C22 Yinggui

Young Master Yun flashed a triumphant smile. "You might be under suspicion of cheating, but let's face it, we're not your average gamblers. Let's all just take our money back and call this round void."

No one at the gambling table stirred. Since Niu Li was the winner, the money rightfully belonged to him. They weren't about to risk offending Miss Long over a few million.

The gamblers understood the unspoken rule and remained still. Young Master Yun's mood soured as he turned his gaze to the short-haired young man beside him.

The young man with the short hair gave a wry smile, equally hesitant to make a move.

"Fine, if you're all so reluctant to take the money, then I'll consider it my victory," Young Master Yun declared through clenched teeth, his voice laced with irritation.

"So this is the infamous Nighty Night, Old Master Tang's domain. You really are domineering," Miss Long seethed inwardly, her eyes turning icy as she glared at Young Master Yun. She didn't hold back in her sarcastic jab at the establishment's big boss.

At her words, the faces of everyone at the table turned ashen, a wave of unease washing over them. Clearly, they were itching to leave but lacked any plausible excuse.

"You disagree? I can explain. Come to my room tonight, and I'll show you the true meaning of 'overbearing,'" Young Master Yun boasted, his arrogance swelling.

"I'd like an explanation now," Miss Long retorted with a cold laugh, reaching for her phone. But before she could dial, the door to the eighth-floor gambling hall swung open, and a robust, confident laugh preceded the newcomers. "Folks, it doesn't look like you're enjoying yourselves."

The trio from the fifth-floor surveillance room stepped in. Leading them was a slender young man, flanked by a strikingly handsome companion. Trailing behind them was Nighty Night's reception manager, Manager Xu.

"Tang Qiu, you're the one who invited me here, and I must say, I'm not impressed," Miss Long said, her tone frostier than before as she recognized the arrivals.

Tang Qiu managed a strained smile. "You've already won hundreds of thousands from me. I was hoping to turn a profit on you."

"It's not about the money. What matters is that I'm not happy," Miss Long dismissed Tang Qiu's attempt at levity without a second thought.

Tang Qiu's expression soured as he glanced at the smug Young Master Yun, a tangle of conflict brewing within.

Truth be told, Tang Qiu really didn't want to cross Miss Long. However, Young Master Yun was a force to be reckoned with, his father wielding considerable influence. Offending him was also something Tang Qiu wanted to avoid.

Tang Qiu found himself in a bind.

"Young Master Tang can't handle it? I'll take care of it myself," Miss Long declared, not allowing Tang Qiu any room to interject, as she dialed a number on her phone.

"Loong Qi, I've been threatened," she stated succinctly before hanging up.

"Don't frighten me, beautiful," Young Master Yun said, unfazed by Miss Long. He appraised her stunning figure with a grin, his gaze laden with an intense longing to possess.

Moments later, the hall's door was flung open with force, and Miss Long's two muscular bodyguards entered, their expressions icy.

"Loong Qi, Loong Ba, I want his hand," Miss Long commanded, pointing directly at Young Master Yun.

The bodyguards remained silent, turning their steely gazes toward Young Master Yun.

Tang Qiu sensed trouble brewing. If anything happened to Young Master Yun here, it would be a difficult situation for him to smooth over.

"Miss Long, let's discuss this calmly," he suggested.

Miss Long glanced at Tang Qiu, her face etched with scorn. "Old Master Tang is the underground king of H City, and you, his only grandson, are a disappointment."

Tang Qiu seethed with anger, barely restraining himself from striking Miss Long.

He wasn't intimidated by Young Master Yun. Had it not been for his father's constant reminders to avoid base tactics, Young Master Yun would have been dealt with long ago.

As Tang Qiu's face twitched with irritation, Miss Long sneered and ordered Loong Qi and Loong Ba, "Proceed."

"Yinggui, make your move," Young Master Yun commanded, still composed, his eyes gleaming with thrill.

At his command, Loong Qi and Loong Ba halted, assuming defensive stances, their faces registering alarm.

"There's an outsider among us!"

The revelation sent a wave of astonishment through the hall. Only Niu Li remained smiling, his demeanor enigmatic.

"Who's the expert here?"

Everyone took Young Master Yun's words seriously. Aside from Loong Qi and Loong Ba, both Tang Qiu and the carefree young man adopted grave expressions, their eyes scanning the room with heightened alertness.

"Three years ago, I took out a member of the Loong family from Hong Kong."

At that moment, a voice as sinister as a vulture's echoed through the vast hall.

Upon hearing it, everyone in the room held their breath.

They could hear the voice but couldn't see its owner. Were they witnessing a ghost?

"I despise hypocritical women like you, but you do have good looks. Serve me well tonight, and I'll crown you as my queen," Young Master Yun said, eyeing Miss Long with contempt as he sneered maliciously.

"Just for that remark, your family has lost its right to exist in this world. Loong Qi, take him down," Miss Long commanded, her fury boiling over.

Loong Qi, ever vigilant, replied with a wry smile, "Madam, there's a master among us now. I fear we are no match for him."

"What?" Miss Long exclaimed, taken aback.

"Hahahaha, I told you, tonight you belong to me. Yinggui, strike!" Young Master Yun bellowed with a deranged laugh, oozing arrogance.

A whooshing sound filled the air as two red beams shot from the chandelier above, aiming for Loong Qi and Loong Ba.

Loong Qi and Loong Ba, battle-hardened warriors, instinctively reacted. In a flash, they split and evaded the red beams.

The beams struck the carpet, leaving behind two red iron spikes etched with faint ghostly symbols.

"You're Yinggui, ranked fifth on the Assassin Leaderboard!" The carefree young man beside Tang Qiu blurted out, his face turning pale with recognition.

"Kid, you're quite knowledgeable to recognize my ghost nails," the voice noted.

A white shadow flickered and descended, revealing a gaunt middle-aged man with a sinister countenance.

"Yinggui, weren't you killed by the Northeast Arrow Demon a year ago? How are you still alive?" the young man asked, bewildered.

Yinggui sized up the young man with a cold, mocking smile. "You're quite informed. I see traces of Inner Qi spilling from you, indicating your martial arts have reached the Mid Acquired stage. Impressive for your age."

"Senior, you honor me with your words. But tonight's conflict is among the younger generation. Could you please refrain from getting involved?" the young man requested earnestly.

"Hmph, are you trying to tell me how to handle my business?" Yinggui's expression turned even icier.

"I wouldn't dare," the young man replied, his tone respectful yet vigilant. Yinggui was nothing short of a ruthless criminal.
