C15 Nineheaded Skywolf

"Child?" Ye Fann turned to Wang Ying with a skeptical look. "You really think he's still just a child?"

"He... He will always be a child in his parents' eyes, won't he? What's with the defiance? Why are you acting so bullheaded?"

Ye Fann gave a nod, released his grip on the knife, and casually placed it on the coffee table. "Fine, you deal with your child's mess. I'm washing my hands of it today."

"Ye Fann, you..." Wang Ying clenched her teeth, her face turning a shade of furious green.

The bald man slammed his hand on the coffee table twice. "Enough with the noise! I'm a busy man. Are you going to pay up or sell the house? Make it quick!"

As he finished, his henchmen closed in.

Wang Ying, in a panic, pulled Huang Yong back to the doorway, yelling at Ye Fann, "You have to sort this out today, Ye Fann. It's a must!"

The moment her words fell, Wang Ying and Huang Yong retreated into the room and slammed the door shut.

The bald man was taken aback for a brief moment before turning to Ye Fann. "So, you're the son-in-law here?"

Ye Fann managed a wry smile. Son-in-law? The word dripped with irony.

"Look, just give me a few days. I'll figure something out..."

"I've already given that brat Huang Yong a whole month," the bald man cut in sharply, his intent crystal clear.

The money had to appear today.

Ye Fann pondered for a moment, offered a cigarette, and lit one for himself. Inhaling deeply, he exhaled a ring of smoke. "You've waited a month already. What's a few more days?"

The bald man squinted at Ye Fann, his gaze lingering for several seconds, then he grabbed the property deed and contract from the coffee table. "Alright, three days. That's all you get. If I don't see the money in three days, I'm coming back with the court officials. And if you end up on the streets, don't say I didn't warn you."

"Let's go!"

With that, the bald man and his crew departed. Ye Fann knocked on the room door and called Huang Yong out. "Take me to that woman, now. Immediately."

"What are you searching for? I've told you, she's broke..."

"What the hell does her not having money have to do with you?" Ye Fann erupted, "Are you going to fork over the cash for her? Three hundred thousand, do you have that?"

"Can't we have a civil conversation? What's with all the yelling? Do you think you own this place?" Wang Ying emerged, scolding sharply.

Ye Fann was left without a word, the silence hanging heavy in the air.

Abruptly, Ye Fann grabbed Huang Yong and headed for the door. Cutting off Wang Ying before she could speak, he asserted, "Mom, just leave it to me if you want to save the house. I know what I'm doing and I won't let your child get hurt."

The word 'child' struck a nerve, clearly a deliberate jab from Ye Fann.

The moment the door slammed shut, Wang Ying, livid, seized an ashtray and hurled it to the ground, shattering it. She bellowed at the room, "Huang Shihao, what are you cowering inside for like a damn turtle? Get out here and clean up this mess!"

...

At the café, the attractive owner was bustling about with a lively energy.

Nearby, a boy in his early teens couldn't take his eyes off her legs beneath the skirt, his gaze hot with longing.

As the owner approached, the boy made his move, darting forward to flip up her skirt.

A gasp rippled through the onlookers.

The boy burst into raucous laughter, smugness written all over his face.

The owner, flushed with humiliation and anger, reflexively slapped the boy across the face.

The boy, taken aback, was left reeling from the impact.

His father, a middle-aged man in a crisply tailored suit, sprang into action, delivering a kick that sent the owner sprawling to the floor.

"You dare hit me?" the boy snarled, regaining his composure. He lunged at the owner, raining down a flurry of slaps before starting to tear at her clothes.

The owner's screams pierced the air as she fought back desperately, but the boy's father was already pinning her down.

Outside, Ye Fann and Huang Yong pushed through the door just in time to see the boy yanking off the owner's lingerie.

In a heartbeat, Huang Yong, fueled by rage, charged forward, seizing a chair and smashing it over the boy's head.

The boy let out a scream, his head bleeding profusely as he collapsed to the ground, unconscious and motionless.

Huang Yong stripped off his clothes and draped them over the beautiful boss, while the boy's father, consumed by rage, swung his fist at him. The punch was aimed directly at the temple.

Ye Fann arrived just in time, seizing the man's fist and demanding in a stern voice, "Why aren't you taking him to the hospital instead of going mad here?"

Snapped out of his frenzy, the boy's father quickly scooped up his son and bolted from the coffee shop, heading for the hospital.

Later, in the coffee shop's staff lounge, Ye Jing, the boss, began to regain her composure thanks to Huang Yong's reassurances. With tears in her eyes, she recounted the events.

"That damned bastard is asking for it. I'm going to chop up that pair of mongrels right now!" Huang Yong seethed, rising to his feet, ready to storm out.

Ye Fann blocked his path, prompting an enraged Huang Yong to bellow, "Mind your own damn business! Who do you think you are?"

"Do you even know which hospital they went to?" Ye Fann retorted, unflustered.

Huang Yong paused, his anger giving way to frustration as he clenched his fists tightly.

Ye Jing watched Ye Fann with a curious intensity before asking, "Brother Yong, who is this?"

"I'm here to collect a debt," Ye Fann stated bluntly. "The creditor for the three hundred thousand loan you took out with Huang Yong's help has come knocking. You have three days to repay it, or the Huang family's house gets sold, leaving Huang Yong and his family homeless."

"Shut your mouth! I can speak for myself," Huang Yong snapped back, his voice laced with irritation.

Ye Jing's brow furrowed deeply as she averted her gaze from Ye Fann, her lips quivering before she finally managed to speak. "The truth is, I've been swindled too."

As it turned out, the coffee shop wasn't hers at all; it belonged to another man. He had convinced her to secure a loan through Huang Yong to start the business. But after a few months of dismal sales, the money ran out, and the man disappeared without a trace.

Ye Jing was at her wit's end, her only option to desperately keep her shop afloat.

"But it looks like your shop is doing pretty well," Ye Fann immediately countered with skepticism.

"That's only because someone reserved the entire place for today, apparently to meet with some clients."

No sooner had Ye Jing's words faded than a loud voice from outside called, "Where's the boss? Get out here!"

The voice struck a chord of familiarity with Ye Fann.

Stepping outside, he was taken aback to see Yang Min.

Yang Min paused, equally surprised. "Ye Fann? What brings you here?"

"So you're the one who booked the place today?" Ye Fann asked, his brow furrowed.

Behind Yang Min, an imposing man stepped forward, his presence commanding.

In an instant, they were hit with an aura of fierceness and sharpness, the likes of which were seldom seen.

Even Ye Fann felt a jolt in his heart, his senses sharpening as he braced for what might come next.

The air grew tense as Ye Fann locked eyes with the man, the atmosphere heavy with anticipation.

Standing to the side, Yang Min felt an overwhelming sense of constriction.

The air was thick with the scent of gunpowder, a raging, invisible blaze igniting around them.

Without warning, the man leapt forward, aiming a punch at Ye Fann's forehead.

Yang Min stood petrified, the sound of the air splitting echoing in her ears.

With swift agility, Ye Fann sidestepped and countered with a Throat Lock, pushing the man back. He followed up with a powerful flying kick, sweeping through the man's vital points like a dragon ascending the heavens.
