C459 Four Great Fishes at the Bottom of the Sea!

The transformation of a Sky Fiend into an evil spirit was nothing short of miraculous!

Yu Yuan, even in his past life, had never encountered such a phenomenon.

Had it not been for Kong Banbi's keen observation of the ceaseless transformations linking them to the Sky Fiend, along with the corroborating accounts from Mo Yan and the others within the Ethereal Vial, Yu Yuan would have been none the wiser about this development.

A Sky Fiend, whose life had ended on an island within the Embers Sea, managed to preserve its mental essence and emotions through the power of the "Crucible of Evil."

Over time, it grew stronger, attracting other malevolent energies and ultimately becoming an evil spirit capable of acting on instinct.

This evil spirit, born alongside the "Crucible of Evil," immediately sought out the artifact upon escaping the clutches of the Devil Palace and Shadow's Keep.

As it neared the "Crucible of Evil," its power surged.

Incredibly, it withstood a strike from the Bone-Devouring Shuttle without faltering.

With this realization, Yu Yuan sharpened his focus, momentarily setting aside the Abyssal Leviathan to concentrate on the "Crucible of Evil" hovering before his chest.

He activated the Evil Body Refining technique, feeling strands of refined blood and vitality from within the Profound Gate coalesce into beams of crimson light.

These beams, like cords, lashed around the "Crucible of Evil," tugging it back towards him.

He pulled it back into the Profound Gate of Vitality!

The "Crucible of Evil" wobbled, growing incredibly heavy upon his chest, proving difficult to manage.

Contrary to his will and the pull of his vitality, the cauldron did not comply and settle into the acupoint.

Instead, it resisted in midair, stubbornly refusing to be drawn inward.

"Hehe!"

The Abyssal Leviathan, trapped within the sword light cage, let out another mocking laugh.

Lifting his head with a sneer, he taunted, "What do you really know, boy? Do you understand why it wasn't annihilated by the Devil Palace? Why it was separated and suppressed alongside the 'Crucible of Evil'?"

"I do not," Yu Yuan retorted with a cold snort.

The Abyssal Leviathan then slowly rose to his feet.

As he stood, the onlookers' faces fell, and a sense of dread filled their hearts.

For the gaping, bloodied wound that had marred his waist had now completely healed, leaving not even a trace of a scar behind.

The healing prowess of the cosmic giant beast was exhibited in all its glory within his body!

He flexed his limbs, observing the sword light cage that was steadily expanding from the pressure of his teeth. Rather than hastily escaping, he took his time and casually said to Yu Yuan, "Its transformation into an evil spirit wasn't a natural occurrence; it was orchestrated by someone. Those dark adepts from the Devil Palace wanted to test its feasibility, so they executed it right next to the Crucible of Evil."

"Someone's doing!" exclaimed Kong Banbi, visibly startled.

Yu Yuan's complexion subtly shifted as well.

"The human dark adepts, who consider themselves the true lineage of devils, declare that the Half-Demon represents the pinnacle of devilry!" The Abyssal Leviathan spoke with a frosty demeanor, his gaze equally chilling. "These dark adepts hunt Terra Fiends in the Everlands, refining them into artifacts to enhance their dark arts and fortify their physiques. Beyond our world, they slay Sky Fiends to assert their dominance."

"With the fall of the Terror Claws, the artifact soul within the cauldron is likely dead or bereft of intelligence – there's been no sign of it."

"Without a soul, a Divine Artifact inevitably degrades, unable to unleash its formidable power."

"The Devil Palace, coveting an additional Divine Artifact, must seek a new artifact soul for this cauldron. They imprison a Sky Fiend and execute it beside the cauldron, using its mystical properties to preserve the Sky Fiend's spirit and emotional essence. This allows the spirit to naturally accumulate evil qi and evolve into an evil spirit, progressively growing stronger to eventually become the new artifact soul."

"There's a covert link between that evil spirit and the Crucible of Evil!"

"It owes its existence and strength to the Crucible of Evil, all in preparation for the day it will enter the Crucible as a new artifact soul, restoring the cauldron to its Divine Artifact status!"

"Isolating it allows the evil spirit to mature and metamorphose independently, preserving its primal ferocity. In the depths of the Embers Sea, trials are conducted repeatedly, each resulting in some casualties. When there are no trials, the Devil Palace and Shadow's Keep send creatures to engage in combat, fostering the growth of the evil spirit."

