C28 Don't Try to Lie to Me

Wen Yiyan stared at her face for a while. His eyes were full of tenderness. Then he slowly lowered his head.

He said in a low voice.

"How did you get hurt?"

"I accidentally tripped while walking today and hit my head."

Wen Yiyan continued to pick up the ice bag to help her apply the ice.

"Don't try to lie to me. You are so stupid. You can't lie to me."

Fannxing's gaze avoided and she did not say anything else.

Wen Yiyan pinched her face.

"Then wait until I get off work tomorrow and go to your hospital to ask."

Fannxing said nervously, "Actually, there was a patient's husband who came to cause trouble today and he attacked us."

Wen Yiyan frowned, "Is he the husband of the patient you are responsible for?"

Fannxing nodded.

Wen Yiyan continued, "Where did he hit you?"

Fannxing pointed at her forehead.

"Under the watchful eyes of everyone, he didn't dare to go too far. He just pushed me, and I didn't stand up and hit the wall."

Wen Yiyan's hand, which was pressing on the ice bag, increased the force.

"When will you learn to protect yourself?"

"I didn't have a direct confrontation with him. I'm a coward, and I'm sure I want to run away, but he's looking for trouble with me. I can't do anything about it."

Her tone was especially helpless. Wen Yiyan said suspiciously, "Is that so?"

Fannxing pointed at her nose. "Do I look like a good girl who is willing to sacrifice herself for others?"

Wen Yiyan ignored her.

He saw that the ice bag started to melt, so he took it down and put it back into the fridge. He used a clean cotton stick to dry the water on Fannxing's forehead.

Then he cut off a piece of ventilation gauze and pasted it on her wound.

When Wen Yiyan was treating the wound, he said, "Why did her husband come to cause trouble?"

Fannxing curled her lips.

"He thought I shouldn't have helped his wife privately. Besides, he said that his wife's condition worsened. He wanted me to compensate him."

Wen Yiyan pasted the gauze on the wound and asked, "Has the patient's condition really worsened?"

Fannxing bit her lips. "Ms Lo and I have agreed to treat her once a week, but she did not appear this week. I don't know what happened either."

Wen Yiyan frowned.

He started to tidy up the things used to treat the wound and arranged them in order to put them back into the medicine box.

Fannxing sighed and told Wen Yiyan what Chen Xi said to teach her a lesson.

She knew that doctors were not allowed to privately treat patients.

Luckily Professor Chen Xi helped her hide it this time.

Otherwise, she would have already become a jobless person.

"You go to work as usual tomorrow. After work, you go and find the patient."

Wen Yiyan said seriously, "You don't need to visit her as a friend. You can also give her treatment suggestions."

Fannxing nodded.

If that was the case, the patient's husband could not accuse her.

Wen Yiyan closed the medicine box.
