C917

Hmm!

Nestled among the mountains of the Terror Claws, numerous otherkin with robust physiques and archdemons from the Godsblight Marsh sensed an ominous premonition.

Those with formidable bodies and unique bloodlines instinctively turned their gaze toward Fiendpeak.

Atop the summit, a colossal flower, composed of radiant light, blossomed into brilliance.

No one's sight or Soul Power could penetrate the dazzling glow to see what was transpiring at the peak.

Zhongli Dapan and others concerned for Yu Yuan converged towards Fiendpeak.

"There's no need."

Golden eyes opened in the void, shining like twin suns.

"President Lyi!" the crowd gasped in recognition.

The voice belonged to none other than the host of the grand trade fair—President Lyi.

Clad in a white robe, President Lyi cast a brief glance at Fiendpeak's summit and reassured everyone with a serene smile, "There's no cause for alarm. It's nothing."

Upon President Lyi's esteemed words, the once-tense crowd found solace and their worries eased.

At the mountain's summit.

Canli, the saintess of the Dawnbringers, smiled subtly, "Your mastery over the Altar of Rebirth leaves much to be desired. It seems you're unaware of its true longing and needs."

As she spoke, strands of light wove together within the God of Light, manifesting myriad transformations of luminosity.

In an instant, the God of Light burst forth with a divine brilliance too intense for even the deities to gaze upon directly.

A pure, tranquilizing, and purifying light emanated, banishing any trace of darkness.

Yu Yuan, previously consumed by brutality and impatience, along with his Altar of Rebirth, swiftly returned to a state of clarity and reason.

Taken aback, Yu Yuan hastily refocused his intentions. "Stop!"

The spinning Altar of Rebirth, which had been casting out streams of crimson light, came to an abrupt halt near the God of Light.

Canli let out a soft laugh as her God of Light retreated back into her chest.

"Different Altars of Rebirth may attract one another, but my God of Light shares no such bond with yours," Canli said, her demeanor unflustered. "Your altar craves my bloodline intensely. Yu Yuan, let me offer you a heartfelt piece of advice."

"Seek the lifeblood of diverse races. The quantity need not be substantial, but a greater variety is preferable."

"Strive to have the lifeblood of various otherkin consumed and assimilated by it. Only through such means can it rapidly mature and bring you unforeseen wonders."

"Altars of Rebirth may vary in their effects, but their fundamental core is strikingly similar."

"The God of Light within me grows stronger by absorbing various types of light: sunlight, starlight, moonlight, the glow of flames, candlelight, and the radiance of crystals. Any source of illumination can be harnessed by the God of Light."

"The greater the variety, the more it enhances growth."

"Similarly, your Altar of Rebirth requires the collection of vitality from the creatures of the Everlands and the bloodlines of every living species from the extraterrestrial Star River."

The saintess of the Dawnbringers gazed at the ruby-like Altar of Rebirth and offered sound advice.

Yu Yuan was taken aback, "Gathering various lifebloods can accelerate its growth?"

"Primarily, it's the hearts of different life species that are needed," Canli said with a low laugh. "As you know, the heart is the source of power for extraterrestrial races. The heart is the most potent, followed by the lifeblood."

"It can grow and evolve?" Yu Yuan pressed further.

Canli nodded, "The marvels of the Altar of Rebirth can only be truly appreciated by its possessor. Furthermore, each Altar of Rebirth has its own unique, wondrous properties."

After a brief pause, Canli added, "Oh, and a word of caution: be wary of the Blood Fiend patriarch!"

"Why?" Yu Yuan asked, his brow furrowing.

"He possesses an Altar of Rebirth within him, with traits and qualities that intriguingly mirror yours." Canli's expression grew grave as she spoke, "I have an intuition that if he encounters you and detects the presence of your Altar of Rebirth, he will stop at nothing to annihilate you and assimilate your altar."

"He is the Demon God of the Star-Spawned Terror; you stand no chance against him."

With those words, the dazzling light atop the mountain peak began to fade.

