C526 Removing the Hidden Danger!

Within the sealed room, clusters of "Sun Essence Fire" burst forth from Yu Yuan's Yellow Court acupoints in succession. Eight clusters, each the size of a disc, hovered above his head, radiating a fiery brilliance that filled the space.

The room's temperature skyrocketed!

With a slight motion of his lips, Yu Yuan commanded, "Come out!"

A dark black cauldron emerged from the microcosm of Qi and blood, levitating before his chest, gently spinning. The Demonic Marks etched upon it sprang to life, vividly depicting the refinement of Fiend Demons, the birth of malice, and the myriad shifts in the emotions of sentient beings.

The Floating Hall exuded an enigmatic glow, potent enough to deter legions of malevolent spirits.

With a whoosh, a figure with the upper body of a woman and the lower half of a scorpion, as though sculpted from ice-blue crystal, soared out from the cauldron. Her emergence sent the room's temperature plummeting, and where heat and cold collided, mist spontaneously formed.

The chill-inducing Fiend Demon, devoid of human sentiment, gazed at the eight clusters of "Sun Essence Fire" with an instinctual aversion.

The thoughts of the cauldron soul echoed within Yu Yuan's heart lake, engaging in a continuous exchange with him.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Beams of ice-blue lightning, fine as fishing lines and carrying the chill of the Dark Domain, streaked into the eight clusters of "Sun Essence Fire," igniting a battle.

Yu Yuan winced, a sharp pain in his brow prompting a soft grunt.

As the eight strands of ice-blue lightning struck the "Sun Essence Fire," he experienced a piercing sensation, akin to ice needles stabbing into his forehead's acupoints. His pure, condensed spiritual power enveloped the eight clusters of Sun Essence Fire, with his gathered spiritual energy and focused consciousness forming the outer layers, and the true Sun Essence Fire at the very core.

In that moment, the ice-blue lightning delved deep into the Sun Essence Fire, shattering any remnants of the Chaos Roc's imprints.

With a resounding boom, something hard within the eight clusters of Sun Essence Fire burst asunder.

Yu Yuan instantly sensed his soul's near obliteration. His expression shifted, and he eagerly inquired, "Did it work?"

"It worked!" came the affirming response from the Artifact Soul of the cauldron.

The spell-casting Fiend Demon, radiating a frigid aura, vanished in a flash, retreating to the cauldron's inner sanctuary to resume its quiet slumber.

Without the beckoning of the cauldron soul, it would never emerge on its own.

"Hu! Hu! Hu!"

Yu Yuan's mind shifted, and the eight clusters of Sun Essence Fire danced around his head at will, as nimble as if he were moving his own arms.

The previous sensation of stagnation was no longer there.

Within the safety of the Mountain and Water Grand Array on Babel Island, Yu Yuan fearlessly refined the eight clusters of Sun Essence Fire.

Otherwise, he feared that releasing the Sun Essence Fire might alert the Chaos Roc, which would sense it and immediately forsake him.

"It turns out that the Flaming Sun, adrift in the void within the Chaos Roc, and the Sun Essence Fire I've been refining, were all the Chaos Roc's doing. This Starry Behemoth, if unwilling, would likely prevent the Glorious Heavenly Wheel from drawing even a trace of Sun Essence Fire from its Flaming Sun Eye."

It suddenly dawned on him that the presence of the Sun Essence Fire within him was orchestrated by the Chaos Roc.

The creature wanted to monitor his whereabouts and activities in the Ember Waters at all times.

Even after leaving the Ember Waters, the Chaos Roc could still track him through his Flaming Sun Eye.

Only now, with the aid of the 'demon' and the opposing currents of the Dark Domain, had he managed to erase the Demonic Mark the Chaos Roc had left within the Sun Essence Fire.

From this moment on, the eight clusters of Sun Essence Fire were truly his.

"With the threat gone, I can now leave Babel Island unnoticed. The Chaos Roc and my betrothed will be none the wiser about my movements."

Yu Yuan rose from his seated meditation, feeling light and unburdened.

"It's been several days, and Sister Yuan still hasn't come back."

Lifting his eyelids, he walked to the door and, upon opening it, found Chiang Yurong about to knock.

"I was just looking for you."

Chiang Yurong paused, surprised by Yu Yuan's quick response, not expecting him to detect her silent approach. "Master Yuan sent me to deliver a message. She, along with Lord Faang Yao and her father, have gone back to Red Devilland. She plans to use the island's volcano to practice a demonic technique."

"She's asked you to wait for her on Babel Island for half a month. In about that time, she should be able to join you, and then you can both head back to the Absence Relic together."

