Suddenly, the front door burst open, and two police officers came charging in. He grinned wickedly. He knew they wouldn't be able to see him for a moment or so until their eyes become accustomed to the darkroom. He aimed the rifles at them. He fired two quick shots. Blood appeared on their faces, and they both fell forward, their hands clawing the air.
