C923 His Combat Strength Skyrocketed!
Yu Yuan extracted another bottle of lifeblood and integrated it into the Altar of Rebirth.
The dark green lifeblood of the enchantress, drawn from one who had attained the eighth level, was clearly labeled on the bottle. Upon its initial fusion with the Altar of Rebirth, it stained a section of the altar in the same dark green hue.
The altar then sprang to life, drawing countless scarlet bolts of lightning from every direction.
The dark green quickly succumbed to the scarlet onslaught, each drop of lifeblood torn asunder by the fierce lightning.
In short order, the lifeblood of the eighth level enchantress was refined and dissolved by the Altar of Rebirth.
Throughout the process, Yu Yuan distinctly heard the melodious singing of enchantresses, as if witnessing a myriad of wondrous symbols emerging from the depths of the altar.
Specks of dark green light, imbued with the Altar's psionic power of creation, surged toward his Mindscape.
His Lunar Spirit, dominant soul, and heaven soul, having previously undergone a similar experience, eagerly consumed the dark green light.
Like a refreshing downpour, Yu Yuan's soul was immensely soothed!
He noticed a significant enhancement in his Lunar Spirit, while his heaven soul, not yet transformed into the Solar Spirit, grew increasingly perceptive, as if radiating with the glow of wisdom.
"Exquisite!"
He realized that by harnessing the power of the Altar of Rebirth and continuously absorbing the various lifeblood essences gifted by Ann Ziqing, he could smoothly advance to the late period of the Lunar Spirit realm.
He might even achieve the Spirit Walk!
Without the need for prolonged cultivation or tireless effort, the Altar of Rebirth within him alone could fulfill his desires.
He then proceeded to extract lifeblood from the Starborn, Dawnbringers, and Shura. Each bottle contained the essence of eighth and seventh level Otherkin. As it entered the Altar of Rebirth, he was met with either thunderous battle cries, ancient godly chants, or an endless cascade of light, along with glimmering crystals and symbols revealing the bloodline mysteries.
As the lifeblood was refined, Yu Yuan found himself in a trance, as if lost in an enchanting dream.
Once purified, the brilliant essence and divine luster that emerged infused his very bones and flesh.
Beneath his skin, his bones had acquired minuscule markings invisible to the naked eye, as a mysterious divine light cleansed the depths of his flesh and blood.
The Lunar Spirit, Heaven Soul, and Dominant Soul continued to reap the benefits of this transformation.
"It's a pity that you were originally from the Everlands, not from an extraterrestrial race, nor a hybrid..."
Canli watched him intently, her gaze sparkling as she sensed the minute changes within him. "The remarkable psionic power within the lifeblood has been distilled and assimilated into your soul, flesh, and bones, enhancing you in every way and elevating your very existence."
Yu Yuan opened his eyes and exclaimed, "It's an incredibly magical sensation!"
He had the impression that merely with the lifeblood vials from the storage bag, he could significantly improve both his cultivation level and the robustness of his flesh and blood!
"Does everyone with an Altar of Rebirth strengthen themselves in this way?" he inquired with curiosity.
"Absolutely!" Canli affirmed with pride. "In the Infinite Galaxy, the elite of various races from the same era who possess an Altar of Rebirth are few, not much more than the combined number of Primordial Spirits and Dark Deities from the Everlands. As the crème de la crème, they can certainly use the Altar of Rebirth to enhance themselves comprehensively."
She paused briefly before adding, "If you were a member of the Blood Fiend, integrating this lifeblood would likely elevate your bloodline by at least one level! For instance, from the sixth level to the seventh, or even from the seventh level to the eighth, since the lifeblood you've refined comes from seventh and eighth-level Otherkin."
"Their lifeblood, now merged with your Altar of Rebirth and diffused throughout your flesh and bones, should have other stimulating effects on you."
Canli appeared contemplative as she spoke, carefully choosing her words.
"What kind of stimulation might that be?" Yu Yuan couldn't help but inquire.
"Well, the lifeblood of the Shadowkin, Enchantresses, Dawnbringers, and Shura, due to your lack of a unique bloodline, may not offer direct, tangible benefits. However, the profound intricacies of their lifeblood are deeply etched into your soul and body."
