C4 Uncle Su Yan

The bells of the soul rang in the middle of the night, easily waking Su Qian from her sleep.

The night was quiet and the moonlight was gentle. There was no sound from her mother's room.

She poured a cup of water and prepared to drink it before going back to rest. However, the black shadow that flashed past the window did not escape her sharp eyes, and it instantly tensed her clear mind.

Could it be that the group of Demonic Spirit Beasts is here again!?

She looked around alertly, then crept to the wall on her bare feet. The scent of the demon came to her nostrils, and the tadpoles that had been groping in the dark followed her into the room. She slowly gathered a ball of purple flame in her hand, and when the black creatures were about to touch her, she threw it out, and in an instant the room was ablaze with a purple flame.

The flames could not burn anything in the mortal world, but they could burn the hell visitors to a crisp.

"There is no door in the void, come back quickly, come back quickly!"

Suddenly there was a deep, familiar voice at the window, and then a round figure came in through the window, and with a surge of red light in his hand he put the black tadpoles, which had not yet burned out, back into the jar.

Su Qian immediately turned on the light. When she saw who it was, she didn't have the time to be happy when she was scolded.

"Stinky girl, you keep releasing the Dark Fire and almost burned my little babies to death." His eyes were full of pain as he gently stroked the can. He wore a tight white shirt and a pair of black and white striped suspenders, and though the years had added to his face, they could not conceal the elegance of his youth and his perpetual humor.

"Uncle Su Yan!" Su Qian was so happy that she threw herself into his arms. After a while, she did not forget to shout, "Mom, Mom, Uncle Su Yan is here!"

It had been three years since she had last seen her uncle Su Yan, and she still remembered vividly how he had taken her up the mountain when she was a child to dig out a bird's nest, poke a beehive, and then come home with a head full of stings. It was only when her mother was infected by the demon in her heart that her uncle Su Yan left her and her mother for three whole years in order to find a way to cure it...

"It's been a few years since we last saw each other. Xiao Qian's cultivation has improved and she's more cautious. Not bad, not bad." Uncle Su Yan patted Su Qian's head and praised her.

"It's been a few years since we last saw each other, but uncle is still as weird as before. You don't walk through the front door or the windows. Instead, you purposely let out the coal monsters to be mysterious." Su Qian raised her eyebrows. This kind of trick couldn't be used in front of her anymore.

However, this kind of appearance was in line with her Uncle Su Yan's personality.

"Haha, clever girl. I just want to test whether you have improved or not. Where's your mother?" He asked and looked around the room. His eyes were filled with tears.

"He's in the back room." Su Qian was so happy that she didn't notice Su Yan's expression. She directly pulled him into her mother's bedroom.

Her mother had already woken up and was about to get off the bed, but Uncle Su Yan stopped her.

"Just lie down, sister-in-law."

Su Qian immediately put a pillow on his mother's back and moved a chair in front of the bed for Uncle Su Yan.

"How have you been feeling recently? I thought you guys were still living in Huai City, so I searched for a long time before I found this place," Uncle Su Yan asked.

His mother's smile was as calm as usual, and she replied in a soft voice, "We moved. The Demonic Spirit Beasts chased us too closely, and I dragged her into transferring schools with me."

When Uncle Su Yan heard this, a trace of guilt flashed across his eyes. His face, which had always been full of smiles and optimism, now sank to the ground, "I promised A-Ze that I would take good care of you and your daughter, but you have been tortured by a demonic curse, and Xiao Qian is living in such an environment. How can I face A-Ze, who is in the netherworld?"

"Don't say that, Big Brother. You've done enough for me and Shallow." His mother tried to comfort him.

Su Qian also added, "That's right, Uncle Su Yan, it's all thanks to you taking me into the sect that my spiritual energy can grow so quickly and protect my mother. Please don't say anything like 'I'm sorry'."

Su Yan helplessly shook his head, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. It was as if he had already guessed that the mother and daughter would say this, so he simply stopped arguing."

"What is it?" Su Qian's eyes lit up as she asked.

Su Yan took off the canvas bag on his back and rummaged through it. In the end, he took out an emerald green kidney bean!

This kidney bean was crystal clear, and within it, there was a flowing light. This was the first time Su Qian had seen such a special product.

"What is this?" she asked as she took the kidney bean from Su Yan's hand. When she looked at it carefully, it seemed to be a bit bigger than a normal kidney bean.

"The seed of the Five Poison Flower," Su Yan replied.

Su Qian looked up in surprise, "Five Poison Flower?"