"Head to Red Devil Island to practice demonic arts?" Yu Yuan exclaimed in surprise. "Has a new guardian been appointed there?"

"Not yet. Faang Yao is currently overseeing Red Devil Island, but he's not the official guardian designated by the Red Devil Sect," Chiang Yurong clarified. "Also, there are quite a few people eager to meet with you."

"Who's looking for me?" Yu Yuan inquired with curiosity.

"Old Cash from the Silver Moon Sect has expressed a desire to see you," Chiang Yurong paused to reflect, then added, "And the Devil Envoy from the Devil Palace has sent word that he wishes to meet with you as well."

After a moment of contemplation, Yu Yuan asked, "Where can I find Old Cash? I owe him a meeting."

"Old Cash can be found in the hall where various artifacts are sold. He's been lingering there for the past three days," Chiang Yurong said with a light laugh. "His refined Jade Tower was destroyed, so he's likely looking to gather spiritual materials to repair it. Purchasing a new one isn't really feasible for him."

"I'll go look for him." Yu Yuan nodded and, led by Chiang Yurong, departed from the pavilion that the chamber of commerce had specially arranged for him.

"I'll be around for a bit. The higher-ups have instructed that you're free to roam the island without any Spirit Stone fees," Chiang Yurong informed him. "This room will be kept for you for some time; you're welcome to return whenever you wish. However, should you need to use the space teleportation array to get back to the Absence Relic, the standard Spirit Stone toll will apply."

Yu Yuan acknowledged her words with nods, signaling his understanding of the chamber's policies.

Soon after, escorted by Chiang Yurong, Yu Yuan stepped out into the open.

With one step, the scenery seemed to instantly clear, and he immediately realized he had left the confines of the grand formation and was truly standing on Babel Island.

"I'll wander on my own."

With that, he confidently made his way toward the artifact-selling hall of the chamber of commerce.

Chiang Yurong watched his departing figure, her surprise hidden within, "I never mentioned the hall's location, nor did he ask. Yet, he moves as if he's intimately familiar with the island's layout, as if he knows every special hall and building by heart. It's as if he's been here many times before."

She guessed correctly; Yu Yuan had visited Babel Island countless times in his past life.

Before ascending to the position of Sect Master of the Medicine God Sect, he spent a considerable period refining medicine on the neighboring Medicine God Island. The pills he crafted were directly sold through the Babel Chamber of Commerce.

In those days, his favorite pastime was to wander aimlessly around Babel Island whenever he had some downtime. He would inspect the remnants of formation diagrams, scout for rare spiritual medicines and fruits, and acquire ingredients for concocting new pills. He was also on the lookout for Spiritual Spells and secret arts, eager to delve deeper into the path of cultivation.

In the latter stages of his life, as his temperament underwent a drastic transformation, he delved into the nefarious study of poisons, acquiring many dread-inducing toxins on Babel Island.

The island's layout, with its various halls and pavilions, was etched into his memory.

"Lee Yu!"

As he walked past a hall dedicated to displaying pellets, his keen eyes caught sight of a disheveled acquaintance being badgered by a silver-haired, broad-shouldered man.

Lee Yu, preferring silence, sat stoically on a stone platform, his expression frosty.

The burly man prattled on incessantly, disrupting Lee Yu's peace and preventing him from settling into his cultivation practice.

Observers from the Chamber of Commerce, clad in their distinctive robes, watched the scene unfold with indifference.

Since the man had not resorted to physical confrontation, merely using words to cause a disturbance, he wasn't breaking any island rules, and thus, they refrained from intervening.

Moreover, it seemed they were aware of Lee Yu's lineage, recognizing him as a scion of the nearly extinct Lee family.

"He's actually here in the Crack Archipelago!"

A grin broke across Yu Yuan's face as he quickened his pace, racing toward Lee Yu. From a distance, he bellowed, "What brings you to Babel Island, young man? You know I'm around. Why didn't you have the Chamber of Commerce notify me so we could catch up?"

Annoyed beyond measure, Lee Yu's interest piqued upon hearing the familiar voice. His eyelids lifted, and upon recognizing the person, a surge of excitement flashed across his face.

But the thrill was fleeting, vanishing within seconds as he recalled his aunt's words...

He let out a quiet sigh within, watching Yu Yuan approach with confident strides. Suddenly, he felt a wave of uncertainty, unsure of how to react or whether he should keep his distance.

"Who is this guy?"

The silver-haired giant, swords in hand, glanced sideways at Yu Yuan and furrowed his brow. "Another greenhorn, could he be from the Lee family too?"

As the thought crossed his mind, a cold smile played at the corner of his mouth, and he murmured under his breath, "If so, this kid's out of luck!"
