C13 Huge Amount of Crystal Stones

"Thank you, Pavilion Master," Xiao Yu said with a chuckle. He was aware of Jiang Yuanhong's intentions, but he genuinely needed a substantial amount of crystals and didn't fuss over it.

Upon receiving Xiao Yu's response, Jiang Yuanhong personally set out to arrange the crystals. While he couldn't offer much from his own resources, with the backing of Tianming Pavilion, half a million crystals were a trivial matter for him.

"Young Brother Xiao, here are five hundred thousand crystals for you to inspect," Jiang Yuanhong said as he returned with a stone talisman and handed it to Xiao Yu.

His manner of addressing Xiao Yu had shifted, a clear sign of the esteem in which he held him.

Xiao Yu accepted the talisman. This particular stone talisman was a higher-grade Talisman known as a Space Talisman, containing its own space.

Activating the talisman, Xiao Yu saw a space ten feet in length and width within. The larger the space, the higher the grade, and this Space Talisman, with only ten feet of space, was of the lowest tier.

Despite being the most basic, a Space Talisman was no less than a second-grade item, likely only possessed by the leaders of Giant Stone City's major families.

Inside, the talisman held exactly five hundred thousand crystals. Coupled with the forty thousand he had previously acquired, Xiao Yu now possessed a grand total of five hundred and forty thousand crystals—a fortune by any measure. To put it in perspective, even Jiang Yuanhong, the Pavilion Master of Tianming Pavilion, could only muster four hundred thousand crystals without tapping into the Pavilion's reserves.

In Giant Stone City, thirty thousand crystals could secure a house. With half a million crystals, Xiao Yu's wealth surpassed that of any family head in the city.

"Pavilion Master, this Space Talisman?" Xiao Yu inquired, looking up at Jiang Yuanhong.

The half-million crystals were significant, but the Space Talisman itself was also quite valuable, not obtainable for less than a hundred thousand crystals. Xiao Yu wondered about Jiang Yuanhong's intentions in providing it.

"Having this conversation with you, Young Brother Xiao, has been incredibly enlightening," Jiang Yuanhong explained with a smile. "I inscribed this Space Talisman myself, and although it's a strenuous process that might not yield success for years, I do have a few. Consider it a welcome gift. Besides, it would be quite the burden for you to carry back such a large number of crystals without it, wouldn't it?"

It was clear that Jiang Yuanhong was making a friendly overture towards Xiao Yu. After some consideration, Xiao Yu accepted the gesture. His reasons were twofold: to put Jiang Yuanhong's mind at ease, and because the Space Talisman was a minor token in comparison to the future benefits he anticipated from Tianming Pavilion.

Having completed his business, Xiao Yu took his leave. Jiang Yuanhong tried to persuade him to stay longer, but Xiao Yu was eager to return and deal with the dark aura afflicting him.

Before departing, Xiao Yu purchased a thousand talisman embryos and ten bottles of Beast Blood, spending over 20,000 crystals. To him, however, this sum was inconsequential, like plucking a single hair—neither painful nor beneficial.

"Master, what kept you engaged in conversation for so long? You seem quite pleased," Qin Yuxuan inquired upon entering the courtyard. She had escorted Xiao Yu here earlier and had only just returned.

"Xuan Er, heed my words: no matter what happens, never cross Xiao Yu," Jiang Yuanhong advised her earnestly. Xiao Yu's prowess with talismans struck him as profoundly inscrutable.

He recognized that Xiao Yu was not someone to make an enemy of, especially since their current rapport with Tianming Pavilion was quite positive.

"Not offend Xiao Yu?" Qin Yuxuan, quick-witted and perceptive, mulled over his words, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Xuan Er, pass along my orders—I'm going into seclusion immediately. Unless it's an emergency, I should not be disturbed," Jiang Yuanhong instructed once more.

"Master, you're entering seclusion again?" Qin Yuxuan expressed her discontent. It had not been long since Jiang Yuanhong had emerged from his last retreat, and now he was withdrawing once again. When would he find the time to mentor her in the art of talismans?

"Xuan Er, this seclusion is significant. I may well achieve the rank of third-grade Talisman Master," Jiang Yuanhong declared, his face beaming with joy.

His conversation with Xiao Yu had been incredibly enlightening. He was confident that this time, he would finally break through the third-grade threshold that had plagued him for years.

After departing Tianming Pavilion, Xiao Yu made his way to another prestigious establishment in the city, the Medicine God Hall, which was on par with the Pavilion. The Hall was a powerhouse in the city, with a formidable reputation and a business focused on medicinal herbs.

Upon entering, Xiao Yu didn't hesitate to spend two hundred thousand crystals on a variety of precious herbs, a purchase so substantial that it caught the attention of the Hall's manager. Such a hefty transaction was a rare sight.

With his purchase complete, Xiao Yu headed back to the Lin Family.

"Kid, come with us. Our young master wants to see you!"

A short distance from the Lin Family's residence, several young men appeared, blocking Xiao Yu's way with clear hostility in their eyes. They looked vaguely familiar to him, and he soon realized they were the same servants who had been following Wang Fei. Clearly, Wang Fei hadn't gotten over his previous defeat and was seeking retribution.

"If your young master wants to see me, he can come find me himself. I don't have time for this!" Xiao Yu surmised that since Wang Fei hadn't yet married Lin Xuehan, he couldn't directly confront him at the Lin Family home, hence why he sent his lackeys to intercept him here.

"What a joke. Who do you think you are? Our young master coming to see you personally? Be smart and come with us, or you might regret it," sneered the three servants, their faces twisted in disdain.

"I've no desire to repeat myself. Get lost. I've got no time for you!" Xiao Yu had no patience for these servants. He didn't even give Wang Fei a second thought, so why would he be intimidated by his underlings?

"Look at you, all high and mighty. Forgot the lesson you got last time?" One of the servants stepped forward, a smirk on his face. Xiao Yu recognized him—it was the same man he had stepped on previously.

He had inadvertently stepped on this person's foot, and as a result, was coerced into cleaning the man's shoes. When he refused, a conflict with Wang Fei ensued, and he narrowly escaped a deadly beating from Lin Wentian!

"You might as well come with us. If it comes to blows, I fear you'll end up in a worse state than last time!" The servant said with a taunting look, clearly underestimating Xiao Yu.

"Heh, whether I'm miserable or not remains to be seen, but I assure you, you're the one who's going to suffer!" Xiao Yu retorted with a cold laugh. Without further ado, he launched the first strike, his figure darting forward in a blur.

Clearly, the situation had escalated beyond words, and with the very person responsible for his past injuries in sight, Xiao Yu wasn't about to let him off easily.

"A cripple dares to strut around? You're clueless!" The servants sneered, encircling Xiao Yu with contempt.

These servants were highly regarded by Wang Fei, each skilled in various Battle Spells, and they all radiated the power of two to three Spirit Rivers.

They attacked in unison, unleashing their diverse Battle Spells with palms and fists aimed at Xiao Yu.

Surrounded, Xiao Yu was the picture of composure. His gesture was deceptively simple—a single extended finger. Yet, the speed of his strike was astonishing. His glowing finger, golden and swift, left a shimmering trail of golden streaks in the air.

The speed was breathtaking!

"Puff!" "Puff!" "Puff!"

A series of soft sounds followed, and the attacking servants' faces transformed from smugness to unspeakable fear and shock, their brows quickly beading with sweat.

Xiao Yu moved with lightning speed, precisely targeting the joints of their arms with each tap of his finger.

In an instant, the arms of the three men were rendered useless, each joint having been effortlessly penetrated by Xiao Yu's decisive strike!
