ALISHA (POV)

It was late in the evening ,still Alex hasn’t woken up,I moved about checking on him every second to make sure he is breathing.

I acted cool so as not to make mum worried, we couldn’t eat even though I had prepared dinner, I sat on the floor close to him and put on the television to distract myself a little, I looked at my mum and find her asleep on the other couch.

She looked so tired and exhauste,this is what every mother has to face when they start having their own children, I began to question myself if I will be able to go through that stage..

Pain is one thing I wouldn’t want to go through again,I was distracted from my thoughts when I heard Alex call my name.

Alisha!!

Yes dear, I’m right here

How are you feeling Alex?

I’m fine but am hungry and want to eat.

Happily I woke mum up and she was happy to see her son better…

We all went to the dinning table to eat ,I decided to take my time to observe Alex,to my biggest surprise, I find out he has losed so much weight, his face looks so dull,even when he tried to smile

I could still see how dull hIs face looked.

Something is definitely wrong with him.

Alisha ,are you okay?

You haven’t touched your food.

I’m fine mum, with that I started eating my food.

I washed all the plate immediately we were Done eating.

I saw mum following Alex to his room and I decided to take over.

Mum,you can go to your room and rest

I will take care of Alex’

Alright dear, goodnight!!

Goodnight mum.

With that she entered into her room.

I followed Alex to his room and closed the door immediately we entered.

Alex ,are you okay,like do you feel pain In any part of your body?

You can actually tell me the truth,you have reduced all of a sudden.

Alisha am fine,you don’t have to worry about me

I want to sleep now.

I nodded in agreement and left his room.

I went straight to my room collapsed on the bed,I couldn’t stop thinking about how much Alex has reduced ,

Then I decided to keep a close watch on him.

Getting up from the bed I entered into the bathroom did my normal routine and went to bed,I couldn’t sleep,then my thoughts went back to the scene that took place in the restaurant.

There was something about that guy , is eyes holds so much pain and hatred everything about him seems so odd and wrong..

DOMINIC (POV).

I arrived home late and everywhere was quite and empty, looks like the maid had gone home.

I was dammn hungry and I went into the kitchen only to find it empty with no food,I opened the fridge it was only filled with different kinds of drinks.

I couldn’t get angry at her for not cooking because she only followed my instructions.

I took a drink and closed the fridge..I went straight to my room closing the door I sat on the bed holding the drink.

I dropped it ,stood up and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

Coming out of the bathroom ,I looked at the bed and was afraid to sleep due to the nightmares I usually have,I took the drink went to the window and stood there.

And I began to remember how it all started..

My parents marriage was something else,I couldn’t remember the last time they talked and smiled together,they both stay in the same house but they lived as total strangers.

My dad was always busy with work and Never had time for his family,mum on the other hand ever cared ,she comes home every day with different men when Dad isn’t around,

They will both enter into the bedroom and all I would hear was my mum voice I had no idea what was happening then,she would threaten me to keep my mouth shut and not say a word to my dad.

I obeyed and it continued every single day,she Never had time for me or cared about me .

Then everything changed and she started coming home with one particular man

It continued like that ,been a little boy I decided to tell my dad about it..

I did tell him and he confronted mum ,but she denied everything and he was too quick to believe her.

I didn’t blame him for that.

I on the other hand thought I was free since mum didn’t punish me for telling dad.

But my worst punishment began the moment my dad travelled.

Not been able to bear the pain,I came back to reality and went to bed..

I decided to visit the restaurant and make my offer to that bitch..

I don’t have much time left, thankfully sleep took over and I was happy for that..

ALISHA (POV).

I got to school early and was happy I entered Into the lecture room before the lecturer came in.

I was happy when I came downstairs this morning and met Alex smiling and playing.

Mum decided to let him stay home for that day so she could observe him,I couldn’t blame her for that every other mother will do the same.

I told them goodbye and skipped breakfast.

I looked round the lecture room trying to spot christina and I saw her talking to a guy seated beside her.

The lecture ended and before I knew it Christina was right beside me.

What type of a friend abadon her own friend not caring to call or text .

Tina, I’m very sorry have been very busy and alot has happened so far

Tell me about it Alisha am all ears

I explained everything to her from how I fainted on the road,to the incident that took place in the restaurant and then to Alex becoming ill.

I’m really sorry dear,but who is that guy?

And the way you talk about him shows that you really do hate him.

To be sincere Tina, I don’t know talk more of knowing his name,he is nothing but bad news.

Everything will be okay,she smiled and said

I nodded picked up my bag and stood up, can we go get something to eat?

Sure ,she nodded and we both walked out of the lecture room

We brought snack and eat.

My parents are planning to get divorce Tina said

I was shocked and surprised,I looked at her and saw the pain in her,no one could tell she was in pain with the way she acted so cool and lively Back in the lecture room.

I know her to be someone who could hold in alot of pain and still pretend everything was Alright.

I just wished they can settle their differences and stay married,she continued saying

And I had to keep quiet and allowed her speak.

Mum is finding it difficult to forgive dad, because she couldn’t believe he could cheat on her with another woman ,now the woman in question says she is pregnant for my dad.

Right now mum is in so much pain and she is allowing that cloud her reasoning.

Tina,you know we can never get all we always wish for,let just pray and hope they settle this, instead of going for a divorce.

I hope they do .

With that we continued eating our snack not saying a word.

When we’re done I bid her goodbye and promised to keep in touch with her,with that I left and headed for the restaurant..

DOMINIC (POV).

I left home very early and went straight to the office ,I changed my mind and decided to get to the office first before heading to the restaurant..

I got to the office and met Linda dressed decently.

I smiled and walked into my office, finally have seen a responsible secretary.

I went through all that file on my desk and signed the ones needed to be signed.

Once everything was done and set,I left the office entered into the car and told the driver to take me to the restaurant.

I got there and the whole place was crowded with alot of people as usual .

I sat down on an empty sit looking around trying to see her,but I couldn’t then a lady walked up to me.

We are at your service,you can place your order.

I looked at her and decided to ask her .

I described the girl to her and she told me she went to school but will soon get here.

I nodded , ordered for a drink and decided to wait for her

The lady came with the drink and tried to flirt with me I ignored her and she angrily walked away..

ALISHA (POV)

I entered into the restaurant and went to change as usual,then I started my work immediately.

I looked around trying to see if all the customers have been attended to when I sighted him taking is drink gently and he was looking at me.

I ignored him and sat down on the counter.

I was lost in thought ,when I heard a voice behind me

I turned around and saw it was him.

Hi,I’m Dominic

And you are?

I looked at him and was confused ,why is he acting all nice and cool

I’m Alisha

Have been waiting for you,I actually came to see you.

I was surprised .

Not at all I came to make an offer that will change your life and will benefit you in the future .

Am willing to give you 8milliom if you agree to get married to me ,then you bear me a son , then after one year ,you are free to live your life and take over my companies..

I was shocked beyond measure,I decided to laugh over it thinking it was just a joke ,when I saw the serious look he gave to me, immediately I knew he wasn’t joking.

And what is the reason for all this? I asked

The reason is non of your business ,all I need is your answer,all this last for only a year but my son will bear my name.

I looked at him not knowing what to say,or the response to give to him
