The beginning was a bit sigh-worthy, but it got better. FL got stronger & did what most FLs did not - leave the ML for good. As much as I hate to admit it, the ML did learn his lesson.
I like the open ending . The son now knows about his father’s existence (like she promised). I wonder if he will pursue a relationship with his father because of this?
I also love that this was not like most CNs where the child illogically “protects” the bio dad because of “blood bond.”
