C981 Unknown Danger!

The Demon General, with four pairs of deep grey wings, possessed combat strength comparable to a cultivator at the Spirit Walk stage and had even refined his demonform. With the Nine-Headed Demon God Sidla's permission, he spread his wings wide, soaring like a colossal bird toward the deep pit below.

In the pit, the divine power of Jihui, the God-King, which had been suppressing the Domain Channel, suddenly awakened. The three ancient characters – Hui, Bi, and Shang – burst forth with a profound and mysterious glow, stirring up powerful time magic.

Boom!

The Sky Fiend, having attained the rank of Demon General, was reduced to a cloud of black and grey mist within the strange dimension.

Sidla, the nine-headed Demon God, watched coldly from above, his gaze fixed on Yu Yuan, who sat upon the dragon vein. The force that had obliterated his Demon General was not the chaotic energies of the Domain Channel, but the residual might of Jihui, the God-King – a force that was part of the Soulforge Matrix.

"What does this mean?"

Tian Zang had just condensed the Blood Altar into the Tears of the Azurefiend, tucking it into his brow for nurturing. He was taken aback to see a Demon General of the Sky Fiend Tribe burst into a mist of blood, his expression darkening.

Sidla, Mitts, and Adler, the three Demon Gods, commanded Demon Generals and Demon Kings who were integral to the Sky Fiend. The fallen Demon General had been charged with scouting ahead for all, yet it seemed he had been eradicated by the lingering power of the God-King from Boulderdawn before even entering the Domain Channel.

Within the forbidden area, only Yu Yuan could claim to represent Boulderdawn, wield control over the forbidden circle, and be recognized by the Soulforge Pool. If not Yu Yuan, then who else could Tian Zang turn to for answers?

"It wasn't me," Yu Yuan declared, rising to his feet with a furrowed brow, his gaze intent upon the benevolent statue.

Inside the Lunar Spirit, a faint light flickered and dissolved without a trace. A fresh memory message seamlessly integrated into the Lunar Spirit's eternal imprint.

"His forewarning suggests that whoever has traversed from the Hellmouth is an entity of extraordinary caliber."

Yu Yuan, while sorting through his thoughts, extended his remnant soul to probe the anomalies within the forbidden area.

As his remnant soul shifted with his will, he could discern many subtle details. He was able to uncover numerous evil spirits and consciousnesses that lurked in the shadows, reluctant to emerge. He could delve deep into the innermost recesses of a unique little world. Yet, he sensed nothing out of the ordinary.

It was the same statue that, through Liu Ying's Fallen Star Eyes, had shown her visions that prompted her to issue a warning. This statue possessed a wondrous power to perceive mysterious forces and entities that were invisible, unknowable, and inscrutable to the average person.

Now, an entity had disturbed it, altering its demeanor to one of kindness and friendliness, and forcibly brought the war to a halt. At this realization, Yu Yuan felt a sudden, sharp pain in his chest. A wave of fear and unease washed over him like a deluge.

Gasping for air, he instinctively pressed the Dragon Slaying Stage, which entombed the Chronowyrm, against the spot where the pain emanated and sat back down. Seated upon the distinct, gray Dragon Slaying Stage that interred the frost wyrm, he found solace.

With one Dragon Slaying Stage against his chest and another beneath him, he was finally at peace. Subsequently, the Soulforge Pool, the Crucible of Evil, and the compassionate statue of the God-King gathered around him like faithful sentinels. All the Banes, including the high-level ones like Chebus and Blood Moon, returned to their places.

Yu Yuan's demeanor and actions weighed heavily on the hearts of Tian Zang and the three Demon Gods, who watched him intently, awaiting his response. "But is a terrifying entity approaching?" Tian Zang's demeanor softened, his blue eyes reflecting a series of shadows.

Upon closer inspection, each shadow appeared to be a mysterious seal, representing a unique and magical realm. Yu Yiyi, recalling many past events, watched the shadows in Ghost King Tian Zang's eyes, her face betraying a hint of concern. These shadows represented the ancient forbidden areas within the Moonfall Sanctuary. The fact that they appeared in Tian Zang's eyes, a being ranked among the top ten of the forbidden area, suggested that Youqian, a Sky Fiend, had been detained there for many years, secretly unraveling the enigmas of those seals.

Moreover, he had left a very discreet soul mark in each restriction and little world.

Such a Tian Zang could partially harness the power of the forbidden area, effectively making him a quasi-master of the Moonfall Sanctuary!

