C323 The Hellbreed's Personality

Representatives from all seven lower sects, regardless of their realm or status, found their souls shattered.

The state preceptor of the Crimson Sun Empire descended from the heavens, his remnant soul as terrifying as thousands of fiery Flame Spears.

Yu Yuan, whose heaven soul had been sensitized by the practice of Soul Forging through Enlightenment, could deeply sense the catastrophe.

He perceived the demise of every cultivator in an instant.

Standing on the floating island, Yu Yuan looked down to find no survivors.

Zhou Cangmin's Lunar Spirit, clad in white, had effortlessly slain them all with a superior soul attack.

Yu Yuan inhaled deeply, his gaze fixed on the High Oracle, whose demeanor was composed, his smile effortless. A hint of gravity weighed on Yu Yuan's spirit.

The High Oracle's formidable reputation was well-known across both the Crimson Sun and Silvermoon Empires, with every cultivator of the Silvermoon Empire regarding him as a formidable adversary.

Yu Yuan had interacted with him for a considerable time, recognizing his exceptional intellect but never witnessing his combat prowess.

Initially, Yu Yuan harbored doubts about his strength and decisiveness.

Now, there was not a shred of doubt left.

Truly worthy of the Ruby Hand, a fearsome entity dubbed the Hellbreed, the High Oracle's usual display of gentility and refinement was merely a facade.

As a titan of the devil path, Zhou Cangmin lived up to expectations, striking without disappointment.

His resolute and merciless approach was befitting of the Hellbreed's identity within the Ruby Hand.

Near the teleportation circle, the hardened earth of the Forgotten Ruins was riddled with fiery holes.

With one glance, Yu Yuan understood that Zhou Cangmin's remnant soul, imbued with blazing flame energy, had not only obliterated the cultivators' three souls but had also seared deep into the earth.

The Python Queen, Xu Zixi, and Yu Zhu had joined forces to create a miasma of poison clouds, but their seven pythons were rendered ineffective.

They merely served to distract Fen Gu and the other cultivators, drawing their focus to the serpents and the billowing toxic fog, causing them to miss the true lethal strike from above.

"You always strike with such merciless force, leaving no room for mercy," Xu Zixi remarked, eyeing the bodies strewn across the ground with a disapproving glance at Zhou Cangmin. "If the members of the seven lower sects catch wind of your reckless actions, it could very well ignite a conflict with the Ruby Hand."

Zhou Cangmin responded nonchalantly, "No one will find out."

As they conversed, Yu Yuan's attention returned to the teleportation circle. Inside the intricate network of the rune circle, Yan Qiling, transformed into a stream of black light, continued to move around, causing the teleportation circle's original magic diagrams to become overwhelmed and congested.

"Why not destroy it?" inquired Yu Yuan.

His question momentarily caught Zhou Cangmin and Xu Zixi off guard. Xu Zixi explained, "This teleportation circle, painstakingly constructed by the Ethereal Void Sect with immeasurable resources and effort, is incredibly durable. It's not easily destroyed. Without your friend's mastery of space magic and his unique abilities, even causing temporary disruption would be a challenge."

Zhou Cangmin added, "This teleportation circle was only successfully established with the support of the Solar Spirit and a cultivator of the Unbound Stage. Altering the magic diagram's pathways was also a feat unique to your friend. To demolish this structure, it would likely take the collective power of several Unbound Stage cultivators."

"Only if the Ruby Hand's strongest were to join forces and surge in could we possibly stand a chance at destruction."

With a casual smile, Zhou Cangmin continued, "Our objective is solely the Mysterious Realm within the Forgotten Ruins. Destroying such an immense teleportation circle is beyond our capabilities. To do so would instantly spark a relentless war between the Ethereal Void Sect and the Ruby Hand. Even if they discover we've slain a few of their cultivators, it won't provoke an all-out battle between our sects."

Yu Yuan grasped the unspoken implication: in comparison to a teleportation circle, the lives of individuals like Fen Gu were ultimately inconsequential.

