C526 Removing the Hidden Danger!

Within the sealed room, clusters of sunfire burst forth from Yu Yuan's Golden Sanctum acupoint. Eight clusters, each as large as a disc, hovered above his head, radiating with the brilliance of flames. The room's temperature skyrocketed!

Yu Yuan's lips twitched slightly. "Come out!" he commanded.

The dark cauldron soared from the little world of vitality, floating before his chest. It spun gently, its engraved glyphs springing to life. They bore the process of the Bane's refinement, the birth of malice, and the myriad emotions of intelligent life.

The suspended hall glowed with a mysterious light, powerful enough to deter countless souls.

With a whoosh, a woman with an elongated upper body and a scorpion-like lower half emerged from the cauldron, her ice-blue crystalline form causing the room's temperature to plummet. As the cold and heat collided, mist spontaneously formed.

The Bane, devoid of human emotions, gazed at the eight clusters of sunfire with an innate revulsion. The cauldron spirit's thoughts echoed in Yu Yuan's Heart Lake, engaging in a continuous exchange with him.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Thin strands of ice-blue lightning, reminiscent of fishing lines, surged from the Dark Realm and struck the sunfire clusters, igniting a conflict.

Yu Yuan winced, a sharp pain throbbing in his forehead. He felt a piercing sensation, akin to an ice needle stabbing into his acupoint, as the lightning made contact with the sunfire.

The eight clusters of sunfire were enveloped in orbs of his purified spiritual energy. The outer layer consisted of his spiritual energy convergence and the projection of his consciousness, while at the very heart lay the sunfire itself.

In that instant, the ice-blue lightning delved into the sunfire, shattering any remnants of the Abyssal Leviathan's imprints that might have lingered within.

With a resounding boom, something hard within the sunfire clusters burst open.

Sensing the destruction of the remnant soul, Yu Yuan's face lit up with excitement. "Did it work?" he asked eagerly.

"It worked!" came the response from the artifact soul of the cauldron.

After casting her spell, the Bane, exuding a chilling presence, vanished in a flash, retreating to the tranquility of the cauldron's little world to lie dormant once again.

Without the cauldron spirit's summons, it would never emerge on its own.

"Hu! Hu! Hu!"

Yu Yuan's mind shifted, and the eight clusters of sunfire danced around his head, as nimble as if he were moving his own arms.

The previous sense of stagnation was no longer present.

Protected by the River and Rock Ward, Yu Yuan could fearlessly refine the eight clusters of sunfire on Celestial Isle.

Otherwise, he feared that upon releasing the sunfire, the Abyssal Leviathan would detect it and immediately forsake him.

He suddenly realized that the sunfire within the Abyssal Leviathan was manipulated by the beast itself. This cosmic giant beast, if unwilling, would prevent the Nine Glories Wheel from extracting even a trace of sunfire from its Eye of the Burning Sun.

Yu Yuan now understood that the sunfire within him was part of the Abyssal Leviathan's scheme, designed to monitor his location and actions within the Embers Sea.

Even beyond the Embers Sea, the Abyssal Leviathan could still sense his whereabouts through the Eye of the Burning Sun.

Only now, with the Bane's assistance and the opposing currents of the Dark Realm, had he managed to erase the Abyssal Leviathan's mark within the sunfire.

From this point forward, the eight clusters of sunfire truly belonged to him.

"With the threat removed, I can now leave Celestial Isle unnoticed. The Abyssal Leviathan and my betrothed will be hard-pressed to track my movements."

Yu Yuan rose from his seated position, feeling light and unburdened.

"It's been several days, and Yuanyuan still hasn't returned."

Lifting his eyelids, he strode to the door. As he opened it, he was greeted by the sight of Jiang Yurong about to knock.

"I was just about to look for you."

Jiang Yurong paused, taken aback by Yu Yuan's swift reaction, surprised that he had detected her silent approach. "Ms. Yuan sent me to deliver a message. She, along with Lord Faang Yao and her father, have returned to Demon's Scar Island. She intends to use the island's volcano to practice a dark art."

"She asked you to wait for her here on Celestial Isle for half a month. In about that time, she should be able to join you, and then you can both head back to the Forgotten Ruins together."

"Head to Demon's Scar to practice the dark arts?" Yu Yuan was taken aback. "Has a new guardian been appointed to Demon's Scar?"

