C21 From Beginning to End the Story of the Demon Cat Incident Began

In rainy weather, the dark night seemed to paint the sky, and the deserted streets were silent except for the light breeze.

"Are you sure you saw him?"

Behind the abandoned drainpipe, Su Qian whispered to Gao Ming, who was also hiding against the wall.

"Of course, I've been tracking him for more than a week, and he passes by this street every day," Gao Ming answered without hesitation.

Just this afternoon, he claimed to have tracked down the boy who had been talking to Anvil, and he had been waiting for nearly two hours with Su Qianyun. The moon was just past three in the morning.

In the lonely night, the sound of a few dogs barking could be heard. It was especially clear and bright.

"They're here!" Gao Ming said in a low tone and the two immediately looked at the street in front of them.

In the dim light of the streetlamp, which elongated a dark figure coming around the corner, she did see a boy in a black coat and hat, his hands in his pockets, walking toward them with his head down.

It was that boy!

Su Qianran immediately recognized his coat. It was the Half-Demon who had fought with her in Rainy Alley!

"Hey!"

Right at this moment, Gao Ming suddenly walked out with the Scarlet Dark Sword in his hand.

The male student's feet paused, and he raised his pair of green glowing eyes. He only gave Gao Ming a glance before turning around and running!

"Stop!" Gao Ming chased after him.

Su Qian also jumped out of her hiding place at this time. She wanted to chase after him, but after observing the surrounding terrain, she decisively chose to intercept him from another direction!

On a rainy night, the soles of her shoes pattered on the puddles of water. Su Qian had been following the route that Gao Ming had taken, but when she ran out of the alley and ran into him on the other side, he was gone!

"Where is he?" Gao Ming was also puzzled. He quickly looked around.

Su Qian felt that everything was so weird. How could the boy who had been chasing them disappear the moment he turned the corner?

The Demon Hunting Bell on his wrist was still shaking.

"He must still be around," Su Qianqian said firmly.

The two of them locked their gazes onto the windows on the upper floor of the seven-story building. Only the windows on the sixth floor were open, and they were still swaying slightly in the wind.

It was an old building, and the buildings around it were old. It was next door to the old residential area where Su Qian lived.

They looked at each other and nodded at the same time. Su Qian went to the back alley and found the entrance to the stairs. She then ran to the sixth floor.

There were only two houses on the sixth floor. Su Qian was breathing heavily as she tried to remember the direction and finally knocked on the door on the left.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

There was another fire window at the head of the stairs. She stuck her head out to check, hoping to find something. However, there was nothing, and she couldn't break in.

Crack!

The sound of something breaking came from inside. Su Qian's heart tightened. She was worried that something would happen, so she used her body to smash the door!

The lock twisted and the door opened. It was Gao Ming.

Obviously, he was much faster than her.

"How is it?"

"Come in and take a look yourself," Gao Ming said.

The light in the living room must have been turned on by Gao Ming later. The house was a mess.

Su Qianqian quickly ran forward and carefully squatted down to check.

"He's not dead. I fainted as soon as I came in, but with his current condition, he probably won't live for long," Gao Ming said.

The male's face was pale white, and his lips were purple. Green veins could be seen on his face and hands, making him look like a mutated corpse.

Su Qian suddenly remembered what her mother said. She took out a small metal box from her pocket, took out one of the Hundred Transference Pills and put it into his mouth.

This was the antidote to the demonic aura that her mother had prescribed. Su Qian had prepared it a few weeks ago, and it was only today that Gao Ming had found out the boy's address that she had the chance to try and save his life.

The room was filled with a sour smell. Su Qian got up slowly and looked around. A few bowls of instant noodles had been piled up on the table, attracting flies and mosquitoes. The boy looked like he lived alone. There were a few easels in the middle of the room, each with a few paintings of varying degrees of completion. Su Qian was familiar with the art of painting.

Isn't this the work of Anvil, who won the prize?

