Early in the morning, Lin Kaishan and Tang Xuemei left the house and went to town to buy cotton. Initially, they planned to let Lin Kaishan go alone, but Tang Xuemei was worried that her husband would not be able to understand. She also wanted to walk around the town, so she followed and left Lin Miaoting and Lin Zhize to watch the house.
