C20 Not the Old Me

"You don't have to thank me. It was your choice, and I didn't do anything."

His eyes were still looking at the stadium. After that, he raised his head and took a sip of coffee.

No matter how he denied the credit, Su Qian-Shan was grateful for everything he had done for her. She thought for a while and then suggested to him, "How about I treat you to a meal in your way?"

He finally raised his thin eyes and looked at Su Qian casually. He teased, "Why are you in such a hurry to return it?"

Su Qian smiled and didn't say anything.

He said, "Let's save it for next time. I want you to remember it. Otherwise, you will be so angry that you won't even be able to see her next time."

Su Qian-Shan knew that he was blaming her for not wanting to see him that day. Since he had said so, she might as well save it for the next time they met Li Ze-Zhe.

"Let's go. It's boring to watch a group of amateurs play." He suddenly left a greeting and turned around to leave the tea room.

Su Yan smiled slightly. He had a cold exterior but a warm heart. He took a sip of the coffee in his hand, which was fragrant and delicious.

Since that day, most of her classmates had greeted her politely, and though she still received a few spiteful notes from time to time, or some cheap prank like a holiday spider in her stationery box or chewing gum on her chair, she no longer cared. She threw the notes into the trash without even looking at them.

Lately, she had noticed that Gao Ming and Anvil had been spending less time together, and occasionally they would run into each other on campus. Gao Ming's face was impassive, and he ignored Anvil, who was stamping her feet angrily behind him.

However, she didn't know if it was because of this, but every time An Wei'er looked at Su Qian, the hatred in her eyes became even deeper.

On Thursday afternoon at the Interest Society, Su Qian looked at the progress she had made in months. For the first time, she completed a painting on her own. She was just about to ask Lin Lin for help when a figure suddenly bumped into her. The paint tray in her hand accurately splashed on her newly completed painting and accidentally splashed some paint on her clothes!

She scrambled out of her seat as Lin Lin handed her a tissue to wipe.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I accidentally sprained my ankle and bumped into your drawing board."

This fake and uncomfortable voice made Su Qian look up and saw An Wei'er who had no signs of regret on her face.

Lin Lin stood up for her. "You did it on purpose. Do you know how many nights Xiao Qian worked on this painting? Why don't you know how to appreciate the work of others?"

"That's enough, Lin Lin." Su Qian quickly stopped her friend's accusation. She knew what kind of person Anvil was. She didn't want Lin Lin to offend someone like that for her sake.

"What do you mean by that? You're just like a country bumpkin. It's just a lousy painting. Even a three-year-old can draw better than you, what's there to show off!" After An Wei Er made some sarcastic remarks, she glared at Su Qian and returned to her seat.

Su Qian didn't bother with her. She just looked at the ruined work and threw it into the trash can.

She thought the matter was over.

But one afternoon during self-study class, just as she was about to leave the library and return to class, a girl from her class rushed up to her and panted, "Su, Su, you'd better go to the boxing club and find Lin Lin!"

Su Qian looked at her uneasily, "What's wrong?"

After resting for a while, she said, "I don't know the specific reason. Manwen said that she insulted Anvil and wanted to teach her a lesson. He said that you should... Hey!"

Before she finished her words, Su Qian had already sped up and ran towards the boxing club.

Zhang Manwen must have been referring to what happened at the art club that day. All the students present knew that it was Anvil who was deliberately picking a fight, but when she reached her friend Zhang Manwen's ears, it became Lin Lin's humiliation and abuse of her!

Su Qian quickly arrived at the boxing club. It was a polymerized training camp, spacious and fully equipped. As soon as she entered the door, she could feel the awe of the cool posters. All of them were post-modern gray-black decorations, and there was a large window through the iron fence that emitted a strong and blurry white light. The students who were training separately around her could hear the continuous sound of punching bags. She looked past the tough and luxurious equipment and saw Zhang Manwen jumping on the innermost octagonal platform, as well as Lin Lin, who was holding the edge of the fence and throwing up!

"Stop!"

She immediately shouted and ran forward. With a flip, she jumped into the octagonal platform and checked on the bruised Lin Lin.

"Xiao, Xiao Qian..." Lin Lin called out in an inarticulate voice and fell into her arms.

Su Qian carefully examined her injuries. There were many bruises on the corner of her mouth and the corner of her eye. The right side of her face was swollen, making her heart ache.

