The original character's name was just one word longer than hers: Wei Tiantian.

Wei Tiantian was the daughter of the wealthiest family in the city, the Wei family. However, at birth, she was switched at the hospital, and by the time the family discovered the mistake, both children were already nineteen.

Afterward, Wei Tiantian was brought back to the Wei family. But the child who had been mistakenly raised by them for nineteen years was not sent away, as the Wei family had grown attached to her.

The Wei family was large and prosperous, so they didn't mind raising an extra daughter.

However, Wei Ya, who had grown up in the Wei family, began to resent them. She hated the Wei family for abandoning her over a mere blood relation, yet hypocritically allowing her to stay, turning her into a laughingstock in high society.

What Wei Ya resented most was that Tiantian had taken her place as the wealthy heiress. If Tiantian hadn't suddenly appeared, she wouldn't have gone from being the daughter of a rich family to the daughter of a woman with a scandalous past.

So, Wei Ya, who stayed with the family, began to subtly undermine Tiantian. Nineteen years of living in luxury had made Wei Ya a true heiress, and under her deliberate manipulation, Tiantian was made to feel like an ugly duckling among swans.

Tiantian was unfairly labeled as arrogant and ruthless, and to make matters worse, Wei Ya schemed to win over Tiantian's boyfriend, Zitao, the illegitimate son of the Ning family. Heartbroken, Tiantian, who had always been meek, finally couldn't take it anymore and started to confront Wei Ya.

To the family, this only confirmed their belief that Tiantian was malicious. Still, she was their daughter, so her parents sent her abroad. Little did they know, Wei Ya and Zitao conspired to lead Tiantian into addiction overseas, using it to control her into attending scandalous parties, recording videos, and sending them back home.

Upon seeing the video, Wei's mother was so shocked that she fell seriously ill and passed away a few days later. Wei Tiantian, overwhelmed by despair after learning the truth, planned to take Wei Ya down with her. However, Wei Ya was already aware of Tiantian's intentions and avoided the confrontation, instead tricking the Wei family's adopted son, Wei Sucheng, into going in her place. Tiantian died on the spot, and Sucheng was severely injured, ending up in a coma.

Devastated by his son's condition, caused by his own daughter, Wei's father suffered a stroke. With Wei Ya as the sole heir, she took over the family's business empire. She later married Ning Zitao, an illegitimate son who had risen to prominence. Despite their marriage, Wei Ya and Ning Zitao couldn't trust each other due to their mutual knowledge of each other's pasts. Their constant scheming led to the downfall of both the Wei and Ning family businesses.

The collapse of these leading companies triggered a national economic downturn, resulting in high unemployment rates and increased despair among the population. Wei Tiantian's mission was twofold: first, to avenge herself against Wei Ya and Ning Zitao, and second, to prevent the financial ruin of the Wei and Ning families.

With a slight smile, Tiantian chuckled softly. The so-called mission from that ghostly system seemed so simple, lacking the challenge of a real strategic game.

After thinking carefully about the situation, Tiantian realized she had arrived at a pivotal moment: her first birthday party with her new family, the Wei family, and the first time Wei Ya would try to frame her.

The Wei family, eager to show they treated both daughters equally, had given them rooms close to each other. Early that morning, while changing clothes, Wei Ya claimed she had lost a cherished gemstone pendant she'd had since childhood and even cried about it.

Coincidentally, Tiantian finished dressing and was wearing that very pendant, which Wei Sucheng, the Wei family's adopted son, happened to notice.

Wei Sucheng immediately grabbed Tiantian's arm, demanding she return the pendant to Wei Ya.

Tiantian had found the pendant on her vanity that morning and assumed her parents had given it to her since she had no jewelry of her own. Little did she know, stepping out of her room would lead to Wei Ya accusing her of theft.

Wei Sucheng treated her like a thief, grabbing her arm and questioning her.

In the original storyline, this incident caused Tiantian to clash with Wei Ya and Wei Sucheng, leading to a loud argument that the early-arriving guests witnessed, resulting in the Wei family being mocked for quite some time.

The birthday party, which should have been a joyous occasion, was ruined.

A gemstone worth hundreds of thousands of dollars meant little to the Wei family, but the incident successfully painted Tiantian as petty and reckless in their eyes.

Now, Tiantian had taken over for Ruizi. She glanced at the sapphire on the ground, about the size of a thumb, then looked up at the two people in front of her. Tiantian's lips curled into a slight smile. "Yeah, it was unintentional. Such a tiny thing, yet you’ve cherished it like a treasure for years!"
