C11 Unknown Letter.

I hastily took the white envelope which surprisingly felt heavy and bulky like something else was in it apart from just a letter.

I turned it around to find out who it was addressed to and found my name.

" To Dear Acapella" addressed on it.

I was amused for I had no friends who might want to write to me.

' Just haters' I thought and shivered as goosebumps covered my entire body.

" Could they perhaps be the one?" I muttered in fear as I turned the letter around again to find out whether the name of the addresser was on it.

' Could this probably be a letter of curse?' I wondered.

" Tch" My subconscious scoffed. " How can your haters address you as Dear Acapella?" She asked and I felt she was right.

' They could not be the one' I thought and started wondering who could have been the sender for it had no name of the person.

' Should I perhaps ask one of the nurses who might have delivered this?' I wondered.

" I doubt you should" My subconscious answered and I signed.

She was right. For it to have been hidden under my blanket and with no name of who the sender might have been meant he or she wanted to remain anonymous and the nurses on duty probably had no idea someone came in and tucked a letter under my pillow.

" Could it be Austin?" I wondered and felt rage embalm me at just the thought of he being the sender.

" I doubt he would have the guts to do" My subconscious whispered and I calmed myself down at her words.

' He better not be the sender' I thought.

" It could be your nice doctor" My subconscious suggested and I gasped. " Why don't you open it?" She nagged and I decided to follow her advice for it might be him truly.

I was about tearing the envelope into shreds to produce the letter when I hears a knock on my door. I froze and swiftly hid the envelope under my duvet.

" Come in" I said and was surprised to find my voice cracky.

The door flew open and I found Doctor Robert, the real Doctor Robert standing there. He walked in, his glasses now on his face.

" So what did you find?" I asked trying to make my expression as plain as possible so he would not figure out anything.

" Nothing much, we checked the surveillance cameras and found nothing" He replied.

" Nothing, How?* I asked confused.

" No sign of he coming to your room, everything has been cleared before hand" He explained and I felt fear building in me.

' Could the nice doctor probably be a criminal?' I wondered and shook my head inside of me.

' Nope, He could not be.' I thought. ' He looked nothing like it'.

" Does Criminals write on their foreheads that they are one?" My subconscious asked perhaps indirectly mocking me but I just ignored her.

" I guess whosoever attended to you pretending to be me must be a criminal or worse, a serial killer" He suggested and I found myself shaking my head sideways at his words signalling no.

" He cannot be" I answered, looking at Doctor Robert straight in the eyes.

" And why do you say so dear?" He asked with a straight expression. Not showing even a tiny bit of emotion.

" He did not hurt me" I said and Doctor Robert mouthed an " oh".

" He could have,he had the chance to." I added. " I was a patient with the report of a suicidal. He could have killed me when I was laying myself bare to him and made it look like I committed suicide again if really he was a serial killer" I explained and the Doctor gave an amused expression.

" But my dear" He began. " You might have not been the target, Some other patient might have been" He said.

" Who would have been a better target than a suicide victim?" I asked and he went silent .

" Besides" I began. " Is there any report of danger or of murder in the hospital or did any other patient report him to be their doctor while you were away?" I asked with a smirk and he nodded sideways meaning no.

" If he is not a criminal then, what could be his motive for stealing my coat and pretending to be me to just you when they are hundreds of patients here just like you said?" He asked and I gulped. There was silence for a minute or so till when I felt his eyes on me and I raised my head to meet his eyes .

" Are you asking me?" I asked in horror suddenly realizing what his gaze on me might have meant.

" You do not think I am his accomplish do you?" I asked and he did not reply but kept on looking at me with the straight face of his I have grown to despise so much for I could not tell what he was probably thinking.

" I do not even know the guy, this hospital is the first place I have ever seen him" I said.

" In this small town?" He asked and I frowned.

" Well, I am just seeing you for the first time in this small town and I am pretty sure you are also just seeing me for the first time in this small town" I reminded him just incase he had forgotten.

" That is different" He said.

" How?" I asked.

" Nevermind" he replied and I found the urge to roll my eyes at him.

" Did you find anything amiss about him when you guys were conversing?" He asked and I wondered how he knew we talked until I remembered I told him myself I confided in the nice doctor.

" Like something different about the way he walked, looked or talked" He added.

Now that he mentioned it, something was off about the way the nice doctor spoke. His accent was not like ours. Foreign, like an Italian accent.

" Did you?" He asked impatiently.

" No" I found myself saying and I wondered why.

Doctor Robert made a face which showed he did not believe me.

" I will like you to be honest with me, like I said this guy could be a criminal otherwise why was the surveillance cameras tampered with?" He asked.

" Since our conversation,I have all been honest with you" I said with a straight expression.

" Or perhaps I missed something since I was probably not in my right mind when I spoke to him" I added and he looked at me for a brief seconds before saying.

" Well then,I will leave you to rest. Goodnight" He said and left me alone in the room.

I do not know why but I felt this strong urge to just protect the nice doctor even when there was a high percentage he could be a criminal.

I slowly raised up my duvet and brought out the envelope to find out what was in it.
