C2 Bad Means

"Hey, hey, hey, you..."

Ruan Qingge barely had time to call for help before the man's fingers swiftly pressed a few points on her body. Her waist and neck went numb, leaving her completely immobilized and unable to make a sound.

Who would have thought that someone who looked so decent could be so sleazy and vile?

Unable to speak, Ruan Qingge could only express her anger through her eyes. Having lived in a modern, civilized society, she knew acupuncture but had never encountered such a strange skill as acupressure.

The man covered her eyes with one hand, and as their skin touched, she felt an unusually high temperature radiating from him.

Is this guy... poisoned?

His face was flushed unnaturally, and his eyes were cold, filled with emotions Ruan Qingge couldn't decipher. She had never experienced anything like this, but she knew enough to sense that the aura he exuded was terrifying, as if he could devour her at any moment.

As she thought this, the man indeed acted on it!

Damn it! This hurts like hell!

Ruan Qingge wanted to fight back, but her frail body had been malnourished for so long, and she had already expended her energy earlier. Now...

Ruan Qingge was certain she wouldn't let this man get away with it!

Her eyes were filled with such venomous intent that the man, with his hand still on her face, realized her mouth was now free to move.

She vented her anger by biting down hard on his pinky finger, not holding back at all, as if she wanted to tear it off.

The man paused, letting out a muffled grunt from the pain. He hadn't expected the girl beneath him, even after being subdued, to fight back so fiercely.

The pain in his hand ignited a furious rage in him, like a beast unleashed.

Under the moonlit sky by the lake, it was as if they were locked in a silent battle, neither willing to give an inch.

When he finally pulled his finger free, it was a mess of blood and flesh, with fresh blood seeping from the bite marks, dripping down to his hand. He stood up, straightened his clothes, and with a calm breath, sneered, "You're a crazy woman."

"Crazy woman? I think you're the one who's lost it!" Qingge retorted, clutching her clothes tightly, glaring at him with disdain. "You're nothing but a pathetic brute."

His anger flared at her words, and he raised his hand, ready to strike. Qingge rolled away just in time, putting some distance between them. "What, done with me and now you want to burn bridges?"

As she rolled away, Qingge suddenly realized that the hold on her had been broken. Her eyes narrowed, watching him warily for his next move.

Damn it, in her past life, Qingge was someone even a military commander would greet with a smile. And today, not only did a man take advantage of her, but he also wanted to kill her to keep her quiet?

"I'll tell you this: you've been poisoned. If you harm me, no one else can save you."

Qingge was bluffing, but to her surprise, the man paused, looking at her with a mix of surprise and suspicion, his eyes dark and intense.

"Hmph." Qingge smirked. "I'll settle the score with you sooner or later. But if you don't treat that poison, you won't have many months left. If you kill me, I'll wait for you in the afterlife. You're easy on the eyes, so I wouldn't mind."

The man twitched at her words. As he took a couple of steps forward, Qingge immediately shrieked and shrank back. "I'm warning you, don't come any closer, or I'll spill everything about today and then bite my tongue to end it all. You'll be disgraced and die from the poison."

A nasty threat.

He paused, glaring at Qingge with a fierce intensity, his voice hoarse as he warned, "Then keep your mouth shut, or I'll make sure you disappear without a trace."

Qingge shivered at his gaze, but to her surprise, he didn't make another move and turned to leave.

Qingge breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed her guess was right—this man really did have an incurable condition, one that no medicine could cure!
