C470 Purification!

Inside the cauldron, Yu Yuan felt the transformative power of the Spawn of Chaos and his excitement surged.

The combination of Evil Body Refining and the Crucible of Evil unveiled the cauldron's enigmatic properties.

His corporeal body, with the middle elixir field and Profound Gate acting as conduits, was drawn to the myriad of strange powers deep within the Spawn of Chaos under the pull of Evil Body Refining.

These forces, lured by his practice of Evil Body Refining, mostly rushed into the cauldron!

Before entering the cauldron, Yu Yuan had been apprehensive. He feared that an overwhelming force, if not properly contained, might shatter him, causing his flesh to burst.

The energy stored within the Spawn of Chaos was excessively potent. When he activated Evil Body Refining, even absorbing just a fraction caused his bones to fracture and his veins to tear, leaving his organs searing with pain.

And this was when he was fully capable of wielding Evil Body Refining to counter the Spawn of Chaos.

He worried that a single misstep, a failure to properly channel, would cause the vast and malevolent psionic power to rupture his physical form.

Yet, upon entering the Crucible of Evil, he found his previous concerns were unfounded.

The cauldron had assisted him in consuming 99% of the psionic impurities!

"Hu! Hu! Hu!"

Watching the vibrant streams of energy, rainbow glows, chilling flames, and green venom converge from all directions and vanish within the Crucible of Evil, he was immediately reassured.

He suddenly understood why the Devil Palace had transported the Crucible of Evil to the Embers Sea, positioning it alongside the Blood Altar.

Despite the fall of the Terror Claws, this Divine Artifact they left behind could indeed counter the Blood Altar in certain respects.

The Crucible of Evil could directly absorb the various psionic energies and toxins that the Spawn of Chaos, which underpinned the Blood Altar, contained.

He even suspected that the power he had harnessed to break through his eight extra-channels within the Crucible of Evil might have originated from the Spawn of Chaos.

The impurities and refuse that neither the Soul Altar nor the Blood Altar could refine and discard were precisely what the Crucible of Evil could reabsorb and utilize.

The chaotic and violent strange powers were beyond the capabilities of ordinary cultivators to harness.

Even institutions such as the Devil Palace, Colddeath, and Shadow's Keep struggled to assimilate these bizarre forces into their beings to enhance their cultivation and corporeal bodies.

Yet, the Evil Body Refining technique stood out as a unique dark art that could be used to grow stronger through such cultivation.

Yu Yuan acutely sensed the array of odd and perilous forces flooding into his body, ravaging his delicate meridians and bones. He was using the vitality he had condensed from the acupoints of his middle elixir field's Profound Gate to rebuild his skeletal and muscular structure.

This cycle of destruction and repair was what made him increasingly resilient, the true brilliance of the Evil Body Refining technique.

The relentless invasion of his body by these forces was excruciating, yet he found a perverse pleasure in the pain.

He was aware that if he could just grit his teeth and withstand it, his corporeal body, tempered in the Veil Breaking state, would become unimaginably robust!

He also knew that the longer he allowed the Crucible of Evil to consume the Spawn of Chaos, the greater the benefits he would reap later on.

The psionic power would remain concealed within the Crucible of Evil, aiding his future cultivation efforts!

Thus, before the Abyssal Leviathan set its sights on him, he had asked Qi Nandou to hold off for a bit.

In the meantime, the Abyssal Leviathan would continue to be eroded by the psionic power of the Spawn of Chaos, weakening it further.

His primary concern was whether Mo Yan could withstand the ordeal.

Additionally, he wondered if Liu Ying had managed to break through the fragile Azure Veil using the cauldron spirit's guidance, thereby establishing a connection between him, the Soulforge Pool, and the subterranean chamber of the Moonfall Sanctuary.

Should he manage to link with the Soulforge Pool and its inner recesses, he would gain access to additional Soul Power.

Armed with the Crucible of Evil and his scabbard, his strength could reach its full potential.

