C95 Sword Qi Overflowed the Sky

"You're full of big talk," Fong Xin declared, gliding through the void. Around her, thousands of delicate green lightning bolts danced like ribbons adorning her garments, while deep within her eyes, green flames raged fiercely.

A gray figure could be faintly seen within the flames, screaming in agony as if its soul were being consumed, fueling her formidable presence. This figure, ablaze, was none other than the true essence of Fong Xin's three souls.

The Moon Demon, having usurped Fong Xin's body, now traversed the world with her form and bolstered its own strength with her soul.

With a sharp "Crack!" the multitude of green lightning bolts encircling her divided into hundreds. These slender streaks of electricity transformed midair into green-clad maidens—some cradling lutes, others dancing gracefully, whispering softly, or brandishing long swords.

Each of these hundreds of maidens was dressed in green, and upon closer inspection, they all bore the likeness of Su Yan. Yet, these numerous figures were merely a third of the size of the real Su Yan. From afar, the sight of hundreds of Su Yans converging on Yu Yuan from every direction was indeed bizarre.

Su Yan, who had enveloped Yu Yuan with her Celestial Clothing and its expansive wings, felt a blush creep onto her cheeks and muttered under her breath, "Shameless demon from beyond our realm!"

Zhan Tianxiang and Han Hui looked on in shock. Among the throng of diminutive Su Yans, more than a dozen were stark naked, their little forms glistening and bare, yet still unmistakably Su Yan. These few stood out, their alabaster skin more alluring amidst the crowd, drawing the eye and inviting onlookers to gaze longer.

It seemed as though the multitude of Su Yans only served to highlight these few, a dark ploy by the Moon Demon to ensnare the hearts of those who beheld them.

Zhan Tianxiang, initially taken aback, found himself stealing glances at the dozen or so miniature Su Yans. Even Su Yan herself and Han Hui couldn't help but give these few extra attention. The more they looked, the more they were tempted to look closer, sinking deeper into the trap.

At that moment, Fong Xin, whose body had been commandeered by the Moon Demon, vanished into thin air.

"Don't look!" Yu Yuan's voice suddenly boomed, resonant as a great bell, echoing through the minds of all present. His soul shuddered, resonating with the soulful energy of the sword light in his arm.

It pierced directly to the core of their hearts and souls.

Zhan Tianxiang, Su Yan, and Han Hui snapped awake, suddenly aware that they had fallen under the Moon Demon's spell without even realizing it.

In the heat of battle, their minds had wandered, their thoughts and focus scattered to the wind.

"Moon Demon!"

The only ones not ensnared by the enchantment, aside from Yu Yuan, were Zhao Yafu.

She watched a young Su Yan, lute in hand, playing fervently, her face subtly shifting into that of Feng Xin.

The vanished Feng Xin, or rather, the Moon Demon, seemed to manifest through the image of little Su Yan.

"Clang!"

The lute's music crescendoed, urgent and soaring, like an army of thousands charging, drowning out all other noise.

The very next moment.

A vision of an overwhelming force, a billion-strong army charging through a maelstrom of yellow sand, darkening skies, and the thunderous quaking of the earth, invaded the minds of all present.

The army's murderous aura, its unyielding determination and malice, swept over them like a torrent, assailing their very souls.

Han Hui clutched her head, letting out a terrified scream.

Her mental defenses crumbled instantly; she was utterly unable to protect her inner self.

A mysterious golden light emerged from Zhan Tianxiang's brow, and the totem of the Golden Elephant Ancient God flickered into existence, aiding him against the Moon Demon's soul onslaught.

Su Yan grunted softly, her wings snapping shut.

The wings enveloped her completely, cocooning her as if she were nestled within a massive egg adorned with white feathers.

Yu Yuan, facing a mortal threat, was naturally cast aside.

He stood just beyond the reach of the white feathers.

"Be careful."

With a warning to Zhao Yafu, Yu Yuan flashed a wry smile and extended his right hand toward Fong Xin, who was engrossed in her lute performance.

His arm blazed, bones glowing red-hot.

The sword light etched into his bones flared with the brilliance of a burning sun.

Onlookers could see Yu Yuan's raised arm, the bones aglow with points of light, each one shining as if a sun had been refined and shrunk a billion times, then sealed within the joints of his arm.

All the while, a sword intent, vast and ancient, suffused the air, as timeless as the cosmos itself.

This realm, this corner of the cosmos, seemed incapable of containing the overwhelming sword intent.

The once chaotic and disordered spiritual energy of heaven and earth surged a thousandfold in violence with the birth of the sword intent.

Many incarnations of Su Yan were shredded by the tempestuous spiritual energy, transforming into green flecks that sprayed in all directions, disintegrating into ash before they could even touch the ground.

Elsewhere, Lee Yu, Yan Lu, and other Empire trialists watched in stunned silence.

Yu Yuan remained unchanged—his appearance, stature, and status were the same.

Yet, in the instant he pointed at Feng Xin, it was as though everything had shifted.

To those present, Yu Yuan now stood as a Great Sword Immortal, a figure stepping forth from the depths of ancient times.

Wielding the Heaven-Splitting Sword Intent and a Sword Qi that scorned all life, he cleaved through heaven and earth, establishing the laws of the sword and imparting wisdom to humanity.

The Blue Profound Sword, now back in Lee Yu's grasp, hummed with life as its sword spirit vibrated within, murmuring to its elder in reverence.

Hundreds of Su Yan's forms were reduced to green glimmers, ripped asunder by the sword intent.

Only Feng Xin, clutching her lute, remained amidst a swirl of delicate green lightning that disintegrated first.

Then, her corporeal form was purged by the relentless spiritual energy.

"Puff, puff, puff!"

Bursts of detonation echoed from within Feng Xin's body.

A mist of green, mingled with droplets of blood, chunks of flesh, and bone fragments, dispersed into the air.

Feng Xin's hands reached out, futilely trying to grasp the dissipating green smoke and the moonlight above.

The moonlight, akin to liquid, slipped through her fingers, never to be concealed within her grasp.

The green haze, tainted with her blood and bone, drifted away from her body, vanishing into nothingness after traveling ten meters.

"Ah."

A sigh emanated from within Feng Xin's head.

"Crack!"

Her skull emitted a sharp snap before bursting open.

A green specter shot out, scattering into myriad points of light within a second.

"Moon Demon!"

"The Moon Demon has escaped!"

"The remnant soul of the Moon Demon!"

A chorus of shocked voices rang out, brimming with excitement, as everyone sensed that victory was within reach.

Those who had witnessed Yu Yuan's prowess were convinced that in the next instant, the myriad green lights would be snuffed out, and all the souls would be vanquished.

Yet Yu Yuan, upon whom they had pinned their greatest hopes, and who had brandished his sword with the might of an ancient Great Sword Immortal, suddenly crashed to the ground.

As Yu Yuan collapsed, it felt to the onlookers as if a towering mountain that had stood in their life's path had crumbled before their eyes.

"Our level of cultivation is too low to sustain that sword intent for an extended period," Lee Yu lamented.