Su Yan nodded with a serious expression, then took out a small porcelain bottle and handed it over to Su Qian. "And this, Xiao Qian, find a pot and plant the seeds, and then pour this bottle of the Tears of the Dead into the soil. You are a water element spiritualist, so the five elements coincide with each other. As long as you take good care of it, it won't be long before the world's most poisonous flowers bloom. When the flower blooms, the withered bud will transform into a Five Poison Beast."

Uncle Su Yan looked worriedly at his mother, who was lying on the bed. He had been out and about for his mother's illness.

"But how long will it take for it to mature?" Su Qian asked.

"The Five Poison Beast needs to feed on human blood to mature. It takes twenty-one days to form a flower bud, and forty-nine days for a poisonous beast to mature. Little Qian, your blood is special, and it's a good catalyst for feeding the Five Poison Beast." Su Yan said solemnly.

Su Qian looked at the old and new wounds on her arm and fell into deep thought.

"Will... will this work?" Her mother's eyebrows furrowed and her eyes were full of worry when they landed on Su Qian.

"No matter what, I have to try." Su Yan replied firmly.

"But I'm worried about Qian..."

"Mom, I'm fine. Uncle Su Yan, I promise you that I'll raise the Five Poison Beast and cure mother's heart demon."

Su Qian knew what her mother was worried about, but compared to her mother's life, she understood that sacrifices were necessary.

Su Yan's dark eyes sparkled under the light, but he didn't say anything. He just lovingly patted Su Qian's head once again before standing up.

"I came here tonight mainly to give you these things. I still have some things to do in Luo City, so I have to go. This..." As he spoke, he took out a thick envelope from the inside of the bag and handed it to Su Qian. "You guys can use it first. I will send you some living expenses later."

"No need, Su Yanbo..."

"Take it."

Su Yan refused the hand Su Qian pushed back. After he finished speaking, he signaled to Ye Chun and Yu Yu and left the room.

"Uncle Su Yan, I'll send you off." Su Qian immediately followed him out.

It seemed like Uncle Su Yan wanted to climb out of the window again.

"Xiao Qian, do you still remember that Santa Claus who loved to climb out of windows when you were young?" he joked.

Su Qian smiled, "Of course I remember. Every Christmas morning, when I wake up, there will be a present by my bed. I know that it was actually given by Uncle Su Yan."

"Hahaha!" He laughed heartily, and looked at Su Qian quietly for a long time. Then he suddenly took off a ring with a green diamond on it from his thumb and tossed it into Su Qian's hand in a parabola. "This is an early Christmas present this year."

Su Qian did not really care whether it was a ring spirit or a magic treasure. Instead, this Christmas present that came ten months early made her heart skip a beat, "Uncle Su Yan, aren't you going to spend Christmas with Xiao Qian this year?"

Su Yan's stiff figure stood frozen outside the window. His eyes were filled with obvious sadness, and even the smile on the corners of his mouth was forced. "If I had enough time, I would definitely come and spend Christmas with Xiao Qian."

Su Qianyun looked at his honest figure leaning out of the window and her heart was filled with a strong reluctance. She didn't know when she would be able to see Uncle Su Yan again.

"Little... Ah..."

"Uncle Su Yan!"

Su Qian saw with her own eyes that the tall figure had suddenly disappeared out of the window. She hurriedly ran forward to take a look, but the dim yellow street below her was empty, and Uncle Su Yan was nowhere to be seen.

She sighed sadly. She hadn't seen the man whom she had regarded as her biological father for three years. Now that they had finally met, it was just a hasty farewell. They hadn't even properly said goodbye...

When she returned to her room, she buried herself in the quilt with disappointment in her heart.

Less than a week after that night, the remittance from Uncle Su Yan arrived. Su Qian looked at the extra balance in her account and her heart sank. She knew that Uncle Su Yan never liked to flatter others, so he was not very rich. Although her mother still had some early savings, they had been used up to support her education and the lives of the two of them. Since the second year of high school, Su Qian had started to work on holidays.

The new job was in a fancy hotel not far from home. There were three hours every day after school, cleaning the corridors on every floor of the hotel.

"Shallow, did you not sleep well recently? Look at your dark circles." As soon as she entered the classroom, Su Qian's haggard figure was spotted by Lin Lin, who was selling milk tea in class. Her concerned eyes were full of surprise, and there happened to be only one last cup left on the paper tray. She handed it to Su Qian. "Have a cup of black dragon milk tea to refresh yourself."

"Thank you." Su Qian subconsciously wanted to give her money, but before she could do so, she was repelled by her sharp eyes.
