C432 Agreement!

The enigmatic workings of the Blood Altar were gradually revealed through the conversations of Lin Yue, Chi Yin, and their companions.

As human cultivators joined forces with the evilkind, they began to wage war against the Star-Spawned Terrors beyond the Everlands. This alliance deepened their knowledge of these terrors and the various Otherkin of the Star River, allowing even those who had never ventured beyond their world to learn of the extraordinary extraterrestrial beings from the tales of their elders and ancient tomes.

The Star-Spawned Terrors were among the most formidable entities in the Star River!

The Sky Fiend race was divided into numerous factions, including distinct groups like the Moonfiends and the Azurefiends.

The Star-Spawned Terrors were notably the most antagonistic towards the Everlands out of all the Star River races.

The explanation is straightforward: before the humans and evilkind of the Everlands ventured forth, it was the Sky Fiends who dominated the extraterrestrial Star River!

In other words, the Star-Spawned Terrors were the original overlords of the Star River!

With the ascension of the Human Race, the beings of the Everlands surged outwards, setting their sights on the Sky Fiend race. They sought to oppress and annihilate them, using these conflicts to hone their skills and advance their cultivation.

Upon reaching the realm of the Solar Spirit, a human cultivator would take flight through the Star River, deeming the slaying of a Sky Fiend as a rite of passage for the Solar Spirit.

It was as though without vanquishing a Star-Spawned Terror, one could not claim the title of Solar Spirit or be considered truly forged in the extraterrestrial realm.

This was the root of the deep-seated enmity between the Star-Spawned Terrors, the humans, the evilkinds, and the archdemons of the Everlands—a feud so bitter that it could only end in mutual destruction.

After enduring numerous colossal and bloody conflicts, the Sky Fiend clans were decimated, one after another.

The human race and the numerous archdemons paid a steep price as well, suffering heavy casualties.

However, the human race had a vast population. From the onset of their cultivation journey to achieving the esteemed status of a Solar Spirit cultivator, it might only take a few centuries.

Furthermore, there were prodigies who, in a mere century, managed to reach the Solar Spirit level and step into the Star River.

The Star-Spawned Terrors, lacking this capability and advantage, could not quickly regroup or produce a significant number of formidable kin.

Over time, the dominion of the Sky Fiend Clan as the supreme rulers of the Star River in the extraterrestrial realms was usurped by the humans, evilkinds, and demons of the Everlands.

The advance of humanity did not falter in the wake of the Sky Fiend Clan's devastating defeat; they pressed on, penetrating deeper into the vast Star Rivers.

This compelled the Otherkin of the Star Rivers to form an alliance with the Sky Fiend Clan in a united front against the combined forces of humans and evilkinds.

The frequent and intense battles with the Sky Fiend Clan endowed the cultivators of the Everlands with profound knowledge of these formidable adversaries.

The Blood Altar, a fearsome Cursed Artifact, was exclusive to the Sky Fiend Clan!

Only the most powerful branches of the Sky Fiend Clan possessed a Blood Altar, and even then, there were rarely more than two or three in existence.

Lesser branches of the Sky Fiend Clan might not possess a single Blood Altar.

Legend has it that the Blood Altar of the Sky Fiend Clan was crafted in the deepest reaches of the Star River. The process began with the corpses and souls of the Sky Fiend Clan as a foundation, combined with hundreds of rare treasures from within the Star River, all fused over millennia to create the Blood Altar.

The base of the Blood Altar was the enigmatic and perilous "Maw of Oblivion" within the Star River, said to be capable of consuming all in its path.

Locating a stable "Maw of Oblivion" could take a Sky Fiend Clan hundreds or even thousands of years.

Once discovered, a Demon God of the Sky Fiend Clan would need to make the ultimate sacrifice, merging with their own corpse and soul.

Only then, after pouring in the clan's accumulated rare treasures over countless years and refining them for a millennium or more, could a Blood Altar be completed.

Such a creation, once forged, would significantly bolster the combat prowess of a Sky Fiend Clan.

A fully realized Blood Altar, imbued with the dread power of the "Maw of Oblivion" and under the control of the Sky Fiend Clan, could be transformed into a cataclysmic weapon of doom.

Wielded by the Sky Fiend Clan beyond the Star River, the Blood Altar could consume the souls of Solar Spirits and Unbound cultivators alike, crushing and assimilating the colossal forms of evilkind!

Even the colossal creatures of the Star River would be utterly consumed if ensnared by the Blood Altar, leaving not even a trace of their remains.

The Blood Altar is the Sky Fiend Clan's fearsome blade in the cosmic conflict of the Star River races. Any severely wounded Sky Fiend can harness the Blood Altar to fully recover in mere moments.