Shortly thereafter, Yan Qiling, as a black light, exited the teleportation circle and reformed, landing on the floating island. "The Ethereal Void Sect is aware there's an issue with the teleportation circle, and it will take considerable time to repair. We have ample opportunity to explore the Forgotten Ruins and uncover the hidden Mysterious Realm," she stated.

Zhou Cangmin nodded and cast a glance at Yu Zhu.

Yu Zhu caught on immediately.

The miasma cloud that had departed from the island swiftly reconvened. After a brief pause, the island once again took to the skies in silence.

Yu Yuan instantly realized that Yu Zhu must know the precise location of the restriction triggered by Shen Feiqing.

Yan Qiling possessed many wonders that rendered the Ethereal Void's teleportation circle inoperative. Moreover, Yu Zhu's attunement with the Way of Heaven in the Forgotten Ruins enabled her to detect the most minute changes in the world's hidden corners.

With the assistance of Yan Qiling and Yu Zhu, Zhou Cangmin and Xu Zixi found their actions within this realm to be significantly easier.

In the distant sky, a dazzling beam of ice light vanished in an instant.

Zhou Cangmin furrowed his brow, remarking, "Feiqing has actually failed."

"That Winter's Bite fellow must possess some kind of life-saving artifact; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to elude Feiqing in that condition," Xu Zixi mused. "Could this lead to unforeseen complications?"

The High Oracle hesitated for a few seconds before turning to Yan Qiling. "Mr. Yan, might you lend me a hand?"

"Do you intend to kill Zou Jin?" inquired Yan Qiling.

"My Lunar Spirit isn't bound by flesh and blood and moves as swiftly as arc light. Just create a small opening to the void tunnel Zou Jin used to escape, and I'll be able to intercept him," Zhou Cangmin declared with confidence.

"Your real body is merely a Lunar Spirit, and Zou Jin is on the same level, also in the Spirit Walk state," Yan Qiling cautioned gravely.

The High Oracle responded with a carefree smile, "My real body is on the verge of cultivating a Solar Spirit. Though we are both in the Spirit Walk state, the differences between us are substantial."

After a moment's thought, Yan Qiling expressed his admiration with a nod, "Very well."

A dazzling white light burst forth, causing a violent spatial tremor as it erupted from the seam between his clasped hands.

The light was slender, slicing through the fabric of space.

Beneath them, the rune circle he had manipulated trembled with force.

"I'll head over first."

With a light chuckle, the High Oracle condensed into a streak of light, racing alongside the brilliant beam.

In an instant, the two lights converged into one.

Then, in an instant, they vanished.

"Mr. Yan, you seem to have reaped quite the bounty within the Ethereal Void Sect's teleportation circle," Python Queen Xu Zixi observed, as Yan Qiling's form dissipated into a white light. "You've effortlessly harvested the concealed power within the teleportation circle. Aren't you concerned that the Ethereal Void Sect will come after you?"

"If I were afraid of death, I wouldn't have ventured into the Forgotten Ruins," Yan Qiling retorted.

"Mr. Yan, if you don't mind my asking, what was your name back in the Moonfall Sanctuary?" Xu Zixi squinted, her voice laced with intrigue. "I'm quite familiar with the alien souls suppressed there, yet I've never heard of, nor seen, an entity like you."

Yan Qiling's demeanor chilled. "That's not something I can disclose."

"Just a bit of curiosity on my part, Mr. Yan. Please, pay it no mind," Xu Zixi said with a smile.

In that moment, Yu Yuan caught a glimpse of an extraordinary glint in Yu Zhu's eyes.

A thread of her Soul Echo slipped into Yu Yuan's Heart Lake.

Instantly, Yu Yuan realized that the Starmoon Sect's prodigy, wielding the Fallen Star Eyes, had discerned the location of the seal high above them.

And he had reached it before anyone else.

"Liu Ying, was she also a target?" Yan Qiling abruptly inquired.

"Absolutely not!" Xu Zixi interjected hastily.

Yan Qiling dismissed her concern and turned his gaze to Yu Yuan.

"Spare her life."
