C835 My Soul will Enter Your Body!

The blue shadow wafted through the skies of the Land of Terror, with death permeating the air.

Every ghost and soul fled in terror at the words of Tian Zang.

Those who failed to escape in time were engulfed by the blue shadows like flies, leaving not a single ripple as they perished in the depths of the Spawn of Chaos.

If the top-ranked white-robed Spectres stood no chance of resistance, what hope did the others have?

Their fear stemmed from the fact that Tian Zang was neither a ghost born of the Land of Terror nor a transformed being from the Everlands, but rather a cruel and cold-blooded Star-Spawned Terror.

Deep down, they revered and trembled before the Star-Spawned Terror.

Tian Zang, with his sapphire-skinned, razor-toothed visage, transformed the River of Souls into a dazzling Star River, and he couldn't stop grinning malevolently.

As the sole surviving Demon God of the Azurefiend, he had witnessed the decline of his kind.

He had infiltrated the Everlands multiple times and had seen humans rise at an inconceivable pace, overtaking the evilkind and the Nagas to become the dominant force in this realm and across the entire Star River.

He had been subdued by the entity within the bronze coffin.

Regrettably, the tides of time shifted too swiftly, and even the Boulderdawn was expelled from the Everlands by a coalition of the five greatest forces, leading to his imprisonment in the Moonfall Sanctuary.

Countless years had passed in the blink of an eye.

At last, he could finally breathe freely and fully express his ambitions. How could he not be thrilled?

Back when he was a Star-Spawned Terror, he had ascended to the level of a Demon God. A Demon God of the Sky Fiend race was on par with the Unbound realm of humans and the ninth level of the archdemons of the evilkind.

His combat prowess was equivalent to his current status as a Ghost King.

Yet, to break free from the Moonfall Sanctuary, his realm as a Demon God had plummeted. After his escape, he was besieged by the three upper sects and, left with no choice, entered the Land of Terror to practice necromancy.

Unexpectedly, this detour opened up a whole new path for him.

He traversed the Everlands with ease, amassing his strength in secret.

When the bronze coffin emerged, chaos enveloped the Everlands, and the Land of Terror became fertile ground for the birth of the God of Ghosts.

He had waited for it all.

At last, the hardship had given way to sweet victory!

"Hu!"

At the mere flicker of his intention, the blue shadow surged back, engulfing another ancient ghost loyal to Dhoreus.

Another of Dhoreus's followers perished miserably behind the white robe.

"Dhoreus, I stand on the River of Souls you command. If you wish to vie for the title of God of Ghosts, come and battle me."

Tian Zang, standing atop the Blood Altar, declared with a menacing aura, "It's time to rewrite the rules of this world. Dhoreus, your time is up. Let it go."

Cao Jiaze was sent reeling back, the white robe was slain, and the ghosts, who had just pledged fervent allegiance to Dhoreus, were now scattered by Tian Zang's lethal threat.

Who could possibly stand against Tian Zang now?

Yu Yuan, gripping his sword sheath, sensed the fresh sword light and sword's will emanating from its base, stirring an odd emotion within him.

Was this the end?

Tian Zang's emergence and his claim over the Blood Altar rendered Yu Yuan's schemes with White Bone and his pact with the Root of the Lunar Meridian both laughable and obsolete.

With Tian Zang resolving every issue, there was nothing left for Yu Yuan to address.

Yet, Tian Zang showed him such reverence, all on account of the bronze coffin's decree.

"I have truly witnessed the might of the Boulderdawn Sect."

Luo Yue's soul form emerged from within the flower basket, grasping it once more. She beamed at Yu Yuan and asked, "Rhutar, will you take action yourself, or shall I?"

Yu Yuan turned to gaze at the golden-armored ghost flickering in the nearby sky, hesitant to flee.

Rhutar's evasion was due to the blue shadow spawned from the Spawn of Chaos, and his reluctance to leave stemmed from the absence of Dhoreus's command.

Despite Dhoreus's compromised position, Rhutar's deep-seated respect and fear held him back.

"Let me handle this."

Yu Yuan's heart surged with a desire for vengeance as he recalled the brutal spectacle of Rhutar tearing apart Lee Yuchan's Lunar Spirit. With determination, he said, "Let's go."

Borne by the Crucible of Evil, he gripped the sword sheath in one hand and charged toward Rhutar.

