' Are you still having those nightmares? ' Nyla asked as I drove her home . No one knew about my nightmares apart from my parents . I was surprised how Nyla knew I had them .

' How did you know about that ? 'I asked as I took a turn to the ice cream place . She suggested we get ice cream so she could apologize for what happened in the morning .

' I overheard your mum telling my dad about it . ' she replied . Well I wasn't surprised . My mum tells Nyla's dad almost everything . I packed in front of the ice cream place and Nyla got down to go and get it .

' What flavor do you want ?' she asked leaning against the passenger's door .

' Chocolate and Almond . ' I replied and gave her a small smile .

She went into the building and I picked up my phone to check for messages . There were two messages from Ian .

' Guy, where did you go ? '

And the second one, ' I just saw Nymeria . She saw you with Nyla and the look on her face was murderous . I was about to reply when Nyla when back with ice cream . She handed me my cup and an ice cream spoon .

'You should take it now so that it won't defrost . ' she said digging into hers . I started taking mine when Nyla started talking again .

" So do you still have them ? ' she asked again scooping a spoon of ice cream into her mouth . "

' Yes but I don't think I can exactly call them nightmares now because they are not scary anymore . ' I replied and took a spoon of my ice cream .

Her brows furrowed in confusion but I didn't explain further . No one would believe me if I said I was dreaming I was a wolf and loving another she wolf in my dream .

We finished our ice cream and I started driving her back home . It was half past four already and I have a date with Nymeria .

The drive back to her house was short and silent . I parked opposite the front door and it was time for her to get down but she was not moving .

' Do you want to stay back ? We can play board games or video games . ' she said .

' No Nyla . I have a date to prepare for . ' I replied eager to get home .

'A date with who ? ' she asked surprised ,

' Nymeria ' I replied .

She looked sad for a moment then put on a strained smile .

' Okay . Good luck and see you tomorrow . ' she said getting down from the car and going towards the house without looking back . I took a deep breath and drove off . I got home in minutes since the road was traffic free .

Surprisingly, I saw Nyla's dad's car in the garage . I parked, got down from my car and went into the house . Nyla's dad and my mum were sitting on the couch . Talking .

As I entered the house, their eyes snapped to me .

' We have been waiting for you . ' my mum said quietly

.' Come and have your seat . ' she continued pointing to the opposite couch .

I recovered from my shock and sat where she directed .

' Why exactly were you outside today ? ' she asked clasping her hands together . I was about to talk when she raised her hand . ' Do not lie that you went for a run and do not look for any more lies either because I am not stupid . '

' I woke up in the woods . I didn't want you to be worried that's why I lied . ' I replied calmly .

' What happened to you hours before you realized you forgot your insulin ? ' Nyla's dad asked .

I looked to my mum . She nodded her head and I replied ' I was confused . I felt weird . ' I didn't explain further .

' Weird how ? ' he pressed .

' I could hear some things I was not meant to hear . It was like my senses were heightened . ' I explained .

They looked to each other and a weird type of communication passed between them .

' Okay . You can go now . We will talk later . ' my mum said and I walked to my room to prepare for my date pushing the awkward conversation I just had aside .

I took a quick shower and I dressed in black slacks with a green t shirt that kind of matched my eyes . I put on my Air Jordans and put some gel in my hair to sleek it back .

By the time I was done, the time was already quarter to six . I was going to be a bit late to Nymeria's place . I passed the back door out of the house to avoid questions and went into the garage . I got into my car and drove towards Nymeria's house . Her house was in a secluded place surrounded by lots of green grasses and trees . They didn't have neighbors . The closest other person living with them was miles away . I got down from the car feeling nervous and I went to knock on the front door . Before I could knock, Nymeria opened the door smiling . She was dressed in a peach colored cashmere sweater that looked so great with her skin and cute skinny jeans .

' You look beautiful . ' I said smirking .

' You don't look bad either . ' she replied her eyes twinkling .

' You ready ? ' I asked .

' Yeah . I will just grab my bag . You can wait in the car . ' she replied then closed the door in my face . Looks like she didn't want me inside her house . I went back to the car and waited for her . She was out in minutes . I opened the car door and she went in and strapped her seat belt on . I entered the car and drove to the cinema .

We fell into a comfortable silence till we got to the cinema . It wasn't long since the cinema was not all that far .

We entered the cinema and I paid for the movie tickets and popcorn while she picked out the movie .

I was hoping she didn't pick an hopeless romantic movie . Fortunately, she picked Fast and Furious 9 which worked out well for me . We watched the movie which was hilarious and had suspense . And in some parts, she held my hand without knowing which made me feel all warm and mushy . The movie ended well and it was time to go . We held hands as we went back to the car .

On the drive back to her house, I decided to ask some questions .

' Why did you move from Alaska ? '

' Oh its time for the serious questions ? ' she asked jokingly .

I smiled but didn't say anything so as not to pressure her to replying me ,

' Daddy issues . He did something very bad and we had to move . ' she said fiddling with her fingers .

' You don't have siblings ? ' I asked again .

' No I don't . My mom died before she could give them to me . ' she replied and I could hear the sadness in her voice .

' I'm sorry . '

' It's okay . What about you ? '

' My dad didn't want more kids ' I replied parking the car . We were at her house already .

' Do you want to do this again ? ' I asked .

' Of course . I enjoyed myself . Thank you . ' she replied giving me a full smile .

The air in the car suddenly went heavy . Then I moved closer to her . I slanted my head and placed my lips on hers . Her lips parted and my tongue slipped inside . She moaned softly and her hands went around my neck and into my hair . She kissed me back with more ferocity and I broke it off before it could get anymore heated .

' See you tomorrow ' she whispered and got out of the car . She turned and waved when she got to the front door . I waved back and drove home grinning like an idiot .