"The Devil Palace believes it's not yet worthy to enter the Crucible of Evil."

"But now, the Tears of the Azurefiend have stirred, forcing it to evolve more rapidly. It must enter the Crucible of Evil sooner rather than later."

"Without entry into the Crucible of Evil, it will be consumed by the Tears of the Azurefiend and become part of the Soul Altar."

This revelation left everyone within the Fallen Star Eyes utterly astonished.

It appeared that the evil spirit's very existence was meant for the Crucible of Evil, to inhabit it as an artifact soul, thus restoring the degraded artifact to its Divine Level.

"Don't allow it to enter. If it does, you'll have no part in this," the Abyssal Leviathan interjected. "Given your current realm and mastery, you're simply not qualified to possess it!"

"Yu Yuan!"

Liu Ying's complexion turned ashen, her lips quivering as she fearfully glanced elsewhere, "This is terrible."

"What is it?" Su Yan felt a sense of foreboding.

"It's coming," Liu Ying exclaimed in alarm.

The survivors from the Forgeroses and the Sword Sect were initially puzzled by her exclamation, but they quickly grasped the situation.

Hearts pounding, they involuntarily followed her gaze toward that ominous direction.

"Could it be the Blood Altar?" Kong Banbi murmured.

With a rigid expression, Liu Ying gave a slight nod, "It's on its way. I can sense it drawing nearer."

"What are you waiting for?" the Abyssal Leviathan demanded coldly from within the sword light cage. "You have control over this aerolite. Knowing it's approaching, why aren't you fleeing?"

Liu Ying hesitated, her eyes turning to Yu Yuan.

At that moment, Mo Yan, within the Ethereal Vial, also felt the Blood Altar's proximity through the Shadowblade. His expression darkened as he cursed, "It's as if our fears are manifesting! The Blood Altar, the Abyssal Leviathan, the Crucible of Evil, and the evil spirit – must they all converge at once?"

"Ah, the Blood Altar is coming?" Chi Yin was petrified.

Their goal had always been to escape the Embers Sea and the Azure Veil, to evade the Blood Altar and avoid becoming its sacrificial offering.

After hearing about the ferocity of the Blood Altar from Yu Yuan and Mo Yan, everyone was filled with a quiet sense of dread.

The Ethereal Vial, which had been eluding capture for so long and was on the verge of reaching the edge, had a glimmer of hope to break through the Azure Veil and avoid disaster.

But Mo Yan had insisted on turning back to confront the Abyssal Leviathan.

Now, the Blood Altar, which they had been avoiding at all costs, was also joining the fray.

The young talents from the various dark and evil sects of the northern Land of Quiescence watched Mo Yan with deep resentment, biting back their anger in silence.

"The Abyssal Leviathan is loose. Not only are we in danger, but the entire Land of Quiescence could suffer," Mo Yan said, his face an impassive mask of irritation.

"So, what do we do now?" Qi Nandou inquired.

"Yu Yuan?" Meanwhile, Liu Ying, Su Yan, and the others sought Yu Yuan's perspective.

"Faced with certain death on either side, there's no point in skulking and hiding any longer."

Yu Yuan's demeanor suddenly eased. Amidst the tangled web of the situation before him, he let go of his calculations and ceased searching for an elusive solution, choosing instead to follow his gut instinct. "If the Blood Altar wants to come, then let it come."

"Ah!?"

The crowd was taken aback by his declaration, and the Abyssal Leviathan, trapped within the sword light cage, began to thrash violently at his words.

Struggling, it batted at the strands of sword light and bellowed, "Kid! Let me out, and I'll forsake the Crucible of Evil!"

"Are you afraid?"

Yu Yuan felt a surge of exhilaration, pointing at the Abyssal Leviathan, now resembling a gaunt old man, "Before you left the ocean depths, you were no match for the Blood Altar, right? I suspect you needed the Crucible of Evil to stand a chance against it beneath the waves. But now, that cauldron is in my possession!"

The Abyssal Leviathan's eyes were dark and unfathomable as it simply stated, "Let me out."

"If you can, break free on your own. I'm willing to deplete every last bit of sword light in a standoff with you!" Yu Yuan taunted, reckless of the consequences.
