Miranda's POV

I can't believe this

Jaguar

A police officer

I scoffed inwardly

Well that's not my problem anyway

"Your hands behind your back, drop your weapons"he said and I chuckled

Jaguar who played my heart

It's time to play him

"Like seriously I should do what, I don't think you have heard of this assassin before"I said and I heard him scoff

I made sure to twist my intonation to avoid him finding out

"Just take a look dear assassin,you are surrounded "he said and I heard the foolish officer's cork their guns

Pathetic

"Do you think I would be afraid of some pathetic, frail looking and woman like officers JAGUAR"I said in a husky tone and he shook

He would be really surprised how I knew his name

So so surprised

Even if I were in his position I would be surprised as hell

"How do you know my name"he asked and I gave out a hearty laugh trying to while away time

Immediately I saw the signal

Phew they are here

"Well seems am not the only one surrounded,guess what you are also "I said and they all shook turning around giving me the time to escape

One shot at my leg but one of my team members was fast to slice his throat

I started climbing the fence wondering why my feet hurts so much since am on bulletproof

I saw Jaguar running after me but boss was quick to show up

Pathetic officers

I jumped down and felt my leg sting

I sighted my car and ran towards it jumping in and turning on the GPS location

"Maltimon"I muttered and relaxed my back as the car started moving

That's how the car works

I use that opportunity to check my legs and found out I didn't draw down the trousers down

Dang it

No wonder it penetrated

I got down from the car as soon as I got to maltimon and met boss and the other team members back

Am the only girl in the team if you care to know

"Boss you are back,"I said boss works like a spirit

I limped towards him and he held me up

"What happened to you"he asked

Boss and his questions

"I was shot "I said making my way inside ignoring the stares from the others

They all feel like boss has a soft spot for me more than them

They don't know the rigorous training I had to take when I got here

Boss interrogated me because he claimed that he doesn't want a female here

"Miranda"I heard my name being called and I jolted out of my reverie

I turned to see Sam the personal doctor here calling me

He also works for boss but he is a doctor

I wonder why he came here anyway since he has a good proffession but you never can tell what happened to him

I myself would not have believed I would end up Working For A Mafia

"Sit Miranda "he says and I sat down quietly

He brought out his first aid kit and raised my legs up

"Your ankles are slightly dislocated "he said and I bent my head to look at my legs and nodded

"Uhmm this is going to hurt since I have found no traces of the bullet in your body,I have to straighten your ankle so I want you to hold yourself..

"Quit the speech Sam"I said mentally rolling my eyes

Am an assassin for goodness sake how would this hurt

Immediately I felt an excruciating pain that ran through my legs to my head my medulla oblongata to be precised and I yelped

Sam gave me a look that says I told you so

Jeez

It hurts like hell

I rubbed my feet as soon as he let go

I felt the pain dying down bit by bit .

"Here have this "he said handing me some pain relievers

"I will go get you a glass of water"he said and I held his hands

"Thanks Sam" I said and he chuckled before walking away

"Boss I really need to go home"I said ruffling my hair

Well I have been begging him since I regained my strength but he has remained adamant

What do I tell Mitchell?

"Boss please"I said and he gave me a stare

"It's already late Miranda,you can't leave now and it's final "he said and I felt like laughing so hard

It's already late

I had no other option but to retreat back to my room here in maltimon

I am going to leave as early as possible

Mitchell can't wake up and not find me there

And the window is even open

How do I explain that

I lay down and shut my eyes to sleep

The time is 3pm

Once it's 5pm am out

I have less than two hours to leave

I groaned angrily as the alarm clock rang out

I covered my head with a pillow and knew it was fruitless because Miranda would soon wake me up

I closed my ears and waited

A minute nothing happened

I was forced to get up and turned around the room but I saw no traces of her

And what the heck

Is that window opened

I felt goosebumps already

What could have happened

I got up and checked under the bed and the wardrobe,the toilet but no sign of her

Oh Lord

Was she abducted but why did they leave me

WHERE IS MIRANDA??

I fell down to the floor as alot of negative thoughts ran through my mind

I tried to brush them away when I heard a knock on the door

Is it the abductors

Are they here for me also?