"Su, you finally came. This sparring partner is too weak. I fell down before I even warmed up. Aren't you good friends with this b * tch? Why don't you take her place?" On the other side, Zhang Manwen, who was still in good condition, was leisurely changing into boxing gloves. He glanced at Su Qian with a contemptuous smile, which was full of provocation and pride.

There were also a few unfamiliar men and women below the stage, including Fu Ya. They were sitting on the judges' seats with their legs crossed and watching coldly.

Su Qian was furious. These people were clearly targeting her, but they were so cruel to Lin Lin. She also felt guilty and believed that if Lin Lin hadn't said those words for her that day, she wouldn't have suffered their brutal revenge!

She clenched her fists. She knew she had to fight.

She helped Lin Lin to rest in the corner. She slowly got up, and her cold eyes were like a sharp arrow piercing through the cold air, making Zhang Manwen shiver!

"What are you staring at!" Zhang Manwen, who quickly recovered, yelled at her unhappily, "Do you really think you've become a swan after changing into human skin?!"

After she finished speaking, she threw a punch at Su Qian, but Su Qian easily dodged it!

She put her hands in front of her head and walked around Su Qian with light steps. Her eyes were as fierce as a beast's. She was ready to attack when her prey was not paying attention!

Then he knocked his head against her chin, and before she could react to the sudden pain, he bent down again, kicked her in the back with his left leg at a hundred and eighty degrees, and kicked her in the head.

Zhang Manwen, who was hit by the inertia, took a few steps back.

The spectators were all shocked and started to watch the match.

After a while, Zhang Manwen put down his hand that was covering his forehead. There was a hint of playfulness in his cold eyes. He then adjusted his posture and threw another punch at Su Qian!

Her movements were quick and her strength was great. The wind from her fist carried a slight chill as it brushed past Su Qian's black hair. In the beginning, Su Qian tried her best to retreat in order to defend herself. She tried to figure out her opponent's strength and moves.

"Ugh!" Zhang Manwen bent over, clutching his aching stomach.

Then, following the direction in which she had turned, Su Chang-Hao jumped from her back to the other side, kicked her in the chest again, and sent her flying into the corner of the railing before bouncing back to the ground.

With a muffled bang, she struggled to raise her fist from the ground. Her limbs were visibly trembling.

Slow, too slow!

Although Zhang Manwen's boxing skills were better than those of his peers, for someone like Su Qian, who had been trained in all kinds of martial arts since she was a child, even without spiritual energy, she was slower than a beat or two.

"Manwen, you can do it!"

Below the stage, Fu Ya was cheering for her before she left in a hurry. There was even a boy who wiped her face with an ice cube towel in the form of a break.

Zhang Manwen was such a strong-willed person. How could he bear to lose face in front of everyone, in front of the weak and incompetent country girl?

She didn't want to stand up. She was so angry that the acid from her mouth was gone. With a roar, she rushed towards Su Qian!

Su Qian even predicted the direction of Zhang Manwen's running, so she made up her mind and quickly ran two steps towards the pillar next to her. Then, she stepped on the pillar and used it as a leverage to somersault in the air, and from top to bottom, she landed a heavy kick on Zhang Manwen's shoulder.

"Ugh!"

Zhang Manwen's strong body was obviously shaken. His knees went soft and he fell to the ground!

"Manwen!"

The audience exclaimed. They were about to jump onto the stage, but they were stopped by Su Qian.

"Don't come over!" Su Qian ordered and her cold eyes made them retreat.

They were stunned and looked at Su Qian with wary eyes.

On the ground was Zhang Manwen, who was still writhing in pain. Su Qianqian squatted down next to her, her face expressionless."

Then, she got up and carried the sleepy Lin Lin out of the octagonal arena.

"Manwen, how are you?"

"Manwen, are you okay?"

Behind them were the comforting voices of the crowd. Su Qian didn't even turn his head as he took Lin Lin out of the boxing club and headed straight to the school infirmary.

Her mother had told her since she was young not to bully the weak and take a step back, so she was used to being submissive to evil forces and didn't know how to resist.

It was only today, as she watched her friend suffer, that she understood that some people had vicious hearts, and if they only tolerated, they would hurt not only themselves, but their friends as well. She had to be strong, she had to fight, she had to stand up and protect herself, she had to protect the people around her.
