C20 Why can't I teleport today?

As the sunlight kissed the rooftop of Ara's bookstore, she was in the cashier's chair, resting her chin on her palm, and her gaze had been fixed on the opposite bookstore, where a lot of customers were coming and going. She furrowed with scowling cheek.

But two dogs were napping near her bookstore's opened main door as the sun's hot rays blocked the roof from reaching that dog's sleeping place. At the park, a few people are walking with dogs along the narrow road, and families with children play along the wide grassy ground. Four girls in uniform settled on the park bench with their phones in hand.

At the time, a peep sound popped up from all of their phones. Their fingers touched the message with an absent mind, their eyes moved from left to right to read it, and they were all glowering at the picture from the message, as they felt like fire blowing from their shoulders even in the calm, cold wind.

Immediately after that, they stood up quickly in the same way and gave roguish stares at each other like they were going to do something illegal.

A few minutes later, the girls were peeking at Ara from a little distance as Ara's face casually caught a glimpse of their checking eyes for a second. They hide half of themselves behind the wall. "There she is!" One of the girls darkly voiced. Stared scornfully. and the other girls followed her stare. That looked terrific.

Then they move forward towards her store without hesitation.

Meanwhile, the dogs started barking at the four girls, who were just four steps away from reaching Ara's bookstore. They were startled; their bodies bounced a little from the ground.

Ara straightened up her posture, shifted her gaze from the opposite store to her store's main entrance, stood up fast, and walked towards them as soon as she noticed the dog barking at them with furious eyes and terrific teeth.

But the four girls ran away from there while the dogs kept barking at them furiously without letting them enter the shop.

Ara rushed out of the store and saw them running away without even looking back.

"Hey, girls!" she shouted. Then, she disappointedly turned to the dogs, who are now sitting down to continue their nap. She stepped towards them, wrying at them, and rested her angry, forced hand on her hip. But dogs were absent from her reaction.

So, she gripped the dog's neck skin and dragged them out of the shop one by one. She yelled, "I don't have any customers yet."

"But you two are just sitting here and barking at my rare customers." She gave a dark eye at the dogs, who just didn't mind her words but kept staring at her.

"Do not come unless you bring customers here!" She demanded and crossed her hands over her chest, twisting her face.

The dogs barked at her twice, like they were cursing her, and moved on from there.

"Just useless fellows!" She cursed and went in. The owner of the opposite bookshop giggled a little as he watched her attitude.

Time passed, the sun met the mountain, and its rays made the clouds look like lavender. No customers were visiting Ara's shop. even though, she had patiently crossed that lonely period in her shop.

The time was 7:00 p.m. She closed the bookshop, while her opposite bookshop hadn't closed yet.

At FFB's tiny penthouse, there was a small set made to cook outside with chairs and long tables. Lights were also fixed to give enough brightness to that place.

Bitgaram was cooking meat on a barbecue, and Dae-Seong was giving a hand to Bitgaram. Dae-Hyun was standing beside boiling water like he was going to cook. Our Do-Yun was coming from the house with glasses and wine bottles in his hand, and the dog following back at his feet.

"Must I put all of this pocket in water?" Dae-Hyun showed Bitgaram the five noodles packet with his pathetic eyes.

"Yes, Do-Yun asked for extra for himself." He replied, as his concentration was on flipping half-cooked meat.

In the meantime, "I'm so hungry, Hyung." Do-Yun pouted cutely and put the wine bottles and drinking glasses on the table.

"Ah..." Dae-Hyun trailed off his word as the steam of hot, boiling water punched his soft face slightly.

That dog, which was standing beside Do-Yun's leg, crossed to the other side by crawling under the table. He jumped on the chair and sat perfectly by placing his booty on the chair.

In between that, rumors were spreading on the internet with the sharing of pictures of Do-Yun standing by the side of a drunken girl (Ara), hand in hand.

Furthermore, there were bad comments about them spreading faster than a virus; those were things like, "How could Do-Yun betray his Beatz (fans)?"

"It's all that drunken drama, girl!"

And there were some good comments too, which talked about Do-Yun's innocence. Those are, "Don't think too much, guys."

"He's always kind to people around him."

"Yeah, he just does it with a helpful mind to help the drunk girl."

Even though, the bad comments were the only ones spread over the country.

The time was 8:45 p.m.That rumor reached Ga-Eul (Ara's crush) too. His worried hand dialed Ara's number quickly and without any consideration.

But, that phone sounded like the number is not available or busy.

So, he pressed the hang-up option as his whole fear and disturbed mind expressed themselves through his finger.

The time was 8:55 in FFB's living room in the tiny penthouse. Do-Yun and his members were having fun talking with each other in that bright living room and dancing crazily because of the drinks in their stomachs. And that dog also plays with them by rhyming their foot movements.

In Do-Yun's room, there was one cup of noodles and a punch of meat on the white plate that was arranged on the desk.

Do-Yun looked at the wall clock; the clock showed 9:00 p.m. So, he moved to his room without knowing his drunken hyung.

Ara's cheerful and excited eyes looked at the clock, and he closed his eyes slowly with a calm mind. Meanwhile, Ara opened her eyes.

Ara's wondering expression was dead in a second, as seen around the place.

That was her home; the clock showed the time as 9:01 PM.

She stepped on the floor harshly, clenched her wrist out of disappointment, and the confusion started to engine her eye. "what's wrong?" She complained to the wall clock. and she added, "Why can't I teleport?"

In Do-Yun's room, he looked at the time on the wall clock in his room. He also brooded over the noodles after realizing the time was 9:01 p.m.

In a fraction of a second, he came out of his room, his eyes wandering around the house. But, Ara wasn't anywhere. So, he blinked as nothing came to his mind except her.