It's no surprise then that he could move freely in and out of the forbidden area, ruling over the Land of Terror as the Ghost King, or vanish for centuries at a time, especially after a formidable overlord like Dhoreus made an appearance.

Yu Yiyi was profoundly shaken.

From the start, Tian Zang had never shown his true strength, never once going all out!

Wielding the Blood Altar, he was not only the most ancient Ghost King in the Land of Terror but also the semi-master of the Moonfall Sanctuary. He might just be the most fearsome adversary in this war, even more so than the Golden Elephant God, Zhongli Dapan, and Ann Wen.

"I can't even detect it!"

Tian Zang was equally shaken, his eyes, a mix of blue lights, instantly reverted to their original state.

He reiterated, "Yu Yuan, did it tell you that an exceptionally terrifying entity is approaching?"

Tian Zang gestured towards the compassionate-looking statue with an intensely grave expression, as if he was certain the statue's warnings were infallible. He also understood that the statue would not hesitate to show its kind aspect and halt the battle for no trivial reason.

Yu Yuan nodded and said in a concise manner, "That's what it said."

"Cao Jiazhe, King of Wraiths, Golden Elephant God, and Beru, all of you!"

Tian Zang ascended and positioned himself among the throng of Star-Spawned Terrors, instantly asserting himself as their true leader in front of Sidla, Adler, and Mitts.

As he began to speak, all the Sky Fiends within the demon cloud voluntarily descended slightly.

None dared to hover at his level.

"Seek out the uninvited guest!"

Tian Zang's gaze swept over the leaders of the Otherkin, Luo Yue, Xi Quan, and Zhou You, his expression grave. "Here, if neither I nor Yu Yuan can sense this Otherkin's presence, its nature is unknown."

"Then..."

Tian Zang paused briefly, "Use your imagination."

A dark yellow light burst forth from the direction of the Silvermoon Empire, bringing with it a swirling mass of countless stones.

A demonic light arrived at the entrance of the forbidden area in an instant, splitting into seven and transforming into towering totem poles of the evilkind. They pierced the earth, standing tall and imposing.

The seven dark yellow totem poles were adorned with various depictions of Direfang Tigers and dense tiger patterns.

Atop each totem pole crouched a massive yellow tiger, their demonic aura reaching for the heavens.

"The Soulforge Matrix has actually been breached," they declared in unison. Some spoke in the human tongue, others in the language of the evilkind, and a few merely growled, yet their message was one and the same.

The Golden Elephant God, having shifted back into human form, stood solemnly atop a golden peak. "There's something amiss," he stated gravely.

As the seven giant yellow tigers prepared to speak from their perches, they were interrupted by the sight of Seventh and Eighth Level warriors from the Otherkin suddenly resuming their assault on the human and evilkind champions after a brief pause.

All warriors of the Dawnbringers who had pledged loyalty to Canli found their secret spiritual connection to her abruptly severed.

Beru, Mia, Sansom, and other Ninth Level bloodline leaders, along with three Demon Gods, were shocked to discover that their followers had turned traitor!

All archdemons who had entered the forbidden area, with the exception of the Golden Elephant God and the Peacock Queen, had descended into madness!

The once serene statue, no matter how much power it radiated, could not prevent the outbreak of battle. Its peaceful visage began to blur, while its representation of brutality, madness, and malevolence grew increasingly distinct.

At the Dragon Slaying Stage, Xi Quan, who had been studying the Withered Sword, grasped the blade that shone with a bone-white light, refined with the essence of White Bone. The peculiar Spirit Sword, capable of withering flora and draining the life from all beings, vibrated with a low hum.

Xi Quan, bewildered by the unfolding chaos, watched as Shi Yuxuan, the current master of the Sacred Hands from the Serpent Spine Mountains, approached. This elder, whose powers were unremarkable within the ranks of the forbidden area, exuded a terrifying vitality that made the sword spirit of the Withered Sword, designed to suppress and quiet such overwhelming life force, cry out in anguish.

The blade of the Withered Sword appeared incapable of enduring the unimaginable surge of vitality coursing through it, as if it were on the verge of shattering.

Confronted with Xi Quan's astonished and bewildered stare, Shi Yuxuan maintained his composure, offering her a gentle, reassuring smile.

A shiver ran down Xi Quan's spine. Acting on instinct, she wielded the Withered Sword and vanished in the blink of an eye, utilizing Veilwalk to make her escape.