"Brat, are you courting death?"

Rhutar's howl echoed as a distant Shadow Mountain erupted with a thunderous boom. He summoned his power and cast a mystique.

A golden rain began to drizzle from the heavens.

The rain fell upon the Crucible of Evil, which Yu Yuan was steering, causing the dark magic shield to crackle and spark.

"Not enough."

Yu Yuan's face was a mask of cold resolve as he shook his head. "Is that all you've got, Rhutar? You think a few soul blades can harm my soul? I've told you before, I will end you, and I'll do it in the style you're accustomed to!"

Whoosh!

In an instant, thousands of Bane arranged themselves into a Soul Nexus, pouring forth from the crucible.

At the heart of the Soul Nexus, the Blood Moon, transformed from the Second Bane, shone like a blood-red crescent.

The eerie array formed by the Bane enveloped Rhutar from a distance. Inside, a torrent of malevolent spiritual energy erupted, sweeping over him like an ocean.

Rhutar's golden-armored giant form, and the soul within, were instantly contorted by the onslaught.

This ancient ghost, a loyal servant of Dhoreus, was bombarded by a myriad of disordered thoughts in the blink of an eye.

Every refined remnant soul, every memory and ounce of power, was now saturated with alien negative energy that could unhinge and drive him into a frenzy.

At that moment, Yu Yuan aimed his sword sheath directly at him.

As the Spiritrend gathered strength, with Yu Yuan's Soul Power, vitality, and spiritual energy merging, and his chest's seven acupoints along with the Shadow Moon Essence resonating, every ghost attuned to the sword's will experienced a chilling premonition of their imminent demise.

Even Luo Yue, who had been vigilantly protecting him, fearing any mishap, felt her complexion pale.

The mere presence of the sword's will was enough to make her feel as though her soul was on the brink of shattering. Such was the terror of this sword.

Luo Yue suddenly realized why even a formidable entity like White Bone considered Yu Yuan an ally. White Bone sought to utilize Yu Yuan's sword sheath and a specific sword spell to activate the residual sword light left by the Moon Slayer cultivator, aiming to obliterate Dhoreus.

The sword's will was cultivated specifically to counteract ghosts such as herself, White Bone, and Dhoreus. Its destructive force surpassed even that of thunder and lightning!

"Your Highness!"

"Your Highness!"

The remaining ancient ghosts dared not depart, their eyes fixed on Dhoreus with anticipation.

In that moment, Dhoreus, towering in stature, gazed upon the River of Souls with a stern expression. He watched Tian Zang standing on the Blood Altar, as if he were treading on Dhoreus's fatal weakness.

"Either come and battle me, or withdraw from the struggle for supremacy in the Land of Terror and henceforth obey my commands," Tian Zang declared, locking eyes with him across the distance. "As long as I remain within the River of Souls, you cannot teleport. And I will gradually grind down the River of Souls, shattering the Horcrux upon which your existence depends."

"Shatter it?" Dhoreus's face contorted with alarm.

White Bone's expression shifted subtly as well.

The River of Souls, much like Dhoreus, was believed to have originated from the Root of the Lunar Meridian. It was essentially the embodiment of the Land of Terror's will, a soul weapon capable of earth-shattering power.

In the past, when Dhoreus faced the Moon Slayer cultivator, he had restrained himself to avoid damaging the River of Souls. He was acutely aware of the deep connection between the River of Souls and the Land of Terror; it could not be separated from the Land of Terror for extended periods.

Likewise, this artifact was not to be damaged.

Dhoreus could face death or extinction, but the River of Souls must never be allowed to shatter.

"White Bone, you heard that, didn't you?" Dhoreus, in his soul form, suddenly turned to the silent White Bone Spectre. "I know you're fighting on its behalf. And I'm well aware that it would never allow the River of Souls to be desecrated, nor would it tolerate a Star-Spawned Terror reigning over it."

"What do you propose?" White Bone inquired faintly.

"I need to borrow your frame, to let my soul take residence within you."

"If you dare, then be my guest and enter," White Bone challenged.

"At this point, what is there left for me to fear?"

Whoosh!

In an instant, Dhoreus's soul plunged into White Bone's body, and the souls of the two Ghost Kings, once equals in power a millennium ago, now fused within a single, luminescent skeleton.