Gao Ming, who had come up to peer at the painting as well, had an unreadable expression on his impassive face, but he had obviously recognized the painting, which had been famous on campus for a while.

Or could it be that there was some secret that outsiders did not know about?

"Ahem..." At this moment, the boy lying on the ground started to react.

Su Qian immediately retracted her gaze from the painting, turned around, and squatted down to check, "How are you?"

The boy struggled to sit up from the ground. His original green eyes had turned back into black eyes, but his face was still pale.

"Who, who are you?" he asked weakly.

Su Qian was about to reply, but was interrupted by Gao Ming, "I should be the one asking you this!"

The boy breathed slightly, not daring to meet Gao Ming's sharp eyes.

"Do you remember what you did?" Su Qian pressed.

"I just want what I deserve, what I deserve..."

Su Qian frowned as she didn't understand what he meant.

"Xiao Wei lied to me. She said that she would return my reputation but she didn't do that..." The male said soullessly.

Hearing An Wei'er, Su Qian couldn't help but look towards Gao Ming.

However, his expression was calm and his tone was cold, "What does this have to do with An Wei'er?"

"She and I used to go to high school together, and I've had a crush on her since Grade One. She said she was going to the Venus Festival, and I painted for her, and she said she was going to be with me after graduation." The boy's face was full of disappointment as he spoke tirelessly.

Su Qian pointed at the painting on the wall and asked in surprise, "Are you saying that the painting that won the second prize in the Golden Star Contest was drawn by you?"

"I lost her, and to the others I was just a nobody. I just wanted what I deserved, so I went to see Sister May..."

"Sister Mei?" Su Qian was slightly surprised.

"Yes, they all call her Sister Mei. She lives in the staff dormitory at Beichen University. She said that she can fulfill my wish, but she must give me something in exchange for it." The boy continued.

Su Qian asked with a serious expression, "What is it?"

He slowly rolled up his sleeves, revealing the same scratch mark." Ten years. She put a leech on my wound and sucked my blood, and then she said some very strange spells, and ever since then my mind has been wandering, and I always wake up in all sorts of places."

Su Qian was shocked. There was actually someone who was willing to use her lifespan to make a deal!

"It's the Black Gu Technique." Gao Ming, who had been quietly listening, suddenly spoke.

Su Qian looked at him in confusion, "Black Gu Technique?"

"This is an extremely vicious technique. It absorbs the lifespan of others in exchange for one's own immortality," Gao Ming explained with a deep look in his eyes.

From the literal meaning, this was definitely not a light spell. Su Qian was almost sure that this so-called Sister Mei should be the culprit they were looking for.

"It's all my fault. One of my classmates on the way told me about it, and I believed him. I almost lost my life."

Su Qian didn't know how to comfort him, so she just sighed and took two more pills out of the box and gave them to him. "For three days, one pill a day, your demonic energy will fade."

Then, Su Qian stood up and looked at Gao Ming before walking out of the boy's house.

The rooster crowed at dawn, and the sky was filled with the light blue light of the fish belly. Su Qian turned to Gao Ming beside her and asked, "What should we do next?"

Gao Ming stood by the window and stared into the distance for a long time. Then he turned around and went downstairs, "Go home and sleep."

"Aren't we going to catch monsters?" Su Qian quickly caught up with him and asked.

However, he seemed to be careless as he walked forward slowly by himself, "What are you in a hurry for? Are you afraid that the cat will run away?"

Although Su Qian was in a hurry, she couldn't say anything more. She could only follow him to the intersection of the street and go home separately.

The next morning, Su Qian dragged her tired body into the classroom and heard her phone ring. She opened it and saw that it was from An Wei Er.

- See you on the roof.

These simple words made Su Qian feel puzzled. What was this An Wei'er trying to do?

She didn't want to attend the meeting, but the other party seemed to know that she would think that way. Then, the second message jumped over. It was the same three simple words.

- You must come.

So, for some reason, she climbed up five flights of stairs to the roof.

Anvil was standing inside the low brick wall, her face turned outward. She was still dressed in a red dress.
