peril, meeting an untimely and inexplicable demise.

"The Absence Relic has been troubled lately. You'd be wise to make your way back to the Silvermoon Empire as soon as you can."

Yang Yinquan of the Taiyuan Sect offered this advice with genuine concern.

The Su family, father and daughter, who were privy to the situation, also gave Yu Yuan a slight nod, signaling their agreement with Yang's suggestion.

Yu Yuan, already suspecting issues within the Absence Relic, thought for a moment before addressing Su Yan, "Little Sister Su, may I have a word with you?"

"Of course." Su Yan responded with a smile.

Turning to Su Xiangtian and Yang Yinquan, she assured them, "You both know me—I'm not one for idle gossip. It's been over a year since Brother Yu and I last saw each other. We're just going to catch up."

Su Xiangtian was the first to nod in agreement.

Yang Yinquan, with a tender look and a gentle smile, reassured her, "Go ahead and chat. Just remind him to head back to the Silvermoon Empire as soon as he can."

"Mm-hmm," Su Yan nodded vigorously.

Casting a glance at the other Taiyuan Sect cultivators, Yang Yinquan suggested to Su Xiangtian, "Let's take a stroll."

Before long, Yu Yuan and Su Yan were alone in the area.

Yu Yuan seemed to hesitate, words on the tip of his tongue.

"Don't worry, they're not listening in," Su Yan chided him playfully, as if to scold his cautiousness. "We've only just returned from the Heavenly Source Continent and are out of the loop regarding the Empire's affairs. When did you leave the Fallen Moon Forbidden Area? And what exactly happened to you?"

Yu Yuan skirted around his experiences near Jade Peak, sharing only that he had been cultivating in the Fallen Moon Forbidden Area and, upon reaching the Yellow Court Stage, he traversed the forbidden lands to make his way home.

"Before you vanished, you looked after the Yu family quite a bit. I'm grateful for that," Yu Yuan finally said.

"It was the least I could do," Su Yan replied with a sweet smile. "Without you, many of us wouldn't have survived the Fallen Moon Forbidden Area. After we emerged, rumors spread that you were in trouble, but I never lost faith that you were safe. Seeing you now confirms my belief was correct."

"Have you joined the Taiyuan Sect?" Yu Yuan inquired.

"The Taiyuan Sect selected me quite some time ago," Su Yan revealed openly, "I just need to reach the Profound Break Stage to formally join their ranks. After leaving the Fallen Moon Forbidden Area at that stage, I waited in Darkmoon City. Once the Taiyuan Sect's representatives arrived, my father and I traveled to the Heavenly Source Continent."

Yu Yuan gave a slight nod. "I see."

The spiritual essence of heaven and earth on the Heavenly Source and Quietus Continents was much richer and purer than on the Profound Sky Continent. In many areas, the harsh natural conditions made it difficult for those below the Profound Break Stage to adapt.

As a result, these two continents only accepted disciples who had reached the Profound Break Stage.

Another point to note is that one would need to be at the Profound Break Stage to use the space teleportation array if they chose not to cross the vast ocean. At this stage, the Gate of Mystery in the middle dantian is opened, and the eight extraordinary meridians are unblocked, allowing for a second refinement of the internal organs.

Only those with a sufficiently robust physique can endure the space teleportation array; otherwise, they risk severe injury from the turbulent spatial fluctuations. Those of lower cultivation levels might even suffer fatal internal damage under extreme conditions.

"I've just returned from the Taiyuan Sect and emerged in the Absence Relic," Yu Yuan mused, stroking his chin. "Could there be a space teleportation array deep within the Absence Relic? One that directly connects to the Profound Sky Continent? Are the arrivals from the Thunder Sect, Cold Yin Sect, Spirit Void Sect, and Silver Moon Sect all using that array?"

Su Yan looked at him, impressed. "You're quite informed."

"Does that space teleportation array belong to the Spirit Void Sect?" Yu Yuan pressed on. "And about the young man in blue, the one from the Spirit Void Sect who wields a sword—do you know him?"

"You've got it right. The Spirit Void Sect controls the teleportation array deep within the Absence Relic," Su Yan confirmed, her expression turning grave. "This person with the surname Wang from the Spirit Void Sect—have you met him?"

Yu Yuan gestured toward the sky. "As of now, he's likely in the Fallen Star Eyes."

"Yu Yuan, is there any way you could help me... eliminate him?" Su Yan asked suddenly, her voice tinged with desperation.

"Eliminate him?" Yu Yuan was taken aback.