Whether it's shattered limbs or gravely damaged devil souls, all can be instantaneously healed within the Blood Altar. It empowers every Sky Fiend to swiftly regain their peak strength and rejoin the fray.

However, this requires a plentiful reserve of flesh and souls within the Blood Altar.

Each Blood Altar, when unleashing its concealed might, can effortlessly create a distinctive light screen that shrouds a small realm within the extraterrestrial Star River.

The Blood Altars crafted by different Sky Fiend Clans each hold their unique secrets, and the light screens they form vary in name and potency.

Yet, nearly all Blood Altars are considered precious relics by the Sky Fiend Clan.

A Blood Altar can be seen as a "Star Fortress" for a Sky Fiend Clan, versatile in both attack and defense. For them, the infinitely mysterious Blood Altar is the cornerstone of their existence.

Human and evilkind cultivators have endured great hardship due to the Blood Altar in the wars beyond the Star River.

Many Solar Spirits and archdemons of the eighth and ninth levels have been consumed and refined by the Blood Altar, becoming sources of vitality and refined Soul Power for the Sky Fiends.

As a result, during the grand battles between the Everlands and the extraterrestrial Star-Spawned Terrors, peak primordial spirits and tenth-level archdemons strive to prioritize and obliterate the Blood Altar.

Whenever human and evilkind cultivators achieve victory, if a Blood Altar is in the possession of the Sky Fiend Clan, it is immediately targeted for destruction.

The reason is clear: the Blood Altar's fearsome nature and its ability to amplify the combat prowess of the Sky Fiend Clan are well understood.

Never in the annals of the Everlands has a Blood Altar penetrated this realm or entered their world.

Yet now, a Blood Altar lies concealed on an island within the Embers Sea, and it has abruptly sprung to life, splitting in two and hunting down the elders and trial-takers of the great sects both in the heavens and the depths of the sea.

Where did this object come from?

Anyone with half a brain would know that the Blood Altar couldn't possibly have evaded the notice of the extraterrestrial cultivators' primordial spirits during the meteor shower, slipping undetected into the vast Everlands and the Embers Sea.

If a Blood Altar truly shattered the starry sky's wall, the pinnacle cultivators of the Everlands would surely sense it!

The likelihood of it falling from the extraterrestrial realm is almost nil.

Therefore, it must be an island that was already secretly present in the Embers Sea!

It was the Blood Altar of the Azurefiend, seized by the Devil Palace and Shadow's Keep following their victory in extraterrestrial battles. They managed to elude the three upper sects' surveillance and even obscured the fates, bringing it into the Embers Sea.

The actions of the Devil Palace and Shadow's Keep have endangered the beings of the Everlands, creating a massive hidden danger.

This also breaches the ancient covenant they have with the three upper sects!

"Fei Yi?" Yan Lu leaned in and whispered to Fei Yi, "Since the verdict is already out, shouldn't we drop the argument?"

He was concerned that Fei Yi would take out his frustration on Yu Yuan, accusing him of talking nonsense.

"Do you have your answer about whether it's a Blood Altar?" Liu Ying shot Fei Yi a look and huffed, "The evilkind have trapped themselves, nearly wiped out beneath the sea. The trial-takers from your Devil Palace might be in the dark about the whole affair, but that's no excuse to play the fool!"

After a moment of silence, Fei Yi dropped this line, "Let's focus on surviving and getting out of here first, then we can discuss the rest!"

"Exactly." Yu Yuan nodded with a smile, "As I said, the Tears of the Azurefiend aren't down there, so we're in luck. We might be able to break through the Azure Veil created by the Blood Altar with our current strength. The Blood Altar is preoccupied with reaping the bodies of cultivators from all over and hunting down the evilkind; it might not get around to us for some time."

"You know, this guy really has it figured out." Du Huang of the Forgeroses, having listened to the discussion and grasped the situation, now understood what the extraterrestrial object was and the direction to proceed. He looked at Yu Yuan with admiration and said, "Liu Ying and Yan Lu have been tirelessly searching for you. I think they're making a mountain out of a molehill."

"Alright, now, I need to apologize to Liu Ying and Yan Lu."

"You were correct."

"With Yu Yuan's arrival, we've come to understand the full scope of the situation and what we need to do to make it out alive."

The young man from the Forgeroses, with his strong build and numerous braids, was quick to acknowledge his error.

Once it was clear that Yan Lu and Liu Ying were correct, he was the first to admit his own mistake.

Luo Yiyi of the Cloudwater Sect also promptly offered her apologies.

Lin Yue and Chi Yin gave a slight bow.

Liu Ying gestured dismissively, indicating she wasn't bothered, and then stated earnestly, "Yu Yuan, lead us out of here alive!"
