C95 Sword Qi Overflowed the Sky

"You're speaking quite boldly."

Feng Xin glided through the void, surrounded by thousands of delicate green lightning bolts that danced like ribbons adorning her attire. The green flames in her eyes surged with intensity.

Within those flames, a faint gray figure could be seen screaming in agony, as if its soul were being consumed by the fire, fueling her imposing presence.

This gray figure, ablaze with energy, represented Feng Xin's true three souls of heaven, earth, and man.

The Moonfiend, having taken over Feng Xin's body, traversed the world with her form and used her soul to augment its own power.

"Crack!"

Suddenly, the multitude of slender green lightning bolts around her divided into hundreds.

These hundreds of lightning strands morphed into figures of green-clad girls mid-air. Some cradled lutes, others danced gracefully, some whispered softly, while some brandished long swords.

All these girls, clad in green, bore the likeness of Su Yan upon closer inspection.

Yet, these numerous figures were only a third of the size of the real Su Yan.

At first glance, the sight of hundreds of Su Yans converging on Yu Yuan from every direction was quite bizarre.

Su Yan, clad in her Celestial Plume Raiment and shielding Yu Yuan with her expansive wings, suddenly flushed with a rosy blush and muttered under her breath, "Shameless extraterrestrial fiend!"

Zhan Tianxiang and Han Hui were equally taken aback.

Among the multitude of 'little Su Yans,' there were more than a dozen completely naked figures.

These too were in the likeness of Su Yan.

The dozen or so naked figures stood out starkly against the hundreds, their skin as luminous as polished jade, drawing the eye and stirring the imagination.

It seemed as though the hundreds of Su Yans were there to highlight these few.

Such a ploy was clearly the Moonfiend's way of exploiting the darker corners of the human heart.

Zhan Tianxiang, initially shocked, soon found himself sneakily glancing at the dozen little Su Yans.

Even Su Yan herself and Han Hui couldn't help but give the dozen little figures a few extra looks.

The more they watched, the more they felt compelled to look closer, sinking deeper into the trap.

And in that moment, Feng Xin, whose body had been seized by the Moonfiend, vanished without a trace.

"Don't look!"

Yu Yuan's shout erupted suddenly, his voice booming like a great bell that resonated in the minds of all present.

His heaven soul vibrated, subtly echoing the remnant soul of the sword light in his arm, reaching directly into the heart and soul.

Zhan Tianxiang, Su Yan, and Han Hui were jolted awake in an instant, quickly realizing they had been ensnared by the Moonfiend's spell.

At this pivotal moment in the battle, they found their minds preoccupied with extraneous thoughts.

Their focus and attention had been scattered.

"Moonfiend!"

The only other person who had not fallen under the spell, besides Yu Yuan, was Zhao Yafu.

She watched as a young Su Yan, fervently playing a lute, transformed before her eyes into Feng Xin.

The vanished Feng Xin, or rather the Moonfiend, seemed to manifest through the image of the young Su Yan.

"Clang!"

The lute's music crescendoed, urgent and soaring, like an army of thousands charging, drowning out all other sounds.

The next second, everyone's minds were involuntarily filled with the terrifying vision of a billion-strong army charging, the earth shaking, the sky darkening, and the sand swirling in a tumultuous roar.

The overwhelming aura of slaughter and the army's resolute intent to annihilate heaven and earth surged like a torrent toward the three souls of each person.

Han Hui clutched her head and let out a terrified scream.

Her mental defenses crumbled instantly, unable to maintain her inner strength.

A mysterious golden light emerged from Zhan Tianxiang's brow, and the totem of the Golden Elephant God appeared, aiding him in withstanding the Moonfiend's soul onslaught.

Su Yan let out a muffled groan and suddenly drew her wings close.

The wings enveloped her completely, cocooning her as if she were nestled within a massive egg cloaked in white feathers.

Yu Yuan, facing a mortal threat, was instinctively left to fend for himself outside the protective barrier of feathers.

"Be careful," he cautioned Zhao Yafu, before flashing a wry smile and extending his right hand toward Feng Xin, who continued to play the lute.

His arm bones glowed red-hot, and the sword light etched into them flared up, shining with the blinding brilliance of a burning sun.

Onlookers could see that Yu Yuan's raised right arm had points of light, each the size of a fingertip, glowing intensely as if countless suns had been refined, reduced by billions in size, and sealed within the joints of his arm.

At that moment, an ancient and boundless sword's will permeated the heavens and the earth.

The space itself seemed incapable of containing the immense sword's will.

The once chaotic and disordered divine force became a thousand times more tumultuous with the birth of the sword's will.

Numerous Su Yans were shredded by the rampant divine force, transforming into green specks of light that sprayed in every direction, disintegrating into ash before they could even touch the ground.

Elsewhere, Lee Yu, Yan Lu, Lin Zhuyun, and the other trial-takers gazed in stunned silence.

Yu Yuan remained unchanged in appearance, stature, and status.

Yet, in the instant he pointed at Feng Xin, it was as if everything had transformed.

To the onlookers, Yu Yuan now seemed like a Grand Sword Immortal who had stepped right out of an ancient epoch.

With a sword's will that cleaved through the cosmos and a sword qi that commanded the respect of all beings, he established the tenets of swordsmanship and imparted wisdom to humanity.

The Gutrender, reclaimed by Lee Yu, hummed with its sword spirit, as if a junior recounting tales to an elder.

Hundreds of Su Yans were reduced to green lights, torn asunder by the sword's will.

Only Feng Xin, clutching her lute, remained, her form encircled by delicate green lightning that disintegrated first.

Afterward, Feng Xin's corporeal form was scoured by the relentless spiritual energy.

"Puff, puff, puff!" The sounds of bursting emanated from within Feng Xin.

Green smoke, mingled with droplets of blood, chunks of flesh, and bone debris, wafted away from her.

Feng Xin's hands reached for the green smoke and the moonlight above.

The moonlight, like water, slipped through her fingers without vanishing.

The green smoke, entwined with her blood and bones, also began to drift away, disintegrating into nothingness after traveling ten meters.

A sigh emerged from within Feng Xin's head.

"Crack!" A sharp noise signaled the bursting of her head.

A green wraith burst forth, scattering into countless green points of light within a second.

"Moonfiend!"

"The fleeing Moonfiend!"

"The residual soul of the Moonfiend!"

The crowd erupted in excitement, sensing that victory was now within reach.

After witnessing Yu Yuan's attack, everyone was convinced that in the next instant, the millions of green light points would suddenly go out, and all the remnant souls would be annihilated.

Yet Yu Yuan, upon whom they had pinned their high hopes and who was displaying the might of a Grand Sword Immortal wielding his sword, suddenly crashed to the ground.

When Yu Yuan fell, it felt to everyone as though the towering mountain that had loomed over their lives had abruptly crumbled.

"Our level of cultivation is too low to sustain the sword's will for an extended period," Lee Yu lamented.