*Boom!*

The Blood Altar, sunken into a deep pit, erupted skyward once more, showering the area in a spray of deep red light.

Mo Yan, perched atop the Shadowblade, wore a savage expression. His eyes were bloodshot, and dark blood oozed from the corners, trailing down his cheeks as if tainted by venom. The serrated Devil Blade seemed to emit a mournful wail, resonating with his agony.

Mo Heng's neck was marked with fine bloodstains, and his struggle to suppress the Blood Altar with the Shadowblade appeared increasingly strenuous.

A drop of black and purple demonic blood occasionally oozed from the mud pellet acupoint on his forehead, glistening like an eye as it fixed on Yu Yuan.

Gasping for breath, his eyes swirling with rage, he bellowed across the sea, "How much longer?"

"Almost there! Just a bit longer!" Yu Yuan, stationed within the Crucible of Evil, promptly replied to Mo Heng's roar, "I'll find the Abyssal Leviathan right away! Just hold on a little more! We can't let the Blood Altar merge with this accursed thing! You know that!"

"One quarter of an hour! That's the most I can give!" Mo Yan declared sharply.

"Understood!" Yu Yuan nodded.

With a splash, a desiccated corpse clad in vibrant garments suddenly dropped from the sea's surface.

Drifting through the Azure Veil, the corpse approached the Ethereal Vial.

"Granny Liu!" The Taintborn Sect's disciples cried out upon recognizing the corpse, which bore a resemblance to Chi Yin's attire.

Chi Yin glanced down, her voice tinged with revulsion, "Why only die now? I would've thought she'd be long gone."

She seemed to harbor a deep-seated aversion to Granny Liu, a fellow disciple of the Taintborn Sect who shared her style of dress and practiced the same spells.

The corpse struck the luminous barrier above the Ethereal Vial and bounced slightly with the motion of the water. Several vials and jars suspended from the body jostled, their stoppers coming loose.

Abruptly, a green flame ignited above the Ethereal Vial!

The white light screen that had kept the sea and the onlookers apart burst into intense flames. The chilling green fire, carrying a bone-chilling chill, fell through.

The onlookers' faces drained of color, bewildered by the sudden turn of events.

As figures scattered to avoid the flames, all eyes turned to Chi Yin.

Dodging just the same, Chi Yin shrieked, "Don't look at me! I have no idea what that old ghost concocted in those bottles! Just steer clear of it!"

Everyone was avoiding the chilling, emerald-green flames, fearing they might draw the fire upon themselves. Only Lin Zhuyun, whose heart had turned to ash, sat motionless with her head bowed. The sinister green flames surged toward her, enveloping her in an instant and burning with a ferocious intensity.

"Get away!" Qi Nandou's face was stricken with alarm. He noticed that the spiritual energy barrier, created by the Ethereal Vial, was being eroded by the green flames, which in turn fueled their ferocity. With a loud cry, he retracted all the light screens released by the Ethereal Vial back into the bottle.

The individuals who had been inside the Ethereal Vial were suddenly exposed to the seawater. They quickly conjured their spiritual energy shields around themselves and watched Lin Zhuyun with stunned expressions.

Lin Zhuyun, still seated amidst the sea, her hair undamaged, floated gracefully within the flames. After the Ethereal Vial was removed, she continued to sit, but as the green flames raged around her, she slowly rose to her feet. Despite the tumultuous inferno, she remained unchanged, showing no signs of pain or succumbing to the flames. Instead, the fire seemed to make her even colder.

With a flick of her fingers, Lin Zhuyun sent ten streaks of green lightning flying, striking the remaining members of the Taintborn and Colddeath. In an instant, they too were engulfed in the same surging emerald flames.

The flames were green and bone-chillingly cold, yet the ten people consumed by them experienced excruciating pain, their screams piercing as their flesh turned to charred black.

From within the sea, Lin Zhuyun gazed at Chi Yin. Her eyes had completely transformed into a green hue, mirroring the flames, exuding a cold and eerie aura.