"Not yet. Faang Yao is currently in charge there, but he wasn't appointed by the Ruby Hand," Jiang Yurong clarified. "Also, there are quite a few people eager to meet with you."

"Who?" inquired Yu Yuan, intrigued.

"Tong Laoqian, and there's someone from the Starmoon Sect who wishes to see you," Jiang Yurong paused, then added, "The Dark Herald from the Devil Palace has also expressed a desire to meet with you."

After a moment's thought, Yu Yuan asked, "Where can I find Tong Laoqian? I promised him he'd be the first I'd meet."

"Tong Laoqian is on the island, wandering around the hall where various artifacts are sold. He's been hanging around there for the last three days," Jiang Yurong said with a light laugh. "His Jade Tower was destroyed, so he's likely looking to gather magic items to repair it. Buying a new one would be impractical for him."

"I'll go look for him." Yu Yuan nodded and, with Jiang Yurong leading the way, left the pavilion that had been specially arranged for him by the Chamber of Commerce.

"I've been around lately. The higher-ups have instructed that you're free to roam the island without having to pay any additional soulstones," Jiang Yurong informed him. "This room will be kept for you for some time. You're welcome to return whenever you wish. However, should you need to use the teleportation circle to get back to the Forgotten Ruins, you'll have to pay the standard soulstone fee."

Yu Yuan nodded occasionally as she spoke, signaling his understanding of the Chamber's policies.

Before long, under her escort, Yu Yuan stepped out into the open.

As he stepped forward, the world seemed to suddenly clear, and he instantly knew he had left the confines of the River and Rock Ward and was truly standing on Celestial Isle.

"I'll wander around on my own."

With that, he confidently made his way toward the Chamber of Commerce's artifact-selling hall.

Jiang Yurong watched his departing figure with a hint of astonishment. "I never told him where the hall was, nor did he ask. Yet, he moves as if he knows the island's layout by heart, familiar with every special hall and building. It's as if he's been here many times before."

She guessed correctly; Yu Yuan had visited the Celestial Isle countless times in his past life.

Before ascending to the role of Sect Master within the Order of Healing, he spent a considerable period refining medicine on neighboring Healing Island. The pills he crafted were directly sold through the Skyreach Consortium.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed wandering the Celestial Isle, examining the remnants of rune circles, searching for rare Aetherfruit and spiritual herbs to incorporate into new pill recipes, seeking out spells, and attempting to embark on the path of cultivation.

In the twilight of his life, having undergone a profound change in mindset, he delved into the nefarious study of poisons, acquiring many dread-inducing toxins on the Celestial Isle.

The layout of the Celestial Isle, with its various halls and pavilions, was etched into his memory.

"Lee Yu!"

As he walked past a hall dedicated to showcasing pills, his keen eyes spotted an old acquaintance in ragged clothing being badgered by a silver-haired, broad-shouldered man.

Lee Yu was disinclined to engage, sitting stoically on a stone platform with an icy demeanor.

The large man prattled on incessantly, disrupting Lee Yu's peace and preventing him from settling into his cultivation practice.

Observers from the Consortium, clad in their distinctive robes, watched the scene unfold with an air of indifference.

The large man refrained from physical confrontation, merely causing a verbal disturbance, which did not violate the isle's rules, so the onlookers remained silent despite witnessing the event.

Additionally, they seemed aware of Lee Yu's origins, recognizing him as a scion of the nearly annihilated Lee family.

"He's actually in the Sundering Isles!"

A smile broke across Yu Yuan's face as he altered his pace and quickly made his way toward Lee Yu, calling out from a distance, "How come you're on the Celestial Isle? You know I'm here too. Why didn't you have the Consortium send word so we could catch up?"

Annoyed as he was, Lee Yu's eyes flickered open at the sound of the familiar voice. Upon seeing the Sage in person, he felt a surge of excitement.

But the thrill was fleeting, vanishing within seconds.

Lee Yu, recalling his aunt's words, sighed inwardly. As Yu Yuan approached with confident strides, Lee Yu felt a wave of uncertainty wash over him, unsure of how to respond or whether it was appropriate to keep his distance.

"Who is this individual?"

The silver-haired giant, swords in hand, glanced sideways at Yu Yuan and furrowed his brow. "Another greenhorn, could he be from the Lee family too?"

Musing to himself, a cold smirk played upon his lips as he murmured, "If so, this kid's in for some bad luck!"
