C3 Excited Little Auntie!

"Give me one good reason."

"Is it wrong to take a moment to mourn a lost marriage?"

Zhao Qingyu couldn't help but snort at the absurdity of the excuse. She had no idea why Zhang Cheng was so adamant about getting a month, and frankly, she didn't care to find out.

Seeing his unyielding expression, Zhao Qingyu had no desire to argue any further.

"Fine."

With that, she went upstairs to rest.

Within a month, he was determined to uncover who had orchestrated his kidnapping.

"Stop sitting around," Zhao Qingya, her sister-in-law, nudged her with her foot. "Come on, help me move my stuff. I refuse to live downstairs with you!"

Zhang Cheng could only offer a wry smile in response: "I had no idea anyone was in the room. Besides, I didn't do anything wrong. I left the bed as soon as I realized you were there."

"Enough talk! Get moving!"

Zhao Qingya clearly wasn't interested in chatting with Zhang Cheng.

With a resigned nod, Zhang Cheng got to work.

Before long, they had moved all of Zhao Qingya's items upstairs to the room she had picked out.

Zhao Qingya, not one to exert herself often, sat exhausted in the living room, sipping water and catching her breath.

She felt a surge of unfairness watching Zhang Cheng, who seemed completely unfazed and not out of breath at all.

"Did you see the trash in my old room? Go take it out."

Zhang Cheng wasn't about to indulge his sister-in-law's demanding nature.

"Enough already, I'm still your brother-in-law!"

"In name only, and not for much longer!" Zhao Qingya shot him a contemptuous look. "Go! If you don't take out the trash today, you can forget about sleeping!"

Zhao Qingya huffed in frustration.

What did I do to deserve this?

"No sleep, then no sleep!"

"You! You just..."

Zhao Qingya was fuming, struggling to find the words to express her anger after repeating "you" twice.

Zhang Cheng paid her no mind, casually lighting another cigarette and blowing smoke rings.

Just then, someone knocked on the villa's door.

Both Zhang Cheng and Zhao Qingya looked at each other, puzzled. Who could it be at this hour?

"Bang, bang, bang."

The knock on the door sounded again.

Zhao Qingya casually picked up the remote from the table and pressed a button, and the door swung open.

A procession of security guards followed by four or five police officers filed into the room.

Leading the pack was the head of security for the Li Garden Park.

Zhang Cheng could only watch helplessly as they entered.

The Security Captain's face twisted into a scowl when he caught sight of Zhang Cheng, his teeth grinding audibly.

"Miss... Second Miss, this man broke in here tonight. We saw on the surveillance that he came to your room. He hasn't hurt you, has he?" he asked, his tone shifting as he struggled to find the appropriate title before settling on "Second Miss."

Zhang Cheng's heart sank. He had just angered his sister-in-law, and now the security chief had brought reinforcements, including the police.

If his sister-in-law said anything out of line, would he be taken away? He couldn't exactly take on the police in front of everyone, could he?

As expected, his sister-in-law's demeanor shifted to one of distress, her face the picture of innocence.

The security guards at Liwen Park were known for their keen observation skills, especially the captain.

He had sized up Zhang Cheng the moment he walked into the room: a tasteless shirt that looked like street vendor fare, pants that were clean but clearly worn for years, the fabric starting to bleach.

The security chief instantly pegged Zhang Cheng as a down-and-out loser.

Considering Zhang Cheng's late-night intrusion and the fact that the Second Miss hadn't called the nearby police or for help, the security chief concluded that she must have been coerced by Zhang Cheng, especially given her pitiful expression.

"Help... save me," she whimpered, her eyes brimming with tears.

Zhang Cheng's expression darkened. Where did she learn to act like this?

"Release the hostage! Let's talk this through!" one of the police officers exclaimed, panic in his voice. He was well aware of the beautiful girl's identity, and any harm to her could spell the end of his career.

The other officers were equally on edge, their faces etched with caution.

Zhang Cheng winced in annoyance. "Which one of your eyes saw me taking a hostage?"

As the thought crossed his mind, his sister-in-law let out a panicked cry and dashed toward the police at the entrance. Zhang Cheng froze for a moment.

Watching the Second Miss escape the clutches of the so-called Demon Claw, the policemen's expressions turned icy.

Even though Zhao Qingya's escape seemed a bit too effortless, the police assumed Zhang Cheng had been intimidated by their presence.

"Hands on your head!" commanded a policeman, baton in hand, as he inched closer to Zhang Cheng.

The sister-in-law, unnoticed, pulled a face at Zhang Cheng.

His face darkened. This sister-in-law was really trying to dig his grave.

"Do you know who I am?" Zhang Cheng challenged.

"Save it for the courtroom!" came the cool reply from the officer.

The head of security was a retired Special Forces soldier, which explained his position at the private Liwen Park estate. He knew he'd catch some heat for the oversight that allowed Zhang Cheng to slip in.

Now, he was determined to minimize his professional blunder and redeem himself through his actions. Unlike the cautious police, he didn't slowly advance.

With a burst of speed, he lunged forward, reaching Zhang Cheng in an instant and threw a punch with the ferocity of a storm. The punch sliced through the air, its speed and power demanding Zhang Cheng's full attention.

Since the mysterious legacy had surfaced in his mind, Zhang Cheng's physical prowess had surged, his body becoming more agile and responsive. But he had never actually sparred with anyone, only practicing back in his hometown.

All he could do now was sidestep.

The security captain hesitated, clearly not expecting Zhang Cheng to evade his punch.

Round after round, Zhang Cheng grew more accustomed to real combat, the images in his mind syncing with his movements in the flesh. A smile crept onto his lips.

At the entrance, onlookers gaped in disbelief at the unfolding scene. Who among them didn't know the security chief?

The security team's leader was none other than Liu Feng.

This individual was far from ordinary; he was a retired member of the Special Forces. Moreover, rumors swirled that he had undertaken covert operations overseas. To say he walked the razor's edge of death would be an apt description.

While the veracity of these rumors remained uncertain, what was known for sure was that Liu Feng had indeed left the Special Forces behind, and even clinched the citywide free combat championship the year before last.

And now, at this very moment, could this obscure upstart truly be holding his own against Liu Feng? It seemed inconceivable.

Spectators watched the unfolding scene with incredulous eyes.

Even the police officers halted in their tracks.

"Security Captain! What's the matter with you? Hit him! You're off target—left hook, that's it, just like that! My goodness, how could you let him dodge that?!"

Zhao Qingya, fresh from her return to the country, was clueless about the Security Captain. Her face had lit up with excitement when she initially witnessed the Security Captain charging forward to take on Zhang Cheng.