As you continue to practice your spells and delve into the intricacies of Mind Magic, honing your combat skills, you may experience numerous flashes of insight. These so-called epiphanies might not stem from your own understanding but rather from the stirring of the lifeblood imprints of the masters.
Take, for instance, when you're cultivating the Boulderdawn's mystique and suddenly, an area that was once unclear becomes crystal clear. This could very well be the guiding light of the Shadowkin and enchantress' souls, awakening and enlightening you.
Consider the Evil Body Refining technique you've used to temper your physique. In the heat of battle, you might instinctively employ a fist technique you've never used before.
These could be the distinctive combat skills of the Shura or the transformative arts of the Dawnbringers," Canli elaborated.
Yu Yuan listened intently, mulling over her words, and gradually, he began to understand. The lifeblood essences refined by his Altar of Rebirth had not only significantly enhanced his spirit and body but also promised to exert a more profound influence.
The quintessence imprinted on his spirited body could prove beneficial in the future, aiding him in fully grasping Spirit Magic and mastering an array of sophisticated combat skills.
"My Altar of Rebirth seems to have grown denser, becoming both heavier and more radiant," he remarked.
"That's to be expected. The lifeblood contributes to its growth and metamorphosis. Your increasing strength and the tempering of your flesh and blood will also support it," Canli observed, continuing, "The chieftain of the Blood Fiend can morph into any Otherkin and wield their blood magic."
"He relies on an Altar of Rebirth much like yours, drawing on his extraordinary bloodline to unlock the profound secrets within the lifeblood of the Otherkin, deciphering their innate talents and harnessing them."
"What makes him formidable is his knowledge of the various races' bloodline secrets, allowing him to tailor his attacks to exploit his opponents' weaknesses," Canli said, her tone betraying a hint of awe.
Yu Yuan was astounded. "Is that even possible?"
The Blood Fiend patriarch, with his Altar of Rebirth, could assume the forms of diverse Otherkin powerhouses, employing their bloodline talents and arcane skills.
"He recently bested the Moonfang Tiger of Shadow's Keep in the extraterrestrial Star River," Canli confirmed with a nod. "Had the Dark Phoenix not arrived in time, the Astral Tiger would have sustained far graver injuries. Remember, the leader of the Blood Fiend was vehemently against collaborating with Boulderdawn and President Lyi. He's set on invading the Everlands to bring about its destruction."
"There are many who believe that partnering with Boulderdawn is akin to negotiating with a tiger for its hide."
"I suspect that..."
Canli trailed off, leaving her thought unfinished.
"Hellmouth?" Yu Yuan exclaimed in surprise.
The Moonfang Tiger, the pride of Shadow's Keep and Zhao Yafu's master—a tenth-level Dark Deity who had advanced over the past millennium—was not even a match for the Patriarch of the Blood Fiend.
If this individual opposed the alliance, they could very well be an obstacle.
Canli nodded in agreement. "It's likely."
At that moment, a commotion erupted from the distant area where the Domain Channel was located.
Yu Yuan and Canli exchanged a glance, each summoning their Crucible of Evil. They transformed into beams of light and sped toward the disturbance.
Canli reached the gaping pit ahead of Yu Yuan, who was maneuvering the Crucible of Evil. She grimaced at the sight of severed limbs and decapitated heads floating up from the abyss.
"My lord!"
A Stoneborn clansman cried out in anguish upon seeing a massive, granite-like head.
"Kro!"
Beru, the Starfallen Oracle of the Starborn, stared at an arm adorned with a star-patterned bracelet, his expression turning grim. "He was my most faithful follower! What on earth happened at the Hellmouth?"
Shimmering fragments of silver armor also emerged from the pit, their brilliance piercing the gloom.
With just a glance, Canli recognized them as belonging to her guard, who had been assigned to meet her at the Hellmouth.
Members of the Shadowkin, Enchantress, and Silverscale Tribe gathered around the pit, wailing in despair. They recognized their dear friends and acquaintances among the scattered remains.
The bodies and heads drifting from the other end confirmed Yu Yuan and Canli's suspicions: the issue with the Domain Channel leading to the Hellmouth did not originate from the Moonfall Sanctuary.
"We must seek assistance from Boulderdawn," declared Beru resolutely.