Startled, Yu Yuan quickly retracted the Altar of Rebirth into his little world of vitality. "Does the Blood Fiend patriarch's altar share the same origin as mine?"

"Not necessarily the same origin, but they bear a strong resemblance. In my judgment, they could potentially merge," Canli explained.

Yu Yuan fell into deep contemplation.

"Furthermore, the Blood Fiend is an aberrant offshoot of the Star-Spawned Terror. Though they belong to the Sky Fiend lineage, they possess corporeal bodies," Canli elaborated. "The Blood Fiend's approach to the Everlands is distinct from that of the Starborn and us. They espouse the annihilation of the Everlands and stand in opposition to Boulderdawn and the other five supreme powers."

"Alright, I just wanted to see your Altar of Rebirth, and now I have," she said, not allowing Yu Yuan a moment to question her further. She transformed into a beam of light, descending toward the base of the mountain.

"Saintess!"

The Dawnbringers' warriors, clad in their shining silver armor, hurried to welcome her.

"I don't see what you're all worried about. That man is no match for me," Canli grumbled. "Since I'm here, I might as well try my luck and see if there's any mysterious light I've never encountered before. Oh, how I wish my God of Light would grow stronger faster."

Surrounded by the warriors and amidst Chen Langzhi's obsequious, ingratiating grin, she began to roam the mountains.

At the mountain's peak, Yu Yuan sat down, his brow furrowed in deep thought. Canli's explanation of the "Altar of Rebirth" had unlocked a door to a world of mystery for him, revealing that each Altar of Rebirth was unique.

He also learned that the current leader of the Blood Fiend Clan had one inherently similar to his own, and that there was a possibility they could merge.

His own Altar of Rebirth, forged from the essence of a giant beast, Sunsorrow, might contain the machinations of the Abyssal Leviathan. If he collected the lifeblood of various races and integrated it into the Altar of Rebirth, allowing it to flourish and grow, would the Abyssal Leviathan descend from the heavens to harvest the mature fruit?

For some reason, he always felt that the cosmic giant beast, which roamed the vast Everlands, had ulterior motives concerning him. Occasionally, he sensed that the cosmic giant beast, even from the distant reaches of the extraterrestrial Star River, kept an eye on him, and at times, seemed to watch him closely.

After a long contemplation, he leapt into action. If gathering the lifeblood of various races would aid in the growth and transformation of his Altar of Rebirth, he was willing to experiment.

Especially now, while the grand trade fair was still underway and the otherkin were present.

Thus, he descended into the mountains in search of the otherkin's lifeblood to purchase.

...

Moonfall Sanctuary.

Yan Qiling concentrated Soul Power, applying it to the suspended Evil Statue, which bore a somewhat gentler aspect.

A small, dark green flower struggled to emerge on the Moon Soul-crafted statue, revealing its unique wonder.

Despite repeated efforts, success remained elusive.

The visage of the statue, both benevolent and ferocious, was indistinct.

After yet another failure, Yan Qiling flicked his finger at the barely visible greenish-black flower, which, like a reflection in water, dispersed at the touch of a pebble.

"Mr. Yan, Mr. Yan," Liu Ying of the Starmoon Sect called out, standing atop the Fallen Star Eyes, her voice tinged with hesitation. "I've said all that I needed to say. May I have your permission to leave now? Yu Yuan instructed me to report what I've witnessed to my master, but I must depart the forbidden area first."

Yan Qiling's expression was dark as he gazed skyward, unresponsive for a considerable time.

Feeling helpless, Liu Ying could do nothing but wait for him to regain his composure.

"Could there have been some disturbance beyond our world?" Yan Qiling finally spoke, as if snapping out of a trance. "Return to the Starmoon Sect. Whether you choose to share what you've seen or not, it makes no difference."

"Am I free to go now?" Liu Ying asked, her voice brightening.

Yan Qiling gave a nod, then soared into the heavens. Upon exiting the Moonfall Sanctuary, he cleaved through the sky with a spatial blade and in an instant, set foot in the Star River of the extraterrestrial realm.
